Chapter 330 Whispering villain and Hero's sidekick

"Where is he?" Kevin said anxiously, while walking back and forth on the rooftop waiting for the guy whom Loki promised could help him out of this situation.

He had nearly managed to seriously hurt Leon, but the cripple was saved by his sister, who came in between all of a sudden. The glaring look of anger she gave him when she realized his intention was enough proof how much she loved her brother, and that only made Kevin more worried that she'd somehow save him.

After all, although the proof he had of witnesses and Levi using the truth gu, they were all inconsistent, and Leon could make similar proofs in his defense too. Swear a godly oath, sign a honest heart contract or use any karmic or past projection blessing to say he never did anything wrong for Levi.

Not to mention even Levi would get her memories back in couple more hours and then there was even a chance she might spill the beans on him too. Feeling angry over not just for what he tried to do to her, but also at what he did later to cover it up -

Though he was overthinking a lot as half these methods he cooked were too expensive and could only be used by elders or level 3 or above staff, who clearly don't have time for things like this. But well, who can blame him. Loki's been whispering whispers all this time and Kevin was already head deep in a shitstorm.

'Should I call my master, he could solve things easily. ' Kevin thought remembering his old white beared teacher, but then shook his head. 'No, I can't let master know all this, or he might... Fuck.'

"Fuck. Who the hell drugged me?" He said, stomping his feet heavily on the ground in anger. After such a long time he was sure that someone must've drugged him and that's how he lost his consciousness and control, but he couldn't understand who would do this to him.

Coming from a sect and belonging to a hidden family, he didn't even know anyone here before the academy, or provoked anyone after coming here, so the fact that someone tried to frame him was really gnawing at his heart.

[You'll be caught. You'll be punished, kicked out.]

[Maybe the crippled Leon would kill you first to vent his anger and wipe his humiliation of today.]

And that's why in that situation when he heard the words of Loki, who said he has a way to save him, Kevin readily agreed.

"He said someone would be here by now, where is he?"

"Quite anxious, Kevin."

The sudden words broke Kevin's focus as he turned around and noticed someone sitting on the edge of the rooftop, watching him intently.

"Who are you?" Kevin asked, seeing that the darkness of night made it harder for him to recognize the man looking down on him.

"Me, does it matter?" The figure said, jumping down from the height and landing in front of Kevin, smiling as he saw Kevin starting to channel his mana in defense. "Who I am doesn't matter, just know that I owed the trickster a favor and he asked me to save your ass."

"Quite the horny boy, aren't you? Couldn't even keep it in your pants till you were alone eh."

Kevin watched as the masked figure stood in front of him and mocked him.

Kevin tried to look through the masked man's clothes, expressions or eyes to see if he could get any hint regarding the identity of the man in front of him, since it was clear that he was one of the students at Zenith too, as no one else could come here from outside - but he couldn't find anything.

All he saw was just a black robe that covered the man's upper body and a black mask that hid his face, with nothing but a pair of black eyes leaving open.

[Hela scoffs at her shameless father, who's trying to snatch her avatar.] Rio read the notification and ignored it as always and focused back on his hesitating target.

"What do you say, Kevin? I can help you. Save your image, make you a hero for the academy and even solve any and all the troubles & cover loopholes. Just trust me. It'll only take a moment." He said.

[Apollo scoffs at people's tricks. Says only a fool would believe the words of a trickster.]

[Dqire says not to trust the man in front of you.]

[Kiuran says it's not a big deal even if anyone learns what you did. Just tell them you were drugged.]

[Hela scoffs saying the poisons are untraceable even by her. So stop fooling the poor mortal.]

[Asura king Kali laughs at you saying fucker failed to fuck and still has the face to cry about it.]

[Aphrodite says drugs only brings out the best of sex. Ohhhh yeah.]

[Apollo thinks of helping you if you become his follower.]

[Skuld says your fate seems bleak and dark no matter what you choose.]

[Cassandra pities you after seeing the visions of your future.]

Reading the various notifications from gods and their reasons and excuses, Kevin only felt even more confused and angry at his assailant who drugged him, but he had to make a choice.

"It'll soon be the morning, Kevin. And that's when the staff would call you and your little victim for your confessions, you don't have much time. Choose fast, or regret in your home, since zenith would surely kick you out." Rio said again, as his system informed him of Apollo and other God's interference. Fate was at its tricks again, trying to save this minion, sadly he also had his own gods and crowd to help him.

"Fine. Do it."

Finally under all the peer pressure and tension, the naive fool broke down and agreed to a situation he would soon come to regret all his short life waiting for in the future.

"But not me, I can handle myself. Just change the mind of Levi." Kevin said, thinking this was the best of the option.

Unaware that from the beginning to end he was just in the palm of Rio's hands, who knew all his tricks, hole cards and abilities even better than him.

[Congratulations on avoiding another trap flag host.]

[Keep doing it, and we'll be fine.]

In the novel, Kevin and his master in their plans to control and overthrow Blake family, had used the time freezing artifact to frame Rio for killing his grandfather, forcing him to run and hide for months while hunting squads trained by his father kept tracking him down every day.

But now everything was different. His grandfather's safe and sound, and Kevin's on a speeding train with a ticket to hell on his back.
