CH 42.1

Name:Married To A Savage Duke Author:
Cade paused and looked back at him.

“Where is Lady Cherryl?”

“She’s on the third floor. She visited this morning and I guided her——-”

While Albert was about to say something more, Cade strode in a hurry and opened the library door.

As Hawk shook his head with excitement while Albert looked pleased, both of them watched Cade’s back as it rapidly moved through the heavy door creaking shut.

The book that Cherryl took was covered with old dust as if it hadn’t been touched for a long time.

After dusting the covers off, she hugged the book in her bosom and went to a nearby desk to settle down.

Cherryl flipped the cover carefully and began to read the table of contents.

What to do…and what should she read about?

In the middle of the table of contents, she found a tempting word that she wanted to check out.

As she turned a couple of pages,  she wondered why these books were classified as medical.

When she saw the book’s arousing title, her curiosity spread as paint spilled on the blank canvas.

It also contained a topic related to her worries that constantly nagged her mind these days.

Cherryl pointed at the page number she had just checked from the table of contents.

Upon reaching the page she wanted, she soon found an illustration that made her cover her mouth.

The picture was too bold.

She knew a bit of theory but had no actual experience, so she found the image promiscuous.

No.

She wasn’t immune to sensational descriptions at all.

Cherryl didn’t want to see this.

Were there any body parts described in detailed words rather than images?

Bewildered, Cherryl flipped more pages and moved from one chapter to the next.

Even though she kept turning it over, the various images seemed infinite and it confused her.

Was it because of that?

Someone seemed to be climbing the stairs but she didn’t even notice the footsteps and the long silhouette.

“Lady Cherryl.”

As soon as she heard the familiar deep baritone, Cherryl raised her head in surprise.

It was so sudden but she immediately found out who the man was when he came into view.

“Huh? Your Grace?”

Cherryl’s lips parted slightly in shock.

He encountered the man a few days ago and she wondered if it would be proper to call this a reunion.

Nevertheless, Cherryl flashed him a pleasant smile.

Cade also gave her a tight-lipped grin and walked closer to the desk.

Suddenly, Cherryl, who became conscious of the book she was currently checking out, dropped her smile.

Her eyes were fixed on the approaching man, but her entire being concentrated on the book on the desk.

If she got caught then it would all be over.

It wouldn’t be strange to misunderstand this as pornographic and not something medical due to the dozens of illustrations.

If caught, she could just explain that she was only trying to research sexual intercourse so that she could have some theoretical knowledge, at least.

Her explanation already sound suspicious enough that she wondered if he would take that as a lie.

It was impossible to tell him in the first place that Cherryl was simply trying to study a man’s and a woman’s body parts.

The mistake she made in front of Cade would just be part of a strange history that was nothing more than a nosebleed.

It wasn’t enough to kick the blanket or turn it over a few times.

Therefore, she had to defend this book’s secret no matter what.

“As natural as possible.”

Cherryl slowly closed the open book without avoiding Cade’s gaze.

She also didn’t forget to turn the cover upside down so that the title couldn’t be seen.

After figuring out what mysterious thing she was trying to hide, Cade’s drowsy golden eyes widened a little when he finally understood the meaning behind Cherryl’s behavior.

Cdeliberately faked a bright voice and started to rush.

“What are you doing here, Your Grace?”

Cherryl deliberately faked a bright voice and started to rush.

“I stopped by the watchtower to discuss business and heard that you were in the library. You seemed to be looking around diligently as soon as you entered. What do you think? Is it worth it?”

“Ah!” Cherryl exclaimed, slightly lowering her eyelashes.

Fortunately, Cade would have no idea about the book’s content as long as it was upside down.

She made eye contact with Cade again and replied.“Thanks for taking care of me. I’m living without any lack. Still, I think I need to spend a few more days to adjust until I’m in my true  element.”

“It’s not the first time, is it? You will get used to it in no time.”

Cade made her recall the moment when she had spent the night with him and had exited his bedroom as if kicked out by the morning breeze.

When the bulging outline of his manhood she had witnessed before being kicked out came to mind, Cherryl’s heart pounded like a drum.

He was the one who put Cherryl in this place with this book.

“I couldn’t come and see you because I had an urgent business to attend to the next day, Lady Cherryl. I told the kids to help you without making any trouble, but did they listen well?”

If it was an urgent matter, was it related to the border control that Axel mentioned a while ago?

Everyone must have been told not to talk about it and if she asked Cade for no reason, she might put Axel in trouble.

Cherryl fought the urge to discuss it with Cade.

Instead, she smiled as she recalled the three teenagers who were playing with the furniture while roaming around the corridors.
