Shortly after signing a contract to replenish magic stones at the temple, the first box of sky magic stones arrived.

It is a well-made leather box attached with a lock that is connected with the spirit Spriggan.

Alme enjoyed the dancing light emitted by the spirits every time she opened the lock.

There are fifty empty magic stones in the packing box. Putting ice magic into these magic stones is a week’s worth of work.

While eating lunch in the kitchen at the back of the shop, Alme diligently completed today’s work quota.

Ena and Jayla are also in the kitchen. Today is the day when all the employees are gathered. They are currently on their lunch break.

She is enjoying the girls-only gathering called ‘break’ while biting into a baguette sandwich with plenty of meat and vegetables that Ena bought at a shop on the main street.

Alme is eating a baguette sandwich with her right hand while her left hand is on the sky magic stone and pouring magic into it. It is a bit ill-mannered, but since this is a comfortable space with only commoner girls, she would like to be forgiven.

Ena spoke to Alme while eating.

“I was wondering if you had any new contacts yet, Alme? Did Julio’s uncle introduce you to anyone?”

“No, not yet. He promised to contact me if there is a good match. I’m not sure if it will be anytime soon.”

“Alme-chan has a matchmaker? I’ve never done an arranged marriage meeting, but what do you do if a nasty guy shows up?”

“It’s going to be a mess, no doubt about it… as someone who’s been there and done that.”

She answered Jayla, who asked her without thinking, with a distant look. Jayla choked as she looked at Alme’s dark face.

“… I’m sorry. Alme-chan’s ex-fiancé was the one who was decided through a matchmaking, right?”

“My ex-fiancé’s uncle and my grandmother made the decision for me. I don’t have any relatives, so they thought I should have someone I could be close to in the future. Well…here I am after all.”

“Is Mr. Julio’s uncle a trustworthy man? Isn’t there a chance he’ll introduce you to another strange man ……?”

“Mr. Darnell is like a ‘good-natured uncle,’ so I don’t have a bad impression of him. But you’re right. Next time I’ll be a little more prepared.”

The next time she has the opportunity to meet someone through a matchmaker, she wants to make sure that the person she is introduced to is a good fit. Mainly for their womanizing habits, etc.

Jayla munched on a large mouthful of baguette and mumbled.

“I don’t think you have to rely on that old man alone. If you don’t know if you can trust him, that’s even more so. I can introduce you to someone else too. It’s possible to meet someone through a friend’s introduction.”

“I can introduce you to someone too! But I can only introduce you to relatives or military personnel with connection to Aiden.”

“Soldier, huh? I hadn’t thought about that at all.”

After being told this, Alme realized that she had never thought about the future of being a military wife at all.

After a failed relationship with Julio, who is a gentleman and a craftsman, it might be good to be more open-minded the second time around.

Maybe she could have a solider as a partner.

“I wonder what it’s like to be matched with a soldier. I only know Aiden.”

“Young people are too impertinent, so you should do that. I definitely recommended older people. What about my younger brother?”

“Miss Jayla’s younger brother!?”

The candidate came from a location closer than expected. Alme knew that Jayla’s brother and Aiden seem to be friends, but what kind of person is he?

Alme widened her eyes and Ena laughed beside her.

“I don’t think Mr. Charikot is indeed a good fit for Alme. He is so flirtatious that Alme would be intimidated.”

Jayla’s brother – the one name Charikot – is apparently flirtatious. Alme was a bit intimidated by that information alone.

But Jayla pushed on without hesitation.

“He may look like a flirt, but he’s a surprisingly loyal guy. He would never cheat on his wife, so I would recommend him. And if he does anything weird, I’ll beat him up.”

“That’s…reliable.”

“With that kind of guarantee, you might as well add Aiden.”

Although Alme felt sorry for Mr. Charikot that he might be beaten up if he did anything weird, but she also felt that it was a reassuring guarantee.

While she was responding vaguely, Jayla was already on board.

“Why don’t you just try meeting each other? You don’t have to think of it as matchmaking you know. It’s just a way to gain experience.”

“Gain experience, huh? That’s what I would like, though, for the sake of the future.”

Alme’s lack of experience in this kind of male-female relationship made it impossible for her to make a good assessment of Julio. She couldn’t clearly see through to his flirtatious and mean nature.

As if she had foreseen these thoughts, Ena encouraged her.

“If you don’t meet people, you won’t develop a good eye for people. I think it’s a pretty good idea to gain experience through face to face meetings. Even if you don’t decide on Mr. Charikot, I think you should meet with a few people! After you’ve trained your eyes, I think it would be good to go for a real matchmaking session.”

“I want you to decide on Charikot though~. If you marry him, Alme-chan will be my sister-in-law! Then I can have ice magic stones as much as I want. I’m going to buy a refrigerator for my home too.”

Hearing Jayla’s ulterior motive, Alme leaned back with a gulp.

“Are you after my magic…!?”

“I’m kidding, I’m kidding! I just thought we’d make a fun family though.”

Jayla whistled and averted her eyes when Alme turned her gaze to her.

As she watched her, she tried to imagine what it would be like, a future where Jayla becomes her sister-in-law.

“But it sure looks like it would be fun if Jayla and I became a family. Then I wonder if I’ll call you sister-in-law.”

“Ahahaha, that’s good! I want to be called that!”

Laughing, Jayla patted Alme’s head. As usual, her hands were as vigorous as if she was petting a dog.

After laughing for a while, Jayla said as if it had just occurred to her.

“Today, Charikot will be at home until the evening, but if you don’t mind, would you like to have dinner at my house?”

“Eh, today!? I’m still not mentally prepared…!”

“Look, Alme, you have to fix that kind of thing. You should meet with him with a light heart and not be so self-conscious.”

“Uh… that’s right… take it easy, take it easy…”

Take it easy, take it easy, Alme told herself over and over again…but at the time of doing such a thing, it is far from comfortable.

“Then let’s go together in the evening. I’ll be with you, so don’t worry.”

“Yes…thank you. That’s very reassuring.”

With enthusiasm and energy, for the second time in Alme’s life, she was set to meet with a gentleman.
