Chapter 320 Losing Control

Name:Loving Madeline Author:sirenbeauty
Jack's POV

"Kiss her, kiss her," those were the words that kept repeating in my mind as I had my conversation with Hunter's sister, and I hated that I couldn't stop myself from staring at her beautiful face and her full red lips were so inviting that I lost control.

I used to be strong, and I could control myself no matter how intense my emotions were; something like this only happened once, and it was with Madeline. We were at the beach enjoying ourselves with my friends, and even if I knew she had Hunter in her life, I still kissed her.

And now, I was aware I needed to be patient to gain Charlotte's trust, but I failed because I couldn't control myself. I don't know how I will tell Hunter that I was the one who was beginning to fall for Charlotte and not the other way around.

Kissing Charlotte was one of the best things I have ever done out of impulse, and I don't have any regrets, but the horrified look I saw on her face after I kissed her made me feel a little sad, but it didn't stop me from smiling like an idiot.

Charlotte Divenson kissed me back with the same fervor, and I could tell even if she told me it didn't mean anything to her. I can tell she liked it too, and I am sure she would kiss me again if I took her mouth again.

She had been long gone, but I was left tightly gripping the railings as my breathing slowed down. I had never felt this way about anyone for a long time, not even with Gina.

I hate to say that I had used my ex to forget Madeline, and now, I knew I couldn't stop the attraction I felt for Charlotte even if she was so different, and I knew I should not fall for her.

She was the reason why Madeline suffered, and I came here to Barcelonia because of Madeline and not because of Hunter. I don't want anything to happen with Maddie because of Charlotte.

I was willing to do anything to save her brother's wife, but it felt like we all doubted Charlotte without investigating the truth. It seemed like she was innocent and incapable of hurting anyone, and I became more intrigued to know her.

I didn't want to go back to my room, I wished to stay and watch the stars twinkling like Christmas lights in December, but I got tired from my swimming that I needed to be in bed and have a good night's sleep.

I lazily left the roof deck and went to the master's bedroom. I wished to talk with her and stood in front of her room for a long time, but in the end, I realized I didn't want Charlotte to get angry with me more.

I realized she wasn't happy that she kissed me back, but it was late. I had already tasted her sweet lips. I knew how wonderful it was to devour her sweet mouth, and I couldn't wait to do it again, but I knew it would take a long time before I could kiss her again, but I was willing to stay no matter how long because I wished to know her more.

But I regretted that I went back to my room and lay on the soft bed since I find it so hard to fall asleep, and it took me a long time to finally go to sleep.

I felt glad I set my alarm early morning since I planned to cook her breakfast. I bathed early to look fresh before her, and I didn't expect she would wake up so early.

"What do you think you are doing, Jack? Who gave you permission to cook in my kitchen?" She asked in a stern voice, and I needed to control myself before I lost control and kissed her again to give her a dose of her own medicine.

I knew I was dealing with the bratty sister of Hunter, but after talking to her, I almost believed she was really a nice person. I didn't expect she would show me the ugly side of her early morning.

"You are up already?" I asked with a beautiful smile on my face which made her frown.

"Don't give me that sweet smile of yours, Mr. Morigan; you can never change my mind." She answered, and I could tell she was serious with her words as she was looking daggers at me.

"Look, I am not doing all this because I want to win your heart over, Charlotte. I want to cook you breakfast before I get out of this manor." I responded, and I could see her face soften.

"I want you to have a nice meal made by the most famous chef in Archois," I added, and she laughed.

"You are so full of yourself, Jack, I thought you were a humble person, but I couldn't believe you would be bragging about how famous you were," she replied.

Charlotte's words silenced me as I look back at my life when I was enjoying fame, and I realized it doesn't matter; what is important is the people who really care about you, not the fame.

"I never once bragged who I become; I only wanted to impress you," I replied as I looked at her face, and she blushed right away, and Charlotte looked so adorable as she tried to avoid my gaze.

"No need to impress me, chef; no matter how hot and handsome you are, you can't fool me." She responded, and I grinned.

"Do you think I am hot and handsome?" I asked, still couldn't stop from beaming at her, and I felt so happy that she found me handsome.

"Yeah, but I am immune to handsome guys like you; plus, you are leaving today; no need to impress me." She replied.

"It hurts, but I am happy for the compliments I received from you; my heart is fluttering right now," I responded and winked at her; her face turned redder, and I wished to tease Charlotte more, but she needed to eat.

I was quiet while setting the table as she was standing so close to me.

"You can help me get the table ready if you want; you can get the plates," I said, and she turned around and followed what I ordered her to do, but she stopped and handed me the plates while she grimaced at me.

"I didn't ask you to prepare breakfast for me, and this is all your plan. I have maids, and I couldn't believe you would boss me around." Charlotte declared.

I could see the irritation written all over her face, and I wanted to tell her I knew what was going on with her life already and she should stop complaining, but I was aware she was trying to keep her dignity intact; she was protecting her name.

"Okay, princess, you don't need to help if you don't want to; you don't have to be angry with me. It would be my honor to serve you." I replied with a broad smile while I took the plates from her hands.

I have to convince Charlotte I am a good man, and no matter how hurtful the words she will throw at me, I should never get affected by them.

"You can sit down and watch me set the table, and then you can eat your meal," I added.

She looked me in the eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. I couldn't stop myself from staring at her sensual lips that I wished to devour in an instant and kiss until her lips got swollen.

"I don't want to eat the food you prepare, Jack." She responded, and I chuckled.

"Come on, Charlotte, if you were upset with me because I kissed you last night, I am sorry; I should not have done something like that; you let me stay here for the night, but in return, I only hurt your feelings." I declared, and I wanted to add I don't have any regrets about kissing her, but I wanted my apology to sound sincere and convincing.

"Don't make me laugh, Jack; it wasn't about the kiss; I already told you last night I wasn't affected by it." She replied without looking at my face.

"Then, what is the problem? I thought you would be delighted if I prepared a meal for you. I did this because I wanted to feed you, that is all," I said, and I couldn't hide my frustration as I put the last platter on the table.

"Please, this is my way of saying thank you to you," I added, and she almost smiled at me; but I knew she didn't want me to see she was happy.

"You cooked me dinner last night; it was enough," she responded.

"Well, as a chef, it would make me happy if you would eat the food I prepare for you," I said.

"Okay, but you have to eat with me," she replied, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling as I pulled out a dining chair and assisted Charlotte to sit down, and I could feel the electricity the moment my skin brushed with hers.

"It would be my pleasure to eat with you, princess," I responded with too much enthusiasm.

"Please, stop calling me that, Jack; I am not a princess, for goodness sake," she said as she darted a glance at me before she shifted her attention to the food on the table.

"You may not be a real princess, but you are a princess to me," I replied, and she blushed, but she didn't say another word; I was watching Charlotte with amusement on my face as I realized I would never leave this place because it hit me like a bomb; I want to be with her.
