Chapter 343 Memoir Of The Past: Intermission (Part-5)

"So you found out."

Because of his severe injuries, the Water Celestial wasn't a match for it.

He was just a paper tiger that was acting strong to scare away the snakes.

He thought he would be able to fool it again, but his plan naturally fell short as it was already aware of his condition.

"At our level, a single glance is enough to tell the state of our opponent's body, and we exchanged moves." Chaos told him.

"We didn't. It was a one-sided beating. I whipped you so bad that you stepped out of the Endless in shame." The Water Celestial said loudly as if he was trying to announce it to the entire world.

Chaos felt embarrassed upon hearing his words.

"Old man, you are shameless. If not for the boundary wall of the Endless separating us, how would you ever have the chance to humiliate me?"

"Blah, blah, blah. Losers tend to cry when they lose at their own game, and they always try to find an excuse to blame their loss on. 850+ years have passed, but you haven't changed one bit. You are still a sore loser. Actually, there is a change. You were a crybaby before. And now, you are a big crybaby." The Water Celestial didn't hold back at all when ridiculing Chaos, pissing it off to no end.

It was an extremely prideful being, and being reminded of its shameful past angered it.

"I hope you will act just as arrogantly as now when I am before you."

Jist then, a new color emerged in the night sky.

Countless red lines appeared in the spider-like figure made of clouds.

When they connected, a bright red light flashed, blinding all.

After it receded, they saw that the illusory had become real.

The figure in the sky has solidified, becoming a powerful monster with a size comparable to an island.

It had a black exoskeleton, and several red lines were drawn on it. If one were to look closely at it, one would realize that these lines were no different than veins. Within them, the condensed version of a highly volatile energy flowed like a stream.

It had thousands of razor-sharp legs, each of which was longer than a ten-storey building, and they stretched out like tentacles of doom, descending of them like a calamity.

"It actually worked?" The Water Celestial clasped his hands behind his back, disregarding Chaos's fury.

"Why?" As if following his footstep, Badulf unsheathed his Class Weapon and took on a rather laid-back stance, although it looked like black and red lightning was flashing toward them. "You thought it wouldn't?"

"I guess a beast remains a beast no matter how intelligent it becomes or how long it lives. I overestimated it." the Water Celestial yawned and sat down, and started playing with the grass, curling it around his finger. "My work here is done."

"You have decided to stay around and watch the show?" Badulf sat down beside him, not giving a damn about the seething monster up in the sky. "I didn't think you had such a hobby."

Arnard gawked at them speechlessly. He felt rather confused, seeing how composed and calm they were. How could they be so carefree when it looked like the sky itself was falling down on them? It seemed like he was the one overreacting by feeling tense.

"With just words, I baited it into a trap." The Water Celestial added. "I have to see how it will end up."

Just when it looked like they, the entire rose garden and the mountains and trees around it would be flattened by the tentacles of Chaos, a resounding reverberation thundered across the sky.

Whoosh!

Chaos heard the sound of something sharp piercing through the air.

"Ancient Dragon Magic: World-Rendering Crimson Claws!"

Before it knew it, gigantic fire claws tore open the fabric of reality and clashed with its tentacles. They carried a lightning-like momentum and came so quickly that Chaos had no chance to react. The dragon-like fire claws ripped apart its tentacles and set them on fire. The fire was as bright as the sun, but it had a few black dots on it, representing something horrifying, and It was so fierce that it burned its tentacles to ashes in the blink of an eye.

Its tentacles were made out of Chaotic Force and nourished by the life force of its followers over hundreds of years. They were its finest weapons. Yet, they have burned away just like that.

Its expression changed drastically.

"Sneaky little bastard, you didn't expect this, did you?"

A maniacal roar came from afar. It was so sharp that it blasted away the dark clouds and seemingly ripped open the sky in two.

"He can't possibly be here."

Chaos turned toward the source of the voice in shock, and its many eyes widened to the size of saucers as it caught sight of a familiar figure.

"Ishtaq!" It uttered its name with intense hatred.

Reflected in its eyes was an apex predator of the wild.

It was a monster far more humongous than it. Ridiculously enough, it was two times larger than it!

Its body was covered in red scales, and there were eight dark horns on top of its head, huddled together in the shape of a crown.

Who could it be, if not the strongest dragonkin of the new age?

"Uncle? What is he doing here?"

Suddenly, Arnard heard the Water Celestial's voice.

"Chaos isn't the only one that knows how to scheme."

After waking up a week ago, he made an extensive plan to get back at Chaos.

Bringing Chaos's True Body into the Far West Continent and letting Ishtag deal with it was the main highlight of his master plan.

It was taking place at this very moment.

Whoosh!

Chaos raised its steel-like flexible legs and brought them down towards it.

Ishtag didn't even bother dodging them.

"Pathetic." They smashed on Ishtag's figure, failing to even create a crack on his scales.
