Once Max understood that everything was connected. He prepared for a mad experiment where he used his wind manipulation to precisely manipulate all the laws of space, time and gravity at once.

He had already activated the runes of time and gravity for the space he was in, but instead of shattering them, he began to try and figure out the rune of space now, and with his realisation that all three of them were one and the same he was able to activate it within seconds.

If he crushed all three, he would have been able to stabilise this pocket of space perfectly, but he tried to do something else.

He tried to merge the runes forcibly into one another and he did so by pushing them towards one another using wind manipulation.

It was a very challenging task, as the closer the runes came to one another the more and more difficult the process to push them towards each other became.

Despite the difficulty, Max persevered putting his entire backbone behind the process, yet the second the three runes touched one another, a massive explosion rocked the space he was in as Max was blasted by pure beam of divine essence that his body was not equipped to handle.

His old body went into shock and started to have a seizure as Max's consciousness started to fade away fast.

In the background he could hear panic filled screams from Drax, but it was useless as the dark spots in his vision kept expanding until there was nothing but absolute darkness.

**********

' I guess this is it then, I'm one of the twenty destined to die in this place…. ' Max thought as he found himself standing alone within the darkness of his own mind.

The experiment he was trying to do was too rash and he had never expected to face such consequences, but it seemed like he was going to die while trying to figure out the mysteries of the universe.

? ? ? ? ? ?

' LET ME GO! '

' LET ME GO! '

' LET ME GO! '

He heard ravings within this space of darkness shouting to let it go and Max was surprised to listen to such a demand.

He turned and walked towards the source of that sound and saw a fickle green flame that looked almost ethereal banging against a glass like container as it screamed that Max should let it go.

When Max looked straight into the green flame, he saw reflections of his life.

Not just this one, but also his past life as a wastrel as he realised that this fickle flame was his own soul.

' LET ME GO! '

The flame said once again, as Max ignored its ramblings and admired it's beauty. I think you should take a look at

His soul looked like a pretty green flame and seeing it in this form Max was sure that he had absolutely lost his mind and was hallucinating on a very deep level.

Yet, beside his beautiful soul, outside of the glass like container it was in, Max saw some purple filth covering it as the very sight of the filth irritated Max.

Reflexively, Max tried to burn the filth and reduce it to ashes, but somehow his Agni-Astra powers were not working in this space as he couldn't activate his flame powers at will.

What Max did not understand was that this was the imprint that Angakok had left on his soul, but it did not matter as he was hell-bent on cleaning it first.

Manually removing it from over his soul container Max scattered it all across the space he was in but far away from his actual soul as only after doing that process did he point at his unstable soul and shouted " Shut-up you selfish bastard, I'll die if I let you go "

Max's soul stopped struggling when it heard Max's words as it's flames became brighter and bigger, it inched closer to Max and showed him a picture of all the individuals Max had killed so far.

Black spots began to form within the crystal clear soul for every death, and since Max had killed hundreds of thousands in his entire life, there was a significant portion that turned black by the time it was done showing Max the picture.

' TOO FILTHY, NEED TO REINCARNATE AND PURIFY '

The soul seemed to convey to Max that he had gained a lot of bad Karma in his two lives and needed to be sent to the cycle of reincarnation to cleanse it all.

" I'm not a racist, black flame, green flame it's all beautiful for me, heck I don't care if you were fully black. You're still not leaving my body " Max replied as he told the soul that it wasn't allowed to go anywhere.

' If become god, soul-body connection permanent, you die, I die ' the soul said in broken English as it explained that if Max became tier 6 then their bond would become permanent and that then it would not be able to reincarnate anymore.

" Don't die then, don't give up on me before I become vampire king.

I've killed so many so you're turning black, but I'll save and make the lives of even more people better so you turn green again " Max promised as his soul began thrumming violently.

In every soul there was inherent knowledge about divine essence.

The very differentiating factor between mortals and immortals was the ability of god's to be able to wield divine essence and that only happened when a soul became permanently bound to a body.

After strong insistence from Max to not enter the cycle of reincarnation, he commanded his soul to bind to his body permanently with the promise of washing his bad karma away with good deeds in the future, as his soul began expanding in size at a rapid rate and filling the container it was in to capacity.

The last thing that Max saw in that space was a blinding flash of green light as after that he opened his eyes back in the chaos realm with a nasty gasp of air.

His soul had began rooting itself to this body and hence his transformation from a mortal to immortal had been triggered.

His body was now undergoing unprecedented changes at a cellular level, rewiring itself from being able to conduit mana to become a conduit for divine essence.
