Chapter 244 - Your man can't protect you?

Yun Xuan went to her room and locked the door. Her intuition was right. Yun Jifeng was indeed hiding something. They seemed to be against Lu Aotian and from what she heard, she was at least fifty percent sure that they were the ones on the attacking side. What she was shocked about was that her father seemed to know about it. What were the both of them up to? Perhaps...it was time to really find out. 

She ordered some things online, had them delivered at her studio and left the house. 

After picking her delivery, she entered her car and went to Lu Enterprises. When she was a street away, she went into a hotel, changed into the Wan Jia version of herself and entered the building with "Lu Enterprises" engraved on it. 

In the lobby, she answered the greetings with a nod and waited. She was not sure which one was Lu Aotian's personal elevator.

She waited for a while to see the elevator that no one would use. 

The beautiful ladies at the reception found it a little strange that the lady boss was not going to the President's office. 

"What's the lady boss doing?" one of them whispered to another.

"I don't know either. Perhaps she is waiting for President Lu?" 

"Perhaps she is inspecting the company on behalf of President Lu."

Although they were puzzled, they were afraid of bothering the lady boss and did not dare to go up to her. 

One lady looked at Yun Xuan and squinted her eyes. "Strange..." 

"What is?"

"This woman...she..." 

Yun Xuan entered the President's elevator before she completed her statement. 

Her colleague was waiting. "Is there something wrong?" 

She shook her head. "It's nothing. I was just thinking that her face and figure look different today. I was almost sure she is not our lady boss but when I saw her successfuly enter President Lu's elevator I dismissed it."

That woman was quite attentive.

A short while ago, in Lu Aotian's office. 

Lu Aotian was going through some contracts when a small part of the floor of his office slid open. Out of it came a metallic figure. It peered around and when its scanning eyes only spotted Lu Aotian, the robot climbed out and marched metallically to him. 

"Master, master, intruder." It was ready to summon its fellow robots to protect their master.

Lu Aotian turned the robot and opened a section of its back to reveal a screen. He saw someone disguised as Wan Jia walking towards his private elevator. 

"Tsk, Yun Xuan." He switched off the identification system. For her to go through all that risk and trouble, it couldn't be so simple.

From the screen on the robot's back, he saw that she was going straight to his office. 

"Master, Miss Yun Xuan is currently twenty steps away from your office." the robot reported. 

"Master..." 

Lu Aotian shooed it away. If not, it would report every three steps of Yun Xuan. 

...

"What are you doing here?" Lu Aotian asked coldly when she reached his office. 

Yun Xuan might have looked brave doing all this but in truth, she was shaking so much that she almost peed her pants. This was the riskiest thing she had ever done in her life. 

"President Lu, I'm sorry that I had to do this." 

"Speak." 

She clenched her palms into fists to calm down the extreme fear she was feeling. "I can tell you something very important about by brother." 

Lu Aotian's mouth twitched. "What makes you think I'm interested?" 

Yun Xuan swallowed hard. She had expected this. She racked her brains for a while. Was there something wrong with her? What made her think Lu Aotian would need her help? 

She threw her pride aside. "President Lu, I need your help. I found out something about my brother that I shouldn't have and I feel my life is in danger." 

Lu Aotian scoffed. For the first time, he spoke many words to her at once. "Your man can't take care of you? Do you know that disguising as another woman and seeking her man is pathetic?" 

Yun Xuan felt ashamed of herself. It's not that she didn't trust Tyler, but with matters regarding her brother, she truly didn't trust him. She would rather seek her father's sworn enemy instead. "I'm sorry I..." she sighed. "If he knew of Old Two's crimes, what if he had my brother arrested?" 

Lu Aotian did not have the right word to call this situation. She thought Tyler would have her brother arrested but didn't think he would do the same or even worse, kill him? 

Yun Xuan grew restless when he did not talk for a while. She felt incredibly silly. She knew how stupid she was. She truly only wanted to be safe. Was it so hard? "You don't know his fake name, do you?" 

Lu Aotian raised his head and swung his chair. "Thirty, see miss Yun out." 

The part of the floor from earlier rolled open and the robot that had reported of Yun Xuan's intrusion marched out. 

"The next time she sneaks into Lu Enterprises or any of its subsidiaries, beat her up." he added. 

"Why do you hate me so much?" Yun Xuan suddenly spoke. "If anything, you have me to thank for..." 

"Thirty, hurry up." 

"Yes master." the robot lifted Yun Xuan quite embarassingly and walked out in its metallic steps.
