Chapter 134 - Who did this?

Name:My Beautiful Love Author:Avalorian_
The sudden sound made Wan Jia scream.

She was just about to turn when Lu Aotian blocked her sight using his hand. "Don't look." he said.

"What in the world!" Exclaimed Lu Shaoting whose eyes were wide open.

"I'll call the police." Lu Aotian said as he took out his phone using his free hand. He looked like he was not entirely surprised.

Wan Jia tried to pull Lu Aotian's hand away. "What happened? Let me see." However, the man's hand did not move no matter how hard she pulled it.

That scene was too scary.

Her heart was beating fast. Was that an explosion she just heard? "Aotian, let me see. I won't be scared." she knew the scene had to be bloody for Lu Aotian to stop her.

"You'll be scared." he said.

"I won't. Trust me." She insisted.

"Bro, she'll see it in the news." this was such a big incident, it would not be swept under the matt.

"It's scarier than you think." Lu Aotian said to her. Then he removed his hand from her face slowly.

One look and Wan Jia's jaw dropped. She covered her mouth with her hands as she broke down in tears.

Was that her family home? The house had collapsed and...some things seemed to have been thrown out by the force. Among them was...a servant's body. She just looked for a few seconds and did not dare to keep looking. What if she saw...her family.

They were not her real family, those were not her parents, they hated her...but how could such a thing happen to them? She did not wish for this. Who did this?

Just now...just now they had agreed that she would help them look for their child.

She hoped they were still alive. Even if it's just one of them. but from the way the walls caved in, what were the chances of survival?

She did not even stop to think that if she was just a minute late, she would have suffered the same fate.

"Let's go home." Lu Aotian urged. "The police are on their way and..."

She passed out.

"Wanwan!"

"Sister-in-law!"

...

Wan Jia woke up in a daze. The morning rays of sunlight hurt her eyes.

"Where am I?" she groaned and tried to get up.

"Don't move. You're in hospital." Lu Aotian said. She had fainted since the day before.

Wan Jia stayed in a daze for a while as Lu Aotian fed her and had the doctor check on her, then he proceeded to complete her discharge procedure.

"What happened to them?" she asked when she saw him come back.

He knew she was talking about the He family.

"Wanwan..." he sighed. How would he explain it?

"Are they all...?"

He nodded. They had all passed on. There could have been one survivor, Mrs. He. She had been thrown out by the force of explosion and was in coma when she was taken to hospital. However, someone intentionally disconnected the ventilator. This was too much for anyone to take in. What would happen to Wan Jia if she knew? It was better for her to only know that they had all passed away.

Wan Jia sighed. Who held such a deep grudge against that family? Who had they offended?

"Does General Yun have a hand in this?" she asked.

"He doesn't. His son does."

"Yun Jifeng?" that was the only person she had heard mention the He family recently.

"Yes. Shaoting saw his man plant the bomb." he answered.

"Then why didn't Shaoting tell me? I could have warned them." she cried.

Lu Aotian sighed. "I tried to warn you. You weren't answering your phone and when I wanted to come in it was too late."

Wan Jia could not blame him. It was not his fault.

At the time when her phone kept ringing, she had been too careless. She should have disregarded the danger and answered it. Maybe then they would have left with her.

"It's my fault. It's all my fault." she sobbed.

Lu Aotian held her in his arms and rubbed her back. "My love, don't blame yourself. You're a victim too. For Yun Jifeng to lure you into that home then set up an explosive on the same day, he must have wanted to kill you."

"What do the Yuns have against me? What did I do to them? Did we cross paths in our past lives?" she lamented in tears.

First it was the father and now the son. In fact the father had not stopped having bad intentions against her. In fact, she was sure that he was definitely planning something.

"Those two are maniacs with no specific motive." he said.

After a long while of searching, he found that the only rivalry the Lu family and General Yun could possibly have was for power.

He had long made his intention obvious- he wanted to take over Lu Enterprise.

However, what was up with his grudge against Wan Jia? Was it because she refused to help him with his plans in the past?

...

The He family was quite small and the number of distant relatives from both Mr. He and Mrs. He's sides could be counted using fingers.

Wan Jia organized for their funeral service with the help of Lu Aotian. It was hard to believe that a whole family was gone just like that. Including the servants who were in the house at the time of the explosion, those were many lives.
