Chapter 598 Angakok Showing Levels

( Angakok's POV )

Angakok cared little about the petty lives of the god in front of him. The first thing he cared about was checking the progress of his upcoming vessel and it was easy for him to establish Max's progress once he felt the power coursing through the body of the clone.

Apparently his chosen one had activated the [ Rise Of The Horde ] spell but had fainted before calling upon the horde to actually join him for battle.

The three buffoons in front of him seemed to be wanting to kill Max while he was out cold which was something Angakok could not let happen, but if he killed them instead of Max then his vessel would lose out on valuable EXP which he did not want as well.

What he needed to do was to play a balancing act where he weakened the three god's in front of himself to pathetically low levels so that once Max regained consciousness, he could come back and kill all 3 to sit atop a tonne of EXP.

Sorting his plan out, the first thing that Angakok did was give rise to the horde as he wished to create a sense of urgency for the opponent god's to feel like they needed to intervene if they wanted to stop their legions from getting butchered.

Returning the trapped souls of the dead back to their bodies, Angakok gave rise to close to 100,000 Eagle Mercenary troops, a few hundred Bloodfall soldiers and about 30,000 Greengale Phantoms.

The earth rumbled and the morning sky changed from a beautiful blue to an ominous purple in colour as thousands of dead returned to life to give rise to the horde.

Pointing where the phantoms were fighting against Sebastian's undead Angakok said " Destroy them all "

Immediately a new wave of dead rushed towards the Greengale Phantoms from new fronts as the hunting legion which had just gained it's footing not long ago in pushing the undead back were suddenly faced with a fresh tranch of troops.

Gurdan and the others upon witnessing this move winced a little, they had not expected Shakuni's brother to dabble in such dark moves, but they had to admit that it was an effective move.

Under the combined effort of the ground troops and the air, the phantoms would be wiped within 20-30 minutes if no-one intervened piling heavy losses for the Mercenary end.

" Are you gonna come at me? Or are you little ones too chicken to fight? " Angakok asked as he pointed towards the three gods who maintained a weary distance from his location and did not take the initiative to attack first although they outnumbered him three to one.

" I'll show you! " Vas said as he moved his giant body with unbelievable agility for someone with his frame size.

Everywhere he stepped the ground would freeze under his feet as he swung a giant club made of ice towards where Angakok stood, hoping to blast him backwards with the attack.

Angakok stopped the full force of the club with his little finger, as he stopped Ymir's attack as if it were nothing.

" Weak - " Angakok commented as he somehow forcefully set Ymir's club and his entire body on fire.

Ymir stumbled backwards, he had never seen an attack like this, he feared the flames on his body would be of the eternal kind as well, but thankfully they were extinguished quite easily.

Donatella who wished to take advantage of the battle between Angakok and Vas tried to approach Angakok from his blindside.

A short sword laced with extreme poison I'm hand, he was hoping to get a cowardly blow in from Angakok's back, but the moment he was about to slash Angakok on his back, he felt like his body was suspended in place by thousands of rope-like structures.

[ Blood Tendrils ]

Angakok trapped the God in a web of blood Tendrils as he casually turned around with a sinister smile on his face and pressed his index finger against Donatella's nose.

[ Blood Orfice Torture ]

The moment Angakok touched Donatella's skin, Donatella began bleeding blood instead of sweat from every skin pore of his body in what could only be described as a sadistic and horrific method of torture.

The vampire god howled in pain as he felt like every single cell of his body was in intense pain from the nasty spell that Angakok had cast on him.

Never in a million years did he expect to face a tier6 opponent capable of such absurd wizardry as nobody had told him that the mission to take down twilight and Bloodfall clans would be so difficult and painful.

It was supposed to be a one sided route, but against this monster Max Rajput, Donatella questioned whether or not it would be the end of his life.

Gurdan who understood that whatever Max did to sacrifice his 50% HP bar had given him power beyond the realm of common sense and that it was suicidal to face him in his purple eyed form.

He was willing to wait until this purple eye form was gone to engage with him in battle as for the moment he felt like the wisest step was to retreat.

Yes, him retreating would mean that the Greengale Phantoms would probably die a horrible death, but so what?

He still had close to 300,000 men of crimson shadows and Frostwolf marauders alive while Natasha had a bunch of nereids on her end.

They still had more than enough men to get the job done which was why him fighting this battle was not worth it.

Hence, Coldly leaving Vas and Donatella to face this beast Max Rajput alone, Gurdan began retreating to fight another time.

" Thought you can run? Well not so fast " Angakok said as he stood over Thalions burnt corpse and chanted something in ancient dark elven after which Thalion arose once more as a vengeful undead.

" Go kill him " Angakok commanded as Thalion who had died moments ago resenting Gurdan got a second chance in fulfilling his revenge.
