Chapter 130 World Of Reflection

Name:Lord of the Karmic Fate Author:Gery_
Once Raven touched the Crimson Gate and agreed on challenging the Realm Game within, he felt as space around him twisted before he was teleported away.

Whoosh!

In a flash that made his head feel scarcely dizzy, the sight around Raven changed and he quickly found himself in a familiar region.

The Empty World.

'It has been quite a long time since I have been here.' Raven thought silently but quickly noticed that there was one small difference between this Empty World and the one he knew.

'The clouds are... crimson?' Raven scowled softly, feeling a little weird upon seeing the deep red clouds below his feet.

"Get ready. It's about to start." with a shortsword in one hand and a longsword in the other, Canwin spoke calmly, warning the others about the obvious.

And just a second later as his voice fell, the Empty World around the eight of them shifted and altered, quickly becoming a completely new world.

Or to be more precise, a completely new location.

"The hell is this place? Why is everything made out of glass?" Arthur exclaimed out loud with a deep frown as he tightened his grip around a small wooden wand.

Raven frowned also as he looked around, at the unusual scenery around him.

Currently, he was standing in the middle of a massively large and flat platform that had a circular shape while around him everywhere viewing-area was visible with at least a hundred levels!

The whole place looked like an ancient colosseum, one big enough to accommodate at least half a million individuals!

However, there was one single thing that made this whole stadium different from the rest Raven and the others have seen either in person or online back on Earth...

It was that the whole place was made out of transparent glass that was akin to a mirror!

Hell, it was better to call the material a mirror as Raven could clearly see his reflection on the ground and almost everywhere in the distance on the walls and stands!

'A world of mirrors?' Raven raised a brow and watched as a small panel appeared floating in front of his face.

It was the panel describing the challenge of the Realm Game.

"We just have to fight? I thought this Realm Game will be a little harder than that." Arthur exclaimed out loud, immediately making Dax beside him swing a hand and slap him on the neck.

"Argh! Hey! What was that for?" Arthur frowned as he held his neck with a deep frown.

Dax, who at the moment held a beautiful violin in his hand stared at Arthur coldly and snorted softly.

"Dumbass, exactly because of that statement of yours why we will be damned."

"Dax is right. We are in a Crimson Gate which had yet been conquered despite hundreds trying to do so." Canwin stated calmly as he studied the surroundings, "Thinking that this Realm Game will be easy and even lowering your guard is equal to courting death."

Massaging his sore neck with a somewhat remorseful, Arthur sighed and apologized.

"Though, the description here says we have to fight an enemy yet I see none. What exactly is happening here?" Arthur mumbled softly, earning puzzled frowns from the rest too.

He was right.

Despite standing where they were for now 5 minutes they noticed no movement at all much less the figure of the creature or beast they should at the moment fight with.

The whole place, the whole colosseum was as empty as if it was abandoned.

'I don't like this...' showing a deep frown, Raven tightened his grip around his Celeste Blade, his eyes slowly moving from side to side.

Then, the next second his eyes widened.

"Felix! To the side!"

Felix, just as everyone else was surprised by Raven's sudden shout, however, as he had a small amount of trust in him and noticed the fear in his voice, he didn't hesitate to jump to the side.

"What happened?" everyone looked around with alarm the next second, however, their shock only grew when they saw Raven flash like lightning and appear at the spot where Felix stood a moment ago.

Whoosh!

BAM!

With a sound of a great explosion that mixed with the sound of shattered glass, Raven pierced the spot where Felix stood with his blade, dumbfounding the rest.

"Hey! Raven! What the hell ar-"

"The ground! Keep your eyes on the ground and on your reflections!" Raven quickly shouted, silencing Arthur.

Luna frowned when she noticed Raven's serious face, but the next second her expression changed too and vanished from her spot.

Whoosh!

BAM!

The sound of another explosion swept through the air the following moment and this time it was Luna who attack a spot not far away from Helena.

"Camouflage-type enemy! It bends itself inside the reflections!" Luna quickly explained, making everyone else turn serious and keep their eyes on the ground.

"While Camouflage-type enemies are not hard to kill as their defense is pretty low, they are a total pain in the ass as they are insanely tricky to lure out of their hiding spot and land a direct hit on their bodies." Dax groaned with irritation as he realized his Role as a Supporter became tremendously harder than before.

"Why don't we just shatter the whole ground? With no ground, there is no place for it to hide. I bet after that it will have no choice but to come out." Helena asked. her chubby body slowly undergoing a change, becoming more and more thinner while the muscles on her body grew bigger with each second as if they were balloons getting inflated.

Even Canwin's weapons started to glow brighter while around Min Chen small circles began to form, possibly because she was ready to summon her helpers.

"That would be a foolish idea." Raven suddenly said, confusing everyone.

"I agree..." Luna mumbled as she pulled her fist out of the ground, blood trickling down her knuckles that slowly began to heal.

"Huh? Why?" everyone furrowed their brows before Felix's eyes widened, seemingly realization dawning down on him as his gaze fell on his own reflection.

"So you have figured it out, huh?" Raven mumbled as he raised his hand and wiped his blood away from the corner of his mouth despite he had been not attacked.

"Now understand how those hundred died. This whole place has its own law." Felix muttered as he looked at his own reflection.

"It seems if your reflection is shattered or attacked, your physical body gains a limited amount of damage also."

Raven nodded gently and spoke, "The moment I stabbed the spot where that thing was, my body was reflected there too making me feel as if I was the one who got stabbed."

"This place is akin to a Cursed-type Domain but much more dangerous as our reflections everywhere, meaning we can be attacked from everywhere," Luna added, helping te rest to quickly realize just how dire their situation was.

"Though, if that is true why didn't the thing attack our reflections in the distance and kill us that way? It would have been able to kill us much faster that way." Arthur frowned as he didn't take his eyes off his reflection on the ground.

"That is easy to guess. The larger our reflection the bigger the damage we sustain if it gets shattered." Dax said, his face both dark and grim.

"Argh! This is annoying as hell! What should we do then?" Arthur asked, using his hands to make a mess of his hair.

Raven, Luna, and Felix glanced at each other, trying to find an answer. However, no matter how long they pondered there was only a single answer for their trouble.

'We have to fight while making sure our reflection is not hit at all.' Raven, just like the rest thought silently and watched as something not far away from him moved within the ground.

It was like a mass of white light with the difference that it was quite dim and even moved from side to side with great speed.

Whatever that thing was, it was that they had to kill without allowing it to land a blow on any of their reflection, or else it was game over for them.

'What should we do?' Raven pondered as he watched the mass of light swirl around the eight of them, seemingly thinking who it should attack first.

Then, as if something snapped inside his head, Raven quickly summoned his Artifact and looked at it.

'Although I don't know if it can be done, I should give it a try.'

And with that in mind, Raven took a deep breath and thought about something, causing his Luck Enhancement to create a panel right above his dice.

And when it appeared, Raven's expression froze a little before a wide grin appeared on his face.
