Chapter 242 CH 236: KANG HO

[Blue Shark]

Kang Ho [1], the leader of the Blue Shark, was looking impassively at the screen floating in the air and showing him the pictures of his stocks crashing down.

In his office room, Lina, his mistress, and secretary, was busy trying to reach some of his closest collaborators but they were all playing dead.

"Stop. There is no use. Those bastards will stop at nothing to get what they want and now that they are seeing me in this situation, they will just watch me drown until I die and come to take the rest.

Kang Ho's voice was calm. But this calm was belied by the throbbing veins on his arms and forehead.

In the end, he simply released a sigh.

The big day when his greatest wish would finally be realized was approaching and he simply needed to calm down.

Only 24 hours left until Thanksgiving. Even if he lost all his money, it did not matter. He could still make more.

Still, this didn't mean that he appreciated getting attacked out of nowhere. Furthermore, the strike where too precise, which showed that this was the work of and insider.

'Who could it be?'

Kang Ho did not believe in many people and as such, much of the information were shared in a scattered way. Making it so that no one really knew where all his secrets were hidden.

'Did my subordinates prepare a mass rebellion?'

This was impossible. He had many loyal men and a few brainwashed ones from his cults hiding and observing. It was impossible for a mass rebellion to happen without so much warning.

"Did we find who is the aggressive buyer?"

"No. It even took us a while to realize the aggressive attack. They are using representatives and subordinates. Furthermore, there are many buyers who seem to just be normal people caught in the mixte and hoping to get some quick buck."

"Useless thing."

He fought himself to stop himself from screaming in frustration and destroying everything in the room. This was becoming a little too much and he hated how powerless he was currently.

"Do you have any idea who this might be at least?"

The secretary looked at him, not knowing what to say. It was honestly quite hard. She was not dumb but Blue Shark, because of their aggressive ways, had many 'allies'. But as shown a few moments ago, those allies would definitely laugh and clap by seeing the current situation.

Expecting them to bring any sort of help was ridiculous and extremely utopic.

"I believe the one with the highest grudge against you is the leader of the Wild Hunt."

During the event at the park, The action of Blue Shark caused many small problems for Wild Hunt, which resulted in them losing a few members and some others receiving relatively small wounds.

Kang Ho thought about it for a while before dismissing it. "You can get a few guys to look at it. But I doubt very much. The girl is too holier than thou. She will not destroy her carefully built reputation over the years by using such a way."

Kang Ho knew how those old-school criminals worked. They put shame, face, and honor above everything else. Acting as if they were chivalrous bandits or something of the like.

Yui was much the same in his opinion. She lacked the ruthlessness necessary to make it far in this line of work and relied on the few guys she had managed to get under her control.

She was nothing more than a fox using the skin of a tiger to appear bigger than she looked.

Unlike him who started from scratch, she had already handed it to her from the beginning.

They were not the same and had very different starting points.

"Is it perhaps one of the big gangs?"

"Neither. if before I was just speculating, I am 100% sure about this one."

He might despise them, but he was the first to recognize how powerful those families were and what they could do and they did not need to move like this for them. Like Yui, those arrogant families were strong and as such would not change the way they usually operated just for a small fry like him.

It was then,

"Boss!"

He looked at his secretary who was suddenly screaming and asking with confusion.

"Some of our special smuggling dens had been found."

Kang Ho paled immediately.

He did not mind losing his company as money was nothing. But the resources in his special warehouses were too rare and precious.

"Shit."

He swore that once whoever was pulling this attack was found, he would make sure to make them regret being born.

[1]: There are 47 Hanja reading Ho. The most popular means tiger, abundant, or heroic.

(AN: So, yeah it seems like I failed. I currently have 8.4K+ unlock and I need 1500 more. I have 250 priv. So I would need to write 6 chapters in 24h again and absolutely all Priv readers to unlock everything directly. The problem is we are reaching the climax of the volume and my brain is going mushy. I feel like the story quality dropped a bit since I pushed so many chapters so fast yesterday. I don't know, perhaps just stress.

Anyways guys, rant aside, you guys have been incredible. The failure is entirely on me since If I pushed a few more chapters earlier, I am sure we could have reached 10K. Not only did I go from around 190 Priv readers last month to 250 this month, but I also got 53 gifts out of which 3 were castles. Having your readers support your work always feels good. Even though failing so close to the goal is painful. Thanks for the support everyone

As such, I decided to keep the 99% off next month even though I didn't meet the goal. I don't know how many of you guys will come back as Priv Readers though I hope all of you will come back next month haha. I will try one last push today. Will most likely fail but at least I believe next month I can succeed if I plan ahead better.)
