Chapter 57 Spending Money Shamelessly

Once the phone was in his hand Raven pressed a small icon on the device's screen, on the hovering hologram, and watched as a small panel popped up before his face.

It was a text message from her little sister, Luna.

"I got it~! I will send it to you rn!>o<"

At that very moment, the small circular device placed at the edge of his desk lit up, and with a mixture of blue and white particles, a little golden card materialized out of thin air as if it was magic.

But it was not magic nor was it a special item acquired from Realms. It was his father's, Dan's invention and one of the most used devices throughout the whole world, the Zeusbridge.

Although just a prototype, it was still capable of transporting smaller and medium-sized inanimate objects, almost in a way akin to teleportation from sci-fi or fantasy movies!

Looking at the golden card which, in truth, was Lulu's credit card, Raven swallowed nervously and took it into his hands.

"Yeah, it came through, thank you. You are a life saver."

"Hehe~! Don't forget about what you promised! 3 hours of massage and an item from the Backroom!<3"

"Also, I know I have said this already, but don't worry about the money. I got this card from that bootlicker from the Waldell Family about two years ago and I have not used it at all. Feel free to use it. (*^^*)"

Raven forced smile on his face upon seeing what her little sister replied before he used the computer in front of him to log in to the Star Treasury's official website and create an account, obviously a unanimous one.

Of course, there was also the possibility the higher-ups within the Star Treasury could track him down through the Zeusbridge, but as he will ask them to send it inside a package inside the Black Moon Guild they won't know if it was him.

After all, after two weeks the Black Moon Guild no longer was just a sole little building; it was a miniature city with people coming and going on a daily basis so suspecting it was him who won the bet would be incredibly hard.

"Let's see what you got," Raven mumbled as he scratched his neck and shook his legs, and once he was logged in with a randomly given name, Anony Mouse, with a small black mouse with a white smiling mask on its head as a profile picture, he typed the word 'Avatar Flask' into the searching section.

And just as he thought, the moment he pressed enter, the number of Avatar Flasks that were on auction was a pathetic total of...

"12... There is a total of 12 Avatar Flask currently on auction," Raven mumbled and clicked on an Avatar Flask that raised one's Constitution by 5 points.

Raven stared at the screen for a few seconds with an indifferent gaze, completely unfazed by the massive amount of Novas one needed to spend to acquire the Avatar Flask, and quickly checked his Avatar Status.

'My Strength, Speed, and Constitution are the only ones that are the closest to 50 points so I should buy Flasks that increase those three.' Raven thought to himself as he wiped the sweat away from his forehead and checked all the Avatar Traits.

'4 Speed and 1 Constitution without any Strength Flask...' Raven sighed and narrowed his search only for Flasks which increased his Speed.

'3 points, 7 points, 5 points, and... Woah, that's a rare one. An Avatar Flask that increases one's Speed by nine points. Though, while the first three can be bought in an instant for 1 million Novas the fourth one cannot be.'

While marveling at what he should do, Raven bought the first three Avatar Flasks and asked for instantaneous delivery that cost him a total of 3,003,000 Novas!

Just like that, without any hesitation, he spent over 3 million Novas that in the past would have cost him twice as much as now!

Meanwhile, inside the headquarters of the Star Treasury, a woman sitting before a very modern computer gawked at the floating hologram in front of her with an old man in a white suit standing behind her.

"Anony... Mouse? Just what kind of lame name is that?" the woman mumbled quietly to which the man behind her snapped out of his daze and took a deep breath.

His name was Alexios Greyfall and he was the supervisor within the Star Treasury. In the past, he was only just a worthless manager within the United World League, but not long after the appearance of the Realm Gates, he was given this position by the Realm Association.

It seemed his hard work finally paid off.

"Those three Avatar Flasks. Where did he ask them to be delivered?" Alexios asked calmly, his gaze on the woman in front of him.

"According to the information I can see, they want us to send them into the headquarters of the Black Moon Guild in Silver Glade," the woman answered shortly after.

"The Black Moon Guild, huh?" Alexios mumbled and hummed for a few seconds before he shrugged, "Sure, whatever. Not that other guilds haven't bought things directly from us in the past. Just go ahead and verify it already."

"Y-Yes, Sir." the woman nodded and without hesitation ended the online betting, which, for obvious reasons, angered many throughout the world as they expected to win the bidding.

"This fucker... That Flask would have allowed me to become Rank 6! Who is this guy?"

"Anony Mouse? Pfft! He is not just a loser but his name is akin to a loser's too! Hiding behind a fake name like a coward!"

As for Raven, completely unaware of what he had caused with just three simple clickings quickly walked into the Black Moon Guild and stood before the desk.

"I believe I have gotten a package from the Star Treasury."

The woman standing behind the desk raised a brow upon seeing Raven's sweating figure and how he was breathing heavily while scratching his neck but still walked into the room behind her before she came out with a small box in hand.

"Thank you!" snatching the box out of the woman's hand Raven turned around and ran away, leaving the young woman behind completely stupefied.

"Come to daddy." after running back into his room and literally tearing the box apart, Raven opened the three bottles and drank the contents within with one single gulp.

From the side, he looked almost like someone who didn't drink for days and could kill even for a single drop of liquid if he needed to!

Once he finished drinking and feeling how the itching feeling in his body subsided a little, Raven threw the bottles to the side and walked before his desk, only to his steps to halt upon realizing something crucial.

Because the irritation inside his body was so great, he completely forgot about his gloves and to use them!

'Fuck this!'

Cursing out loud, Raven looked at the now three empty bottles before a mix of anger and grief plastered over his face.

Unfortunately, he had no power to go back in time, so grieving over something that happened was pointless.

Sitting down in his chair with a loud sigh, Raven directed his gaze at the screen and opened the Star Treasury.

"Now we wait..." Raven mumbled and wished to stand up and lay down on his bed in the hope to get good sleep when suddenly another notification appeared on his screen.

"What the...?" sitting back into his chair slowly, Raven watched as the bidding price for the Avatar Flask soared to greater heights every second, only stopping when it reached 4.2 million Novas!

"Who the crap is this Blessed Child?" Raven was dumbfounded when he saw how this Blessed Child raised the prize even more whenever someone bid.

Narrowing his eyes, Raven glanced at the golden card beside him and chuckled.

"So, you like to play, huh? What about this then?"

After raising the bid by a whole one million Raven leaned back into his chair and waited.

However, when he saw no notification even after full 5 minutes he smiled with satisfaction.

"Thought so," Raven mumbled and was ready to stand up and take a nap for real this time, suddenly a small bubble appeared on the screen once again.
