Chapter 36 - Rejection

The Personnel Department's Minister looked at the long letter late at night and didn't know what to do. He obviously saw that the boss wanted to keep Liang Jia by his side, so why did he suddenly fire her?

The Minister didn't want to think too much about it.

The next day, when Zhou Xing Chen was on a flight out of the country, Liang Jia had already been invited to the HR Department.

The Minister sat behind his desk, while Liang Jia knocked on the door. "Are you looking for me?"

Her voice was clear and her smile was bright.

The minister was momentarily sleepy, then he shook his head and told himself that this was the president's man and that he could not have any presumptuous thoughts.

He composed himself and organized his thoughts before smiling and saying, "Liang Jia, your ability to work is very strong, but …"

The Minister looked into Liang Jia's clear eyes and felt somewhat unwilling to do so. She shifted her gaze away, cleared her throat, and continued, "But, our temple can't tolerate you."

As she spoke, she stuffed the forged letter of resignation from Xia Qin'er into Liang Jia's hands.

Liang Jia unfolded it and read every word carefully.

After reading it, she couldn't help but laugh.

There was nothing in the letter except to drive her away.

Liang Jia smiled and raised her head, saying, "I understand Minister. Please tell Zhou Weiqing that I understand what he means."

The minister nodded.

Liang Jia turned around and left.

She packed her things and returned to her apartment, resentment filling her heart.

Heh, how can I, Liang Jia, be so detestable to you? Did she have to be so ruthless?

Zhou Xing Chen, Zhou Jia. These two words had trapped her life. Now, they were actually trying to fool her like trash …

"Weng — —" Liang Jia's cell phone vibrated.

It was Li Yin. She cleared his throat and pressed the button, "Xiao Yin? "At this time, is there anything you need?"

"Sis, come to my company and help me."

His resolute and decisive tone, without any discussion whatsoever, made Liang Jia think of Zhou Xing Chen. He was the same as well.

"What, you're suddenly talking about this?" Liang Jia asked.

"Not suddenly, Sis. I need you."

Although Li Yin didn't say it out loud, Liang Jia knew that someone must have told him of his current predicament, which was why he said this. He didn't hesitate at all; he only said that he needed her, because he didn't want to mention the Zhou family, afraid that she would be sad.

Liang Jia calmed her emotions and asked, "Who told you?"

The other end of the line froze for a moment, then said: "What?"

"Who told you about me leaving the Zhou family?" Liang Jia asked.

"Young mistress!"

"It doesn't matter if you don't," Liang Jia said softly. "Little Yin, do you really need big sister?" Not because he pitied her and pitied her and helped her, but because he truly needed her?

"En!" Li Yin's tone was so strong that he even nodded heavily, even though Liang Jia couldn't see it.

"Alright."

A few days later.

Zhou Xing Chen returned to the company in a travel-worn state, seemingly unintentionally searching for Liang Jia. He had not seen her for the entire day, and had personally gone to Liang Jia's office, only to find that she had already been fired.

"She's gone?" Zhou Xing Chen raged.

The Minister of Personnel had never seen the CEO angered before. His heart shrank as he replied, "Yes."

"Where did she go?" Zhou Xing Chen's voice was gloomy, his expression ugly.

"I don't know."

That's right, where did she, Liang Jia, want to go? How would the HR manager know?

When Zhou Xing Chen returned to his office, he couldn't understand why Liang Jia would come to the company if she wanted to leave. The more he thought about it, the more agitated he became.

Li Yin?

Yes, Li Yin, Liang Jia fought for his company when they were at Zhou family, and she didn't hesitate to beg for her help. Now that Liang Jia has left, it's most likely that she will only go to where Li Yin's company is.

A fire seemed to be burning in his heart, making him uneasy.

This woman, how many times have she said not to get too close to Li Yin? Or could it be that he had to ignore his own words?

In the afternoon.

Liang Jia was engrossed in the case of Rose Garden when she suddenly heard a ruckus outside, "Bang — —" The office door was kicked open.

Liang Jia looked up in astonishment. An angry baleful god stood there, making no one dare to approach him.

She raised her eyebrows slightly. Zhou Xing Chen?

Liang Jia rose and walked behind Zhou Xing Chen, closing the wide open office door once more. She also covered up the gazes of everyone outside.

Just as she was about to return to her own seat, she felt Zhou Weiqing tug on her arm. She turned her head, meeting his cold, frightening eyes.

"Why did you go to Li Yin's company?"

Liang Jia sneered coldly. She reached out a hand to brush away Zhou Xing Chen's grasp and put some distance between them. Instead of answering, she asked, "Young Master Zhou, how may I help you?"

"Let me ask you, why did you come to Li Yin's company?" Zhou Xing Chen repeated himself, his tone tinged with anger.

Liang Jia's brow furrowed, but she showed no trace of politeness as she said in a loud voice, "Zhou Xing Chen, control yourself. This is not your Zhou Family, otherwise I would have the security guard invite you out."

"Control myself?" A cruel smile appeared on Zhou Xing Chen's handsome face. "Control it? You're blaming me. Did you not control yourself well the night you left the Zhou Mansion?"

Liang Jia clenched her fist, anger showing on her delicate face. "Zhou Xing Chen, don't take an inch too far." She closed her eyes and exhaled a long breath, then opened them again. She was as calm as she was before, "Life is so long, who can guarantee that they won't bite you?"

Liang Jia's words made sense of Zhou Xing Chen, but she did not give Zhou Weiqing any time to think or refute. Liang Jia continued, "When I leave your company, you should be clear that there will be no one left to save." Liang Jia raised her chin, her expression arrogant.

Zhou Xing Chen's face darkened even further, his three feet body feeling like it had fallen into an icy cave. He approached Liang Jia and asked in a low voice, "I'll ask you one last time. Are you really going to be staying here?"

Liang Jia made a inviting gesture with her hand, "I told you, you should not do this kind of thing even though you already know it. "Looks like young master Zhou has no proper business to do today. Then, this way please."

Zhou Xing Chen looked at Liang Jia. She had taken off her smiley face, yet she was so sharp-tongued and merciless.

"Alright, Liang Jia, you're very good." Zhou Xing Chen felt his anger die down and left in a huff.

It was only then that Li Yin rushed over. He was a bit uncertain when he saw Liang Jia's indifferent expression.

"Zhou Xing Chen? Has he been here before?"

"Yes." While looking at the new information on cooperation, Liang Jia answered.

"Where is he?" Li Yin said anxiously.

"He left again." Liang Jia looked up at him and knew that he was worried about her. She comforted him, "Don't worry, I'm fine."

"Yes." Li Yin nodded and sat down on a chair.

"Lil 'Yin."

"He's here."

Liang Jia tossed him a piece of information on the supplier and loudly said, "Help me contact this company."

"Alright!" Li Yin happily agreed as he looked at the document in his hands — Jiang Hong Enterprise.
