Chapter 183 - You would be shocked to death

Lu Aotian glanced at her. "I couldn't casually go to your home, so I came here. I hope you don't mind, mother-in-law?" he deliberately emphasized "mother-in-law" to let her know he had found out her identity.

Xia Rou froze. She wanted to run away but for some reason, this man's gaze made her legs unwilling to obey her.

Lu Aotian looked at the frightened doctor. "Thanks for your help Doctor Qiao, my mother-in-law and I have some family matters to discuss in private, so we will not overstay our welcome."

Xia Rou wanted to protest, but she knew better than to do so. Although she did not know how he found out, this was her daughter's man. It was better to get on his good side as he may put in a few good words for her than make him her enemy.

They did not go very far away, they went to a café near the hospital and got a private room.

Lu Aotian did not order anything and just sat casually like he would in his own home.

"How did you find out?" that was Xia Rou's first question.

Lu Aotian placed his arm on the armrest leisurely. "You were very careful and faked all the information about you, but you forgot something very important. You had a DNA test done in the hospital owned by Lu Enterprises."

Lu Aotian continued. "You didn't expect that, right? You could have gone to your best friend's hospital but oh what a shame."

Lu Aotian smirked like he had a plan. "No one knows what his first identity is. Probably not even his family, but you definitely do." He was confident that she did. If he could know that sneaky man's first identity, he would investigate even his ancestors.

Xia Rou was once again stunned. Could this young man see through people? It was very unfortunate, however, that she could not disclose that. "I swore on my father's life."

Lu Aotian did not push it. Before she left, he said something comforting. "She misses you a lot. She may throw a tantrum a little when she finds out but she will definitely not hate you."
