Chapter 115: Enemies meet on a narrow road

Liyah snickered like a kid as she scooped the ice cream into her mouth while looking at August. They got a corner table with no one on the other side of the table. Liyah purposefully picked that spot because she wanted to be able to tease August without someone hearing their chats.

''So, you actually took the initiative at the beginning but then before you knew it, Aaron had taken over and a simple kiss turned into a passionate one? Wow. I thought you were all talk but, you really amaze me every time, kiddo. So, how was it? Tell me everything in detail. Let me live vivaciously through you'' Liyah leaned in closer towards August Maijune.

''Big sis, how can you be like this with me? I didn't even ask you for all the details when you got together with Leo and you're asking me? Isn't this called cheating?'' August said frustrated making Liyah to glare at her.

''You little wench, you didn't ask me. How was I supposed to tell you? Besides, do you really want to hear me? I can tell you everything we did including the amazing sex we had and still have but you might not want to hear that. Do you?'' Liyah said with a daring smirk and August shook her head.

''You're right. I don't need to know about that stuff. I feel that I might become a crazy pervert after hearing you''. August said before scooping her ice cream with her spoon into her mouth.

''Then, be honest with me. What exactly are you scared of? No matter how hard I think about it, I don't understand why you're confused and scared?'' Liyah asked.

''That's the point. Why am I confused and scared? This is something I've always wanted. Something I've always wanted is finally happening to me, so why am I like this? Is not like Aaron Saint is going to force himself on me. Is not also like I don't want to go further with him. So, why am not convinced but rather confused and scared?'' August said seriously.

''Could it be because is your first time?'' Liyah asked.

''My first time? I don't remember. I don't know if I have done that with any man or not. Big sis, I think is because I'm still confused about who I am. I need to know who I am. Big sis, I have decided. I will go and see a doctor of psychological therapy and let him examine me''. August said.

''You…you want to visit a doctor and let him examine you?'' Liyah asked sceptically.

''Yes, you know we have something called hypnosis in psychology, right? I want to try that. I read about it from the internet and I found out that it can help to bring back people's buried memories, that was what June used to bring me back and the reason why I was able to remember most of the things that she did when she was around. I really want to find out who I am''. August said as she ate her ice cream. Liyah stared at her with an uncertain emotion and worry.

''Do you really need to remember about the past? Isn't the present also good?'' Liyah said studying August's expression.

''The present is good, but, I feel empty without knowing the sort of person I was in the past. You remember the man we met at the hospital back? What he said keeps nagging at me. He rubbed me off the wrong way and I still think about what he said that day. For now, the only thing I remember is the fact that I have DID and dangerous personalities living in me. I also remember visiting the Mind Health Clinic with Aaron Saint but apart from that, I don't remember anything else. Big sis, you've met my other personalities. How are they like? More importantly, can you tell me into detail what they did when I wasn't around? You know, such thoughts keep crossing my mind sometimes, that maybe I did try to kill myself''. August said and looked at Liyah's ice cream ''big sis, why are you not eating? Your ice cream is all melted now''.

Liyah looked at her ice cream cup and saw that it was melted. She had been absentminded just now because of what August said.

''Should I get you another?" August said standing up and Liyah held her hand saying ''there is no need for that. Are you done with yours? Let's go home''. Liyah said standing up.

August looked at Liyah and felt that she was suddenly acting strange but brushed it off and also picked her bag. Liyah smiled and turned to go and saw Josh Saint and Mimi Garcia entering. No, scratch that, they were walking towards their table with beaming smiles holding hands together. Liyah looked at them confused. Are they together? Since when? Liyah was confused and zoned out while watching them.

August picked her bag and placed her hands into Liyah's intertwining them together and looked at Liyah's sight direction and her smile faded immediately. Indeed, enemies always met on a narrow road. August recognised the two people walking to the counter, but she was equally confused as to how they knew each other. Since the day Josh Saint caused the scene at the hospital, she hadn't seen him again. To be honest, August felt like she needed to have a chat with him because Aaron Saint, Liyah and Leo Martins seemed to be hiding things from her.

Liyah felt the cold touch of August's hand and looked at her. They smiled at each other and proceeded to walk out. It was like they both had an inner tactical understanding of not wanting to talk to the other two people at the counter but it was too late as Josh Saint and Mimi Garcia turned and saw them the moment they walked closer to the counter.

Josh Saint turned and looked at the two ladies holding hands together. He tightened his grip on Mimi's hand and Mimi felt happy and secure. Josh Saint looked at Liyah and August and chuckled saying ''I almost thought you two were Siamese twins. You are always stack to each other. If I want to find out where one is I just need to know the location of the other''.

''Let's go, August''. Liyah said leading the way and Josh Saint stretched his hand to block them.

''Say, what do you want from us?'' August asked sarcastically ''definitely is not to have coffee together''

''Tsk, tsk, tsk, your mouth is too sharp for someone who doesn't even know who she is, August Maijune''. Josh Saint said smugly.

''You''. August dashed forward and Liyah pulled her back.

''That's enough, Josh Saint''. Liyah said.

''I won't mess with you Liyah, because your boyfriend…no your husband is so scary. But, I am really interested in you, August Maijune. I told you to come to me when you want to know more about yourself. You see, I am the only one who can be honest enough to tell you the sort of monster you truly are. You are going to be totally surprise by the things you are capable of, August Maijune''. Josh Saint smiling as he looked at the face of August.

''What to do, Josh Saint? I am not the slightest bit interested in the garbage you spout from your mouth''. Mimi Garcia studied August and Liyah carefully as she watched them. ''If I have any questions, I will ask Aaron Saint directly. He will never lie to me. You…on the other hand should be careful. You said I was a monster? Be careful and don't provoke a monster or I might just come for your head''. August stretched her hand towards Josh Saint's neck and he stepped back. ''Big sis, let's go''. Liyah nodded her head and walked away with August.

''Who is she, Josh? Is she someone you also know? She seem to have close ties with Aaron Saint and Liyah Myers. They all seem so protective of her'' Mimi Garcia asked after Liyah and August went out.

''Yes, she is not someone you should mess with, Mimi. Don't ever go near here. She is a monster''. Josh Saint said as he stared at the figures walking away.

''A monster? I don't understand''. Mimi asked curiously, a suspicious glint of coldness flash through her eyes but she quickly hid it and looked at Josh with an innocent and alluring smile.

''Do you know the type of people to not mess with in this world?'' Josh Saint asked Mimi and she shook her head and he continued ''people who have a strong backing and most especially, a dangerous person who couldn't remember her past. The former have reservations but the latter doesn't have. Why? Because they do things on impulse''

''I see. I didn't know such things existed'' Mimi smiled.

''You're too innocent my love. Forget about them. They're not important. Tell me, what flavour of ice cream do you want to eat?'' Josh Saint asked changing the subject.

''I want vanilla'' Mimi said happily.

''Vanilla then''. Josh Saint said and turned to order and Mimi's lips curved into a half smile.
