Chapter 49 A Dream

"Ahahaha... Looks like there are going to be no change of shifts for tonight..." Emilia let out a dry laugh.

(That's for sure. It makes people hard to walk through the entrance with them doing it there. At least pick a proper place to do that stuff, those idiots) (Lyan)

Lyan let out a sigh and saw a disturbing sight beside him.

"Oi. What are you blushing furiously for? This girl over here doesn't even get that red," Lyan commented on the person beside him.

"S-Shut up! I'm not blushing!" William lowered his head. Since he's still using the hood of his cloak, Lyan couldn't see his ears, but he's sure that he must be blushing all the way to his ears as well.

"Fufu. Quite a cute one, aren't you?" (Emilia)

Emilia went to sit beside William, teasing him from beside him with a mischievous grin on her face.

"You must be inexperienced, aren't you? Want me to help 'teach' you some knowledge on that matter?" (Emilia)

*Cough!*

William cleared his throat, and as if he had already refreshed his face and regained his composure, he uncovered his face and reveal his usual indifferent face.

"Hm~ Now that I look at it again, your face has quite the great features, huh~" (Emilia)

"Is that so? I do aware of my pleasing appearance. It seems that you're very experienced in the matter of men and women, though, Blazing Lioness. Do you have lots of men before?" (William)

"Me? Hm... Quite, I guess?" (Emilia)

"I see. But your face seems to be rather flushed as well, are you perhaps startled because of the sight as well?" (William)

"Eh? Not really?" Emilia rejected his words.

"William. When a woman looks into such a sight, they got turned on as well. If you continue to pester her, you'll get devoured. Especially by a lioness like her," (Lyan)

"I see. So I'm in quite a perilous situation. Protect me, Lyan," (William)

"I won't devour you! It's not like I sleep with just anyone, okay!" Emilia retorted to the two of them.

"Ah. You made her mad, William," (Lyan)

"I didn't. You are," (William)

"You two... You two get along surprisingly well," Emilia commented on the sight before her.

"Me? With this virgin that blushed furiously when he saw some mercenaries colliding flesh with each other? Surely you jest," Lyan scoffed.

"I did not!" (William)

After bantering for a little bit longer, they continue to talk with each other about various topics. Since their way to the sleeping quarters is 'blocked' by the Crimson Talon leader and the two female members, they couldn't enter the sleeping quarters to get the ones responsible for the next shift to replace them.

So since they have no choice, the three of them take turns on sleeping and watching the entrance until morning. After having a light breakfast, the team quickly went to go return back to Arkansas City.

"Emilia. Why didn't you wake me up yesterday? Aren't we supposed to take turns?" (Alice)

"Yeah. But I got too absorbed in talking with the others, you see. So it's fine," (Emilia)

For some reason, Emilia didn't mention Lyan's or William's names to Alice. Looking at Emilia's energetic smile, she doesn't look like a person that got sleep-deprived because of the night watch.

"Hm..." (Surena)

On the way home, they reached the place they tied the horses without having any other sudden ambush or encounter with the goblins. They ride their horses back to the city without encountering any problems along the way. The fact that it's going so smoothly bothered Lyan.

(Before, they seem to be attacking us rather persistently, but now, it's too peaceful. It's as if they have already achieved what they are aiming for...) (Lyan)

Last night, inside the private rooms of the three most famous flowers of the House of Roses courtesans' house, the three girls could get any sleep, thinking about how their beloved are faring on the way together with the other Mythril-ranked mercenaries.

"They wouldn't bully him, right? Even if it's Lyan, having Mythril-ranked targeting him will be a great trouble, right?" (Belle)

"No need to worry. Lyan is strong, you know? He wouldn't let anyone get him," (Xena)

"The Valkyries will definitely help him as well!" (Alina)

The other two widened their eyes as they heard Xena's words.

The three of them became restless because of that thought, and finally-

"Pilia-chan! Could you show me what your papa is doing? Is there any kind of ability that could make you show me what he's doing!?" Belle asked the Papilio Slime beside her bed.

Since Xena and Belle seem to be very fond of the Papilio Slime and the Galewing Butterfly, Lyan left the two monsters with them. Xena and Belle also already explained about the existence of the Papilio Slime and the Galewing Butterfly to Alina and told her about how he is a summoner to her since she will soon become one of them as well.

But they didn't tell the Madam and the others about the existence of the two monsters, but unlike with Alina, if the monsters' existence got known by the other girls of the house or by the Madam and the others, they'll just say that they are their familiars and protect Lyan's secret.

"Pipi!" (Papilio Slime)

The Papilio Slime reacted, and a purple screen appeared above it. It looks like some kind of illusion magic, and suddenly, a familiar voice sounded.

<Blazing Lioness> (Lyan)

Lyan's voice sounded from the purple screen.

"I-It's Lyan's voice!" (Belle)

"Galia, you could do that as well?" (Xena)

As if she didn't want to lose from the Papilio Slime, the Galewing Butterfly summoned a purple screen above her as well. Now there are two of the purple screen, showing Lyan's sight towards them in front of them.

"Whoa... This is awesome..." (Xena)

"It's unfair! I want my own monster child as well!" Alina let out a tantrum.

<Heh. Emilia is fine. I thought you were sleeping, so I thought of doing some prank> (Emilia)

The voice of an unfamiliar woman stole their attention, and the three of them stared at the screen intensely.

<Doing a prank while covering your presence stealthily? Seems like you have a lot of energy, Blazing Lioness> (Lyan)

Looking at the sight of the beautiful crimson-haired mercenary having a mischievous smile towards their man, the three of them gulped.

"That's the Blazing Lioness, Emilia Kavirtina, isn't it?" (Xena)

"Yeah... She's famous for her high fighting prowess. I heard that her strength is the highest amongst the Valkyries..." said Alina, but her voice didn't contain the same excitement she hold when she was talking about the Valkyries as before.

"They won't do anything, wouldn't they?" (Belle)

"They won't... I guess?" (Xena)

"What with that question-like statement? Can't you at least be more sure!" (Alina)

"I don't know myself, okay!" (Xena)

The three of them banter with each other as they didn't stop staring intensely at the screen. After more than an hour passed, it was almost time for Lyan and the others to change shifts, so they went to the cavern's passage to enter the goblin's lair, but it turns out that the three of them encounter something 'unexpected' inside there.

The voice of two females moaning together with the sound of flesh colliding with each other resounded inside the room.

"That... That's the leader of the Crimson Talon. He's famous for being a player, and he used to be Lichia's ex, you know...?" (Alina)

"Wait! They are leaving? They're not going to continue watching them?" (Xena)

"Of course, they don't! What are you thinking!?" (Alina)

"*Pant!* *Pant!* Somehow... I got turned on..." Belle's face became flushed as she stared at the two of them.

"Belle!?" (Alina)

"Me... Too... Actually..." (Xena)

"Eh!?!?" (Alina)

Suddenly, the purple screen disappeared, and the room seems to get darker and darker. Belle's and Xena's heavy breathing made it seems like they are having a fever, and suddenly-

"Belle,"

"Xena,"

Lyan's voice appeared from the door, but when they shifted their gaze towards the direction of the source, Alina found that there are two Lyans staring at them.

(Eh? are my eyes playing games with me!?) (Alina)

"Lyan..." (Belle)

"Lyan..." (Xena)

The two of them called Lyan's name with a coquettish voice. As if responding to their calls, the two Lyans approached the two of them slowly.

"Wait, wait. What are you doing? What about mine? Why are there only two of you!?!?!?" (Alina)

Alina opened her eyes and widened her eyes when she saw the familiar roof. She still remembers very well about the two Lyans and her friends getting turned on.

"Eh? It's all a dream?" (Alina)

Alina take a peek at her best friends and saw that the two of them are sleeping soundly on their beds.
