Chapter 351 - Nagging husbands

On Wednesday afternoon, Lu Shaoting saw Su Ling off. Lu Aotian was there for the same reason-seeing Wan Jia off. The negotiation would be on Thursday so the two women chose to go the day before to adjust to the time zone.

Before Wan Jia got into the private plane, Lu Aotian pulled her into his arms for the umpteenth time. "Remember…"

Wan Jia interrupted him with an eye roll. "I know. Call you once I arrive in Country A, don't leave my hotel room on my own, don't go anywhere without bodyguards, don't seek trouble, keep warm, call you if I need anything…you've nagged me a thousand times already, jeez!" Her ears were getting calluses from hearing the same phrase thousands of times.

"You forgot the most important. To call me every night."

"It's just four days. Do you have to nag me so much?" They both wanted stay one extra day to look around City C and play around the beach. But with her husband acting this way, she didn't know if she would anymore. 

"I'm only worried about you." He pinched her chin. If it were someone obedient, he wouldn't need to worry but this little wife of his was addicted to causing trouble. Who was to say she wouldn't use the chance to fly to the sky?

"Be good. I promise to return to you in one piece. Not even a waft of trouble on me. Okay, husband?" she kissed the corner of his lips in pacification.

Since she made it a promise, he believed her and let go. Su Ling had got into the plane just a moment ago. Only when the plane took off did Lu Aotian withdraw his gaze. He turned to see his brother also gazing in the same direction.

He looked at Lu Shaoting coldly. "What are you looking at?"

Lu Shaoting was astounded. "I was only looking at my wife, for goodness sake. Bro, I know you already miss your wife but you don't have to take it out on me, do you?"

In the private plane.

"President Lu really cares for you." Su Ling teased.

"You would think I'm leaving for four years." 

They both giggled. Su Ling had been nagged endlessly too. So much that she wished she wasn't going. Neither of them minded it, it only proved how muc their husbands cared about them.

"You should quit calling him so formally." Wan Jia suddenly said.

"What?" Su Ling didn't understand and probed.

"Aotian. He's your brother-in-law. You are part of the family. You shouldn't address him the same way outsiders do."

Su Ling found it terrifying. She and Lu Shaoting were not yet married! "Wouldn't I die for calling him that?"

Wan Jia found her hilarious. Her nervous expression looked as though she had been told to call the royal emperor by a nickname. "Why would you die? You are his sister-in-law. He won't mind it if you call him that."

With time, their relationship had become more of friends or family than superior and subordinate. It was about time they stopped with the formalities. Besides, Lu Shaoting started addressing her as his sister-in-law long before she and Lu Aotian started dating.

"Then does that mean…!"

"Yup. You should address me as your sister-in-law." Wan Jia slung an arm around Su Ling's shoulder as though she was talking to a child. "Say it for me to hear."

"S..sis-in-law." Su Ling felt like she had lost half a life just by saying those three syllables.

Wan Jia giggled. "You are too cute. People might think you are scared of me."

I AM scared of you! Who in their right mind isn't scared of President's Lu's woman? Not to mention how terrible the fate of those who offend you is. No, wait. It's brother-in-law now.

Actually, at first she would tremble as though she had done something wrong every time Wan Jia called her name. She was like a mouse in the presence of a cat that might swallow her up any moment. After spending a lot of casual time together in their gatherings, she was still scared of her but not as much as she used to be.

It was 7pm when they landed in Country A. Their hotel rooms had already been booked beforehand. They simply had to check in and have dinner in the restaurant in the lobby.

"This hotel is so beautiful. The color scheme is noble and the furnishing is pretty elegant. Not to mention how beautiful the view is from my room's window. It's so inspiring that I'm tempted to return to Elite Fashion World." Well, that was Wan Jia. If she didn't care about the view from her window and how inspiring it was, how would she still be Wan Jia? "It's even classier than Emerald Grand Hotel."

Su Ling who was passing some time by playing video games with Wan Jia disagreed. "Emerald Grand Hotel is the most perfect hotel I've ever seen. No matter how you look at it, this one's still miles away from being on the same level of beauty.  Whether it's Emerald Grand Hotel's decor or the ambiance, or the food served in the restaurant on the first floor…" If Su Ling was representing Emerald Grand Hotel on a debate, it would surely win.

"That's because Shaoting is the owner. It's definitely perfect in your eyes."

Su Ling blushed when she teased her like that. Well, it was true. Anything that belonged to Lu Shaoting was perfect in her eyes.
