Chapter 929 Tying up Loose Ends (2)

"There's no need," Kyran replied, turning his attention back to Malek. He pressed his pointing and middle fingers on Malek's wrist, feeling his pulse and confirming his condition before sending him inside the Void World.Th1s chapter is updated by n)ovel/\bin/\

Truth be told, sending Malek to the Void World was risky. With him in a weakened state and his magic core close to exhausting its reserved magic energy, he would have difficulty filtering the rich Void energy circulating in that world. Unfortunately, because of the urgency of the situation and a couple of other important matters Kyran had to deal with, he could only send Malek there.

Of course, taking into consideration the danger, Kyran had already communicated with his puppets who were managing the tower to enhance the array that filtered out the Void energy in one of the rooms.

The room in question was actually where the Abbot had stayed during his abduction.

Apart from that, Kyran also instructed two puppets to constantly transfer their magic energy to Malek and ensure his magic core would not get depleted.

The real cause of worry about Malek's condition was that he was suffering from external and internal wounds, which his magic energy automatically tried to heal. Unfortunately, his magic reserves were near exhaustion, yet they would not stop consuming what was left.

Cyneah did not know how to stop Malek's magic energy from trying to heal him. Which was why she could only send her magic energy to his core to replenish it.

One had to remember that if a mage's magic energy got depleted, they would either fall into deep slumber if it did not kill them.

It happened to Kyran before, and he ended up unconscious for days. Then again, back then, he also damaged his magic core, making his situation more life-threatening.

"If you're worried about the compensation for rendering my service, you don't have to worry," Ruin still insisted on offering his help.

This time, Kyran completely ignored him as he looked at Nahir. He gave him a dark purple disc and said, "Use this to contact Haji. Last I heard, Akim is having a meeting with his father. Rendezvous with them, and I'll come find you guys later."

Nahir took the disc, but his expression was grave, "Are you planning for another war?"

Although Kyran did not say it directly, the fact that he did not ask them to return to the border was enough for Nahir to guess that he still planned to wage a war.

"Depends on how the situation will unfold," Kyran admitted.

The situation he was referring to was the continuation of his confrontation with Aran's trump card and his Knights. If he managed to resolve the situation with the help of his Automatons, Servants, Sigils, and Noir's group, then the war Nahir was hinting at would no longer happen.

But if they failed, then they had to regroup with Akim and Nahir, and hopefully, Akim's father would help them out.

Besides, Deus was there. As much as Ruin wanted to kill that son of a b*tch, he did not want to take chances by exposing his real body.

Ruin's eyes suddenly widened at the thought of Deus. His smile turned into a scowl as he scanned his surroundings. Ruin had lost sight of Deus the moment he entered Somuli and did not know where he went. Initially, he thought Deus felt the Macabre Glacier and went after it. But then, the Macabre Glacier was an item known in the Lower Realm. Would Deus be interested in it when he was from the Higher Realm?

While the Macabre Glacier was special because it was created with Soul magic, there was no guarantee that it would be useful in the Higher Realm. Besides, unlike in the Lower Realm, where the highest mage level was a Sovereign, the Higher Realm was filled with far more powerful mages, with a Sovereign being the lowest level. Though the Macabre Glacier was feared by many, only Ruin knew that its effect on one's soul would weaken the higher their mage level was.

Ruin immediately pushed aside his thoughts. If the Fates had come, Deus would have likely retreated or hidden himself. After all, everyone in the Higher Realm was far more afraid of the Fates than those in the Lower Realm. In any case, he would look for Deus later. At the moment, his prey comes first.

"A very wise decision," Ruin replied with a smile. "But don't worry. I don't have the habit of taking another man's woman. Although, I admit I feel a little jealous of the attention you are giving her."

Kyran ignored Ruin and warped, not even giving Nahir a chance to protest.

Ruin chuckled and looked toward his left. Although he could not sense Kyran's aura, he more or less guessed where he planned to go. Not even bothering with Nahir and the rest, he also left and followed Kyran.

Nahir was left feeling a little vexed at the situation. After these outsiders had entered the picture, he felt as if his prestige had gone down by a lot. All Eidums used to look up to him, with quite a few little ones wanting to become like him someday. However, in front of those outsiders, he was nothing more but an errand boy.

Okay, so Kyran did not really say anything about Nahir becoming his errand boy, but thus far, that was how he felt.

"Did he forget I'm still Sisi's fiancé?" Nahir snorted belligerently.

Meanwhile, Kyran and Cyneah appeared in a clearing outside the underground shelter. After that, he received a set of coordinates from Filren as per his request earlier.

"H-He's following us..." Cyneah told Kyran while she held onto him. Her face, although a little pale, had a red tint around her cheeks. She was obviously flustered about everything that was happening. She was not even given a chance to adjust her emotions according to the situation.

Just a while ago, she was still feeling out of sorts but had to reign in her emotions because she had to address far more important matters, especially Malek's condition. But before she could even resolve his condition, one thing led to another, and she ended up unable to keep up with the ever-changing situation. And now, Kyran wanted to take her somewhere. Where that was, she had no idea. Although, she guessed they were about to go where he had to finish dealing with the matters he had to put on hold.

While Cyneah wanted Kyran to explain exactly what he intended to do by bringing her along, she decided against it. True, he said he did not want to take chances; that was why he brought her along, but she had a feeling that there was more to it than what he let on. Most probably, he would need her help in assisting their people the moment they started confronting the enemies.

When Kyran and Cyneah appeared once more, they were at the edge of a cliff overlooking a lush forest. Filren was already there, and to Kyran's surprise, there were quite a lot of knights behind him.

"Master, this is what I want to report," Filren immediately said. "Most of the knights guarding the castle wanted to help."
