The forger king's demeanour was rumoured to be calm and easy going. He was a simple minded dwarf who was a brute warrior and a beloved hero of his people.

Such an individual felt like a mismatch for the nuanced trial that Max wanted his to be and hence Asiva decided to go with the god of death as her final pick.

Hades was smart, he was one of the two monarchs who had lived through the chaos era and was still alive and he seemed to be a god who would not be swayed by Regus's pressure.

It was a woman's instinct more than a purely logical decision, yet Asiva was happy with her choice.

Placing Hades at 5, Micheal at 6 and forger king at 7, Asiva completed her role as Neatwit continued to fill it with Beniogre at 8 and the Beast King at 9.

Under duress Regus's brain worked at full capacity, as a day before the sweeping reforms to the universe were applied he decided to buy dwarven technology that functioned as a simulcast TV projector and bought several hundred of those.

He dispatched envoys to every single vampire planet with dozens of said projectors and asked them to set-up a simulcast of Max's upcoming trial.

This was a big brain move on his part for two big reasons.

1)It helped clear his image as a ruler as when he showed his citizens a fair trial, it would help bolster his image as a righteous king.

2) Regardless of the outcome of the trial, if he could show every single vampire that Max was in fact the primordial vampire of the ancient times, the one prophesied to bring destruction to vampire society, then even if he was ordered by the universal court to let Max go, and lost the trial, he would still win in the court of public opinion who would ostracise Max on every turn.

The road to becoming number 1 clan and challenge Regus officially for the throne would become completely unachievable and if he tried to attack him with the support of external forces then the vampire society would never accept his reign, even if he did become king. n0velUsb.C0m

Regus was convinced that Max was in fact a primordial vampire although he had never asked Max that question in person, since his fall in the river Sanguis made everything crystal clear for Regus.

Hence, for him the best option was to now paint Max as the villain and crush the voices of whatever sympathisers he still has left in the vampire society.

Just like Neatwit, Regus too prepared a list and the order of his list carefully went with the Forger King as his first pick and Hades as his second.

Regus very smartly avoided placing Beniogre and Omar on-top of his list as he knew that those picks were unlikely to bear results as he bet everything on the two neutral picks.

Hopefully for him, the trial would expose Max as a true villain of vampire society and the nightmare saga of his arrest would finally come to an end with him enjoying the final laugh.

3 days after the council of monarchs ended a universal notification was issued by the queen which detailed all the sweeping changes made to the universe.

The prologue of this introduction to changes painted the light faction as noble victors and vilified the dark, just as the new adjusted code of the queen asked her to act.
