Chapter 50: Cheng Su’s pet (1)

It wasn’t until early in the morning that Cheng Su sent Qiao Dai back to the program group and returned home. 

In the quiet huge villa, the moon’s cold light poured on the white tiles through the windows, giving birth to a cool atmosphere. Cheng Su’s mind would not stop; it seemed that after his parents had passed away, his surroundings had always been empty and he had always been alone. 

But as he slowly sat back on his chair, he took his phone out and stared at the screen. He wasn’t sure why but since Gu Yan had mentioned some of them were now chasing stars, he had started feeling angry yet curious. He scrolled through their pictures and found out that many of them had shared a lot of autographs and every other one made his eyelid twitch.

Qiao Dai.

Cheng Su picked up his phone again and unconsciously started uploading a photo of his own. After a while, he put the device down and went to rest.

On his slightly deserted page, a new message suddenly appeared. There was no test and only a strange picture could be seen; a handkerchief with a plum blossom paw print on it.

Cheng Su’s action confused everybody who had access to his page but nobody dared to directly go ask him what it was about. They could only all enter a small chat group and start inquiring and discussing the situation. What did the photo mean? And what kind of cute pet could make Cheng Su act like that? Only the cutest thing in the world could make Cheng Su’s cold heartbeat, right?

After the latest issue of <Pick Eleven> was broadcast on Friday night, the popularity of the program once again rose. In this issue, the guests’ identities were announced one after another and the big names made the netizens simultaneously stunned and excited. And among them, the most eye-catching combination was undoubtedly Qiao Dai and Sirius’ team.

[Oh my god, I didn’t expect Sirius would join the program! Double fans are ecstatic!]

[Sirius will perform with our baby Daidai! Omg! This is so incredible!]

[But doesn’t Lang Xing hate little girls the most? And now he comes to the women’s team draft as a guest, ahahah! What kind of magical fairy is Qiao Dai that she can invite Sirius?!]

Fans of Sirius were particularly surprised; who didn’t know Lang Xing was a very complicated character? He usually scared people away and while some people wanted to scold him for his personality, his strength was just too obvious to really say anything.

But then… What kind of ability did Qiao Dai’s team have to invite Sirius?

Among the supporting and encouraging voices, there was naturally some opposition. Sirius was the top-ranked group of China and Qiao Dai and the others were only trainees who had not even debuted yet. Even if their future looked rather promising, how could they compare to Sirius?

[I don’t believe nobody pulled the strings behind this cooperation.]

[Having Sirius as a guest… the sugar daddy must be really powerful!]

[What are you talking about? Nobody can match Galaxy, okay? Did you forget that the Cheng Group is behind them? Who’s more powerful than them?]

[Let’s forget about the behind the scene business, do you all know Sirius’s level? Who believes Lang Xing will happily sit when he has to perform with people he looks down on?]

Perhaps it was due to the very active discussion on the Internet, the program group opened the live broadcast the night before the second performance. The girls and their guests all had one-hour screen time, which was another way to heat up netizens for the upcoming show.

TL note: I’m not proud of myself for this chapter but… You know when you’ve been working tirelessly for months and finally get a break? Your body relaxes so much you actually get sick. Well, that’s me right now. I am feeling pretty awful and I can’t wait to go back to sleep, ahah.

The chapter is short but I’m already giving up for today. I will try to have the second part either tomorrow or Sunday but if I don’t, there will be a bonus chapter next week.

The same goes for IABIWAOD. Either the fever’s down by tomorrow and I will do it, or I will finish the arc in one go next week.
