Chapter 615 Clash Of Monarchs

As the battlefield seethed with destruction, a new chord struck amidst the chaos. The colossal figures of Sovereign Kane and the Shaman God Memphidos dominated the warfront, their presence a beacon for their advancing forces.

Without preamble, Kane detached a spear from his saddle, his movements swift and precise. A single throw from his mighty arm sent the spear soaring skyward.

The spear was a blur, piercing the sky with a power that sent shockwaves rippling across the battlefield. It found its mark on an Iron Hornet, the resulting explosion a burst of light that consumed several drones nearby.

Concurrently, Memphidos began to weave intricate patterns in the air, his fingers tracing an elaborate dance that belied the chaos around him. The earth shuddered, convulsing with an energy that surged from its depths. This surge was precise, targeted, as the earth opened and swallowed the Iron Hornets that were preparing to take flight.

Their combined assault delivered a significant blow to the dwarves' aerial forces. But they did not stop there. Memphidos called upon the forces of the sky next, conjuring a whirlwind that ripped through the fleet of dwarf fighter jets, scattering them like leaves in a storm. The thunderous sound of tearing metal filled the air as the aerial force of the dwarves diminished significantly.

The two tier8 warriors went on a rampage, destroying one dwarven machine after another as the frontlines kept pushing forward.

Once they crossed the 100 metres mark, many of the dwarven long ranged attack machines became useless as while they kept shooting at the backlines the ones that had already crossed the 100 metre mark were outside its sphere of influence and could charge towards the mountain without interruptions.

The mountain stronghold of the dwarves was a labyrinth of narrow, winding tunnels with thousand of dwarves guarding each passage and nifty traps at every turn.

The tunnels were a filter that forced anyone above a height of 4.5 feet to bend down and fight at an awkward posture whereas it outright prevented some of the larger beasts like giants and trolls to enter.

Once Kane's forces entered the tunnels, the dwarves launched their assault, attacking from hidden passages, their movements seamless with the shadows.

The wide battlefield had transformed into a maze of passageways, every corner potentially fatal.

As the internal skirmishes intensified, the shaman god Memphidos prepared a spell to internally destroy the entire mountain that the dwarves were hiding in, but the forger king who knew he could not let such an outcome ever happen jumped into the open battlefield to confront his enemy.

The Forger King, armed with his legendary hammer, looked straight into Kane's eyes as he said "You dare bring war to my doorstep? You shall pay the price! "

The battlefield around these legendary figures fell into an unnatural silence as everyone awaited the first clash.

With a bellow that echoed across the battlefield, the Forger King swung his hammer with a force that made the very air around it tremble. Responding to this formidable assault, Kane heaved his spear, his face as expressionless as ever as he did not falter at the sight of the forger king's strength.

The hammer, a symbol of raw power and the spear, an epitome of lethal precision, met in a collision that sent shockwaves tearing through the surroundings.

The impact was cataclysmic. A visible wave of energy rippled outwards from the point of contact, lifting dust, pebbles, and even large rocks into the air. Soldiers on both sides were forced to a halt, shielding their faces from the onslaught of debris.

Even the ground seemed to hold its breath, the earth quaking under the force of the clash. This was a battle of monarchs, and their every move resonated with the awe-inspiring power they commanded.

The showdown continued, a blinding flurry of devastating blows and deft parries.

Unless one was a god they could not even see the silhouette's of the two monarchs attacking one another as even their shadows were invisible to the naked eye.

The Forger King initiated a sequence of attacks, each swing of his hammer creating a gust of wind so fierce that it uprooted anything in its path as he created separation between himself and Kane to unleash his first big move.

[Mountain Crasher]

His signature move which saw him leap high into the sky and crash down with the shockwave pulverising anything in the vicinity was used as Memphidos and the four giants carrying him were all blown away by the attack, yet Kane who had dismounted from his mount a while back stood against the shockwave unfazed as he pierced his spear into the ground below to create a pole of support.

Once the initial shockwave was over, He weaved through the storm of debris, and initiated his counter-attacks, piercing the wind like a hot knife through butter.

[River Slicer]

A swift, three-strike combo move was executed flawlessly by Kane as he targeted the forger king's heart, neck and lung in a three step attack.

Each thrust was aimed to exploit a potential weakness, and though the Forger King deflected each attempt, the relentless assault forced him back, step by step.

Meanwhile, Memphidos, wove an intricate tapestry of spells as he joined the battle with a BANG!

[Tempest Conjurer]

Memphidos summoned a storm of magical energy that targeted the Forger King. Bolts of energy, akin to lightning, lanced down from the sky, each aiming for the Dwarf King who skillfully deflected them with his hammer.

As the clash of the tier8 monarchs raged on, a subtle shift in the dynamics became apparent.

With each passing moment, the Forger King was subtly being steered away from the dwarven fortress. This was no mere contest of strength. It was a tactical manoeuvre, masterfully executed by Kane and Memphidos. Unbeknownst to the Forger King, each attack and counter-attack was a subtle manipulation, drawing him further from his stronghold.

The duo understood that defeating the forger king would be a long drawn conflict which would pile losses on their armies, which was exactly why their endgame was something entirely different.
