Chapter 274 A Draconian Song (Part-1)

The power Roy used to kill the first wave of Voss’s sons was similar to Victor’s, the empire’s first prince. The latter could control the world’s energy using his authority. Roy could do the same because of his Lord-Rank Physique. It could be said that Prince Victor now had no advantage over Roy. It’s just that everyone knew that Prince Victor was a soul herder of the first rank but didn’t know what his ability was or its specialty. It might be like Roy’s, giving him a special body or something else. It could be anything, and that’s the only thing Roy needed to be wary about when going against him.

Some soul herding abilities couldn’t be explained as they defied logic, able to kill a person from a thousand miles away. They were just that terrifying.

“Take me out of here.”

The Female Siren jumped into her husband’s embrace, pitifully looking into his eyes and wrapping her limbs around him like a koala. When she looked into his eyes, he lost the desire to push her away.

“I will.” Roy patted her head gently as he wrapped his hand around her lithe, slender, and stunning waist, holding her close to him and in his embrace. “Just close your eyes for a while. When you open them up, we will be back on the ground. I promise.”

“Okay, I will do as you say.”

She gave him a head nod, and her eyelashes trembled like calm winds as she closed her glistening eyes.

‘She is really obedient, ah! So cute!’

Roy found her very adorable, seeing how she was obedient to him like a wife.

‘No! She is my wife. The only thing left to do is consummate our marriage.’

Crack!

Rocks fell from above. The sound of something opening up reached their ears.

“Hmm?”

They raised their heads to look at the source of the noise and noticed that the ceiling had parted ways from the middles, revealing a wide sky. They were underground. It was quite clear to Roy that it was an artificial sky. A crack had appeared in it some time ago.

As they looked at it, it grew, becoming bigger and bigger until it was 5-meter in size and could fit 5 humans at a time.

Then, a familiar voice echoed in the cave.

“The portal to the Ashen Mountain has been generated! It usually takes me an hour to generate it. But seeing the troublesome situation you are in, I sacrificed myself to open it up for you in 10 seconds. And don’t feel bad for me. I existed for this sole purpose only. And since he has found this place, my reason to exist will soon cease to exist. It matters not whether I die now or later.”

The voice of the dissipating spirit of the secret mechanism rang in their ears. It woke up from its slumber when Roy completed the last trial. Even the Crimson Lord never knew that the secret mechanism had a spirit, thinking that it was like a level that could be manually activated. Even if it had succeeded in possessing Roy, it would have failed to get it to open the portal, and that would have resulted in it getting captured or, even worst, killed by Voss.

The spirit of the secret mechanism knew that they were in a tense situation and getting hunted down by Voss. So it exhausted its soul energy to open the portal faster for them. Now to mention, since Voss had found this place, its only end was getting corrupted by it. It chose to die for a better cause than become its creator’s enemy’s puppet.

“Thank you.”

“Don’t mention it.”

After saying those words, it disappeared for good.

“Let’s get out of here!”

The ceiling was too far away. Tevenlor flew towards it. Roy couldn’t reach it with a jump, even if he used all his strength. One could fly towards it. There was no other way.

“Let’s try it out.”

Roy took a deep breath in, tapping into his newfound power, one which was slumbering in his blood, and scales appeared all over his body, except for the places where he was in physical contact with his wife. He purposely didn’t allow them to appear there.

“Scales aren’t what I need.”

Roy didn’t have absolute control over his second bloodline ability. This was the first time he was using it.

Instead of what he needed, he ended up summoning something entirely useless to his current situation.

“It’s wings that I need. Please…” Roy wished for them with all his heart, and bumps appeared on his back. The Female Siren could feel his body heating up and snuggled him tightly. His warmth seeped into her, making her feel comfortable and eliminating the nightmares in her head. “Appear!”

Roy breathed out, and shiny wings extended from his back.

“So cool!” The Female Siren peeked at him and found herself falling in love with his new look.

Just then, an entire platoon of the evil god’s army swarmed into the cave, only to see them getting away.

“The enemies are planning to escape!”

“Don’t let them leave alive!”

“Get them at all cost.”

They rushed over to the husband and wife like a tide, completely ignoring Tevenlor, who turned around and attacked them from above, blasting them with his fiery red aura. Every single one of his attacks killed dozens of them. But it was like a drop in the ocean. There were several thousands of them, and their number was continuously increasing.

“I will stall them. Take this chance to fly into it,” Shadowless said to his creator as he looked at the evil hexes with eyes glistening in battle intent.

“No need,” Roy said to Shadowless. “Return to me.”

“If you need me, just call for me.”

Shadowless entered his creator’s shadow, patiently waiting to be called out.

Roy was quite indifferent to their presence. They couldn’t cross the Dragon’s Pond individually, but by stepping on their sinking comrades, they were able to reach its depths.

‘it’s better to deal with them and refine their souls before their number hits ten thousand.”

This way, Roy wouldn’t just be harming them but also Voss. His sons contained a part of his eternal soul. Usually, even if they died, his soul wouldn’t be harmed. Moreover, he would reabsorb the souls of his sons to strengthen himself. But the system was able to refine his eternal soul. Roy had already experienced it once. And he was planning to experience it once again.

“All of you can go to hell!”

A flick of his wrist caused the entire body of crimson blood to rise and fall on them like a tsunami.

It covered them in its shadow! It was the shadow of doom!! Signifying their doom!!!

The enemies’ eyes widened beyond the size of saucers, threatening to pop out of their sockets.
