Chapter 79 - Do I know you?

Name:My Beautiful Love Author:Avalorian_
"Wake her up." The man ordered the bulky man.

"Yes boss." The bulky man brought a bucket of ice cold water and poured it on Yun Xuan.

"Ah!"

"Heh," the so called boss laughed sinisterly. "You could have chosen the path to heaven, yet you decided to barge into hell."

That voice sounded so creepy that Yun Xuan almost fainted again.

"He Wan Jia, or is it Wan Jia...did you really think that by acting cute and humble, I would let you off?"

Yun Xuan froze, not daring to raise her head.

"Wan Jia, I didn't 'invite' you here to have a sick discussion. Not even your stupid lover Lu Aotian can save you. Today you must die here."

Having heard all that, Yun Xuan couldn't take it anymore.

With her eyes closed, she lifted her head and took off the dark wig slowly...then she opened her eyes cautiously.

The man felt his soul leave his body. "You...Xuanxuan?"

What on earth was Yun Xuan doing here? Was it not Wan Jia they had kidnapped?

Yun Xuan pulled the pins off her blonde hair, letting it fall on her shoulders freely. She looked at the man before her in disbelief. "Dad?"

General Yun felt desperate. How careless had he been? He had been so blinded with bloodlust that he had not even taken a good look at the girl.

"You... Xuanxuan, what are you doing here?"

"You want to kill Wanwan?" she asked as tears lingered on her long eyelashes.

General Yun remained silent. Had he been careful and checked who he was speaking to, he would still worm his way out and pretend to have come to rescue her. But now that she had clearly heard his intention, how could he explain himself?

"Dad, why?" she cried.

"All of you, disappear." He shooed away the gang. "And punish yourselves for your mistake." The man scurried away in fear.

"She betrayed us." He threw a random excuse.

"Wanwan would never do such a thing! She's my friend. Even if she knew anything she shouldn't and could use it against our family, she wouldn't because she's my friend!" Yun Xuan instantly expressed her trust towards her friend.

General Yun made himself sound helpless and desperate. "Xuanxuan, why do you trust her so much? You don't know that girl properly. What if she really did?"

"I know she wouldn't. She wouldn't gain anything from it anyway. But you would harm her for nothing. You created this whole blind date trap just to kidnap her, had your men ask 'her' questions she obviously cannot answer and planned to kill her?" she asked.

"Sigh, my daughter, don't misunderstand daddy. I just wanted to make sure she really knows nothing."

"I see, then what about 'You must die here today'?"

The man held her hand delicately. "It was just a threat to know if she really was telling the truth." He lied. "Come on, let's go home quickly or you'll catch a cold."

Yun Xuan pushed his hand away. "Dad, do I really know you?"

"No, you don't." Came a voice from the door. They both looked towards the entrance. The man had entered sneakily and stood there without them noticing him. General Yun had his back facing the door and blocking Yun Xuan's vision at the same time.

"Ah!" Yun Xuan felt creeped out like she had just seen a ghost. Does this man not make sounds while walking and opening doors?

"Lu Aotian." General Yun smirked.

"Long time no see, Mr. Yun. I missed you too" He was just as arrogant as ever.

The last time they had encountered each other was the year he and Wan Jia had divorced. He had sent his henchmen to kill Lu Aotian but not only did the man beat up all those henchmen into pulp, even the most skilled assassin had sustained severe injuries and hadn't ever recovered even three years later. He wondered why such a man even had bodyguards, and so many of them at that.

Actually, General Yun only bluffed to give himself some face. He wouldn't dare provoke Lu Aotian directly. That was why he had decided to face all the later consequences and attack his woman. The worst that could happen was Lu Aotian killing him but he would have already taken away his most precious possession, so he would still die with no regrets.

"I see you intend to join our family discussion. Could it be that you have given up on that vixen and want to marry my daughter instead?" he said and turned his back to Lu Aotian.

"You think too much" he sneered.

He had rushed over to save Yun Xuan simply because she was his wife's friend. Who would have thought that he would bump into a family drama of a father kidnapping his own daughter? However, this was General Yun. That was not something he wouldn't do.

"To have a father like you, Miss Yun Xuan sure is pitiful." He said, crosssing his arms on his chest.

"Useless punk!" He turned around sharply. "Don't you dare drive a..... eh? Where did he go?" the man had disappeared just as mysteriously as he had appeared.

This time, Yun Xuan had seen him dash out and she could swear that that was the swiftest man she had ever seen. Her jaw was currently almost touching the floor. Was he even human?

"D-dad, let's....let's go home." Yun Xuan's body was shaking vigorously. She had even forgotten all about the billions of questions she wanted to ask her father.

"D-dad..." she felt her body go limp.
