Chapter 418 Dracula’s Castle 10

While the players engaged with the monsters were busy saving their own lives, an evil player at the side was determined to kill them off.

"We can do it!" a group of players with their ATP in the eighties roared in delight after defeating half of the Bone Golems.

This group also managed to reduce the Charnel Hound's HP garnering cheers in their direction.

The other players were also glad about the outcome and cheered for this group to defeat the monsters in the area, saving them in the process.

Applauded by the others and feeling their dependency on them, the group's morale increased. It boost their strength and will to kill another Bone Golem.

The players all rejoiced for they could live another day, but their happiness was short-lived when suddenly, a white blob creature jumped into the battle and spat a big drop of water, hundred times its size, onto the group with the highest ATP.

Unsuspecting of the new threat for their focus was on the battle ahead, the group was unaware of the slimy saliva on their way until they felt the cold wetness and the notifications flashing on their screen, saying all types of statues effects.

[You suffered POISON!]

[You suffered PARALYSIS!]

[You suffered SLEEP!]

[You suffered FREEZE!]

[You suffered SILENCE!]

[You suffered SLOW!]

Six status effects on just one person? Ren and Evie were shocked. It was more than the [Alchemist Bane] could ditch out.

Honestly, Ren and Evie weren't expecting much from the little blob of white jiggling pop. Even just one status effect was enough for them.

Who knew that it could kill dozens of players with its spit alone?

With that many status effects, a player would die for sure if their White Mage didn't have [Area Cure] or a similar spell.

Too bad, the white mages in the area were still too low-leveled and hadn't evolved their [Cure] spell to its second form.

Caught off guard, the group of players was stunned. Before they could wrap their heads around what happened, the white blob of ooze disappeared, and with it came the Charnel Hound with its jagged, sharp teeth and long, thick tongue that wiped off the slobbering saliva on its mouth.

The group of players didn't have the chance to scream as they were already eaten whole by the Charnel Hound. Some closed their eyes when they heard the crackling of bones.

The Bone Golems also didn't waste a second and wiped off the frozen players. Terror-filled screams bounced along the hall.

Zack, Josh, and Ray were fending off the Bone Golems their way while Kylie squatted behind and clutched her hair, too afraid to do anything.

"Damn it!" growled Zack at Kylie. "Useless woman! Heal us!"

Josh was beginning to be irritated as well. "Kylie, if you're that scared, then you shouldn't have come! We could have replaced you with someone more useful."

Kylie seemed to not hear anyone and shook her head, crying like she had gone crazy.

"Where's Lily?" Ray asked when he finally noticed that they seemed to be incomplete.

At his question, the others looked behind but only found Kylie there.

Lily was gone!

"There she is!" Zack hissed and pointed a finger in Ren's direction.

"That man again?" both Josh and Ray muttered at the same time.

"Lily!" Zack called and was about to go to her but stopped when he heard a low growl on his right.

Without thinking, Zack turned to where the growl came from and saw the gaping mouth of the Charnel Hound. Before Zack could blink, a loud crackling sound made him burst into particles in an instant.

"Zack!"

At this point, Kylie screamed like there was no tomorrow.

How she wished that she could pass out so she wouldn't see the horrors that were happening in front of her.

Faced with the Charnel Hound's intimidating build and hideous appearance, Josh and Ray could only raise their shaking weapons.

Their mind blanked out, faced with a creature that they knew they were no match against.

In the end, their fear won, and both of the guys ran away.

The feature of logging in to another server to escape this horrible place was nulled until all the monsters in the area were killed.

And even if the feature was accessible again, only the leader could press it. If the leader died, then the member with the highest position would be given that responsibility, and so on.

But at this time, Lily was already beside Ren, blissfully unaware of what was happening to her friends.

On the side, Ren was glad about the outcome. Busy watching as the players got wiped out, he thought that it was Evie's hand he was holding when smooth and very soft fingers slipped into his course palms.

"Ren."

Ren heard Evie's call and quickly shifted his attention upon hearing the edginess in her voice.

"Yeah?" asked Ren with a sweet smile on his face.

He thought he would see Evie but was surprised to see Lily's Russian doll-like face stumbling on his view.

For a whole five seconds, Ren was processing what he was seeing, and how come Lily was beside him?

"Ren," Evie called again, voice like a whisper but carrying a weight that made Ren's fine hairs stood on end.

"What are you doing?"

Ren blinked. What am I doing? He thought, baffled.

And it was only then he noticed — he was holding Lily's hand!

Ren gasped, and his eyes went to Lily's. The girl wore her usual poker face, but there was a hint of a shy smile that tickled her lips. Her cheeks were also turning pink, making the whole situation look worse!

Ren immediately let go of her hand and stuttered, "T-this! I-I . . ."

What was the best explanation for this?

Even though Ren couldn't see Evie's appearance behind her mask, her anger was palpable.

"Who is she?" Evie asked, curiously calm. "It seemed like you really like little girls, huh?"
