Chapter 304 - You meant well

Name:My Beautiful Love Author:Avalorian_
As soon as Lu Aotian said that, he received information on his laptop. Soon after, he personally uploaded something on his social media. He didn't care about people misunderstanding his daughter. After all the truth was nothing close to that. All he did was state that she was his biological daughter and she was not terminally ill.

Since he was Lu Aotian, he didn't need to provide any evidence. His words were definitely believed.  But there may be one thing that he couldn't control no matter how capable he was.

....

Within the same day, all the rumors were cleared. As for the Yan family, he let them spread false stories about Yan Xue and Lu Shaoting. The more they spread them, the harder their end would hit them when it arrived. He pretended not to mind when people cursed his brother for his poor upbringing.  Also, he wanted to use this incident to fish out all backstabbers of Lu Enterprises. All those who would side with the Yan family would also be blacklisted by him.

While he waited for the Yan family's supporters to accumulate, he went on with his other business.

That afternoon, he and Lu Shaoting met the little Genius Zede. Although he was nothing close to him or Lu Shaoting, he was more intelligent than most of those geniuses at LSC. Therefore, he employed him.

One look at the cat robot and he had better ideas to develop it. Although its creator would remain as Zede, he would help the young genius make it smaller, faster and more efficient.

"Thank you President." The young man was overjoyed when he finally got the job.

Lu Aotian asked his secretary to draft a contract and gave it to him. "Read through the contract carefully and sign it if you have no issues."

"I wouldn't have an issue even if there was one." He was surprised when he saw the first page. "Lu Enterprises? I thought I would be an employee of LSC."

Lu Aotian didn't answer his question. He only gave the young man a stern look. "Whatever happens, don't make me investigate you."

"I don't have anything to investigate." He swore and signed the contract without reading through it. That was how much he trusted Lu Enterprises.

The same afternoon, something Lu Aotian would never have expected happened at Royal Kindergarten.

Children were such innocent creatures with good intentions lingering wherever they went. However, sometimes their good intentions did not bear good results. One such time was when Little Jia's little friend, Shen Yue, saw Little Jia when they were out to play.

She ran over with snacks. "Little Jia, these are for you. I hope you feel better faster."

Little Jia thought that Shen Yue was talking about her headache from Wednesday night. She accepted the snacks happily. "Thank you Little Yue, it was only a headache. I don't feel it anymore."

Shen Yue furrowed her eyebrows. "A headache? But the news said it was Leukemia."

"What news?" Little Jia asked.

"You didn't read the news this morning? Don't worry, I didn't read it either. I only overheard it from the conversation between my mommy and my brother." In attempt to help her friend, Shen Yue went ahead to say, "Little Jia, my brother is a very talented doctor. If you want, I can ask him to treat you."

Little Jia wasn't paying attention. Her mind was filled with that one word. Leukemia. "Is it a very serious illness?"

No wonder the teachers were looking at her differently from how they usually did. So it was because the news said that she was sick.

Shen Yue saw her shocked expression and realized that she had probably done something she shouldn't have. She smiled to try and save the situation. "Little Jia, it's not bad. It's just like when we have fevers. The doctors cure it very fast."

However, that only made Little Jia scared. "Don't talk to me anymore! You are a liar!"

If it wasn't that bad, why was it that her parents looked worried at the hospital the previous morning? What was with the sudden medicine that she was being made to take? Why was it that when they were playing the previous day, her daddy looked like he had something on his mind? She was still a baby, but she wasn't that easily deceivable.

As soon as she shouted at Shen Yue, the latter was so scared that she thought Little Jia was going to hit her. She burst into tears. Little Jia was yet to apologize when one of the slightly older kids looked over as though in surprise. "Is Lu Meili going to hit her friend? I told you she was dangerous."

Little Jia glared at those kids. Luckily, Wan Jia had come to pick her up and arrived just as Little Jia was about to lose her temper.

"Mommy!" she rushed to hug her mother's leg.

Wan Jia picked her up and rubbed her hair. "Baby, have you been bullied?"

She nodded her little head like a chicken pecking at grains. "Little Yue lied to me. Mommy, Little Jia is very sad."

Shen Yue saw the situation and rushed to Wan Jia. "Auntie, I didn't mean to." She explained the situation while still in tears.

Wan Jia used one hand to wipe her tears. "Don't feel sad about it. You meant well. However, not everything you hear people talking about is true."

Shen Yue nodded and smiled instantly. "Auntie Wan Jia is very kind."
