Chapter 1 - Delusional Psycho Ex.

In the famous nightclub of that was exclusive only for the socialites of the autocratic families.

A woman clad in a simple yet elegant red dress was sitting by the counter. Her long, silken chocolate brown hair cascaded down around her slim stature and added a bewitching allure in her temperament. Her hair was but only a single one of her countless exceptions. Her figure was perfect and small. The skin on her hands was pale, flawless and retaining a gentle warm glow-giving her the attribute of a shining moon in a dark night. Her disposition was calm and graceful resembling that of a noble lady.

The woman's head was facing away from everyone so no one could get a good view of her features. But they could tell she had to be a great beauty.

At intervals, people would glance in her direction. Men, full of appreciation and admiration and women full of jealousy and envy. She was such an eye-candy. Even in the gathering of the most powerful and influential men of the country, she maintained her distinguishment. But none of them dared to approach her as if they were scared of her noble temperament.

"Just who is she?" People whispered.

"How can someone be so perfect."

"Hah, she looks beautiful only because of those expensive clothes. I'm sure her face wouldn't be this beautiful as she acts. Why else she would be hiding her face like that?" In truth, her clothes were not expensive. It was just beautiful people could make anything look good on them.

Slow music played in the background. People, dressed formally were chatting energetically. Scents of expensive perfumes enriched the atmosphere and made one feel a peculiar way. Everyone was cheery and vivacious, out there to have a good time and gossip about the recent happenings in the city.

In one such group of socialites, a man's eyes fell on the woman sitting silently by the counter. Something akin to hate reflected in the man's eyes.

Chen Yi's long eyelashes lifted up to reveal those big brown orbs. Her eyes were clear and limpid, shining and translucent like some precious dark brown gem. She tilted her head slightly to glance at her side once she sensed someone walking in her direction. "Looks like God took pity on me and sent someone to accompany me." She scoffed. Her voice was sweet to ears.

That new angle allowed countless people to get a view of her face. And they were all speechless. Whoever said her face wouldn't be beautiful was ducking down her face embarrassment. Because her beauty couldn't be explained in words.

How could someone be so attractive and ethereal?

"Chen Yi?" The man approached her and called to her. His voice held a hint of haughtiness. He was used to talking to Chen Yi in this way.

But what he didn't know was that this time, things were different.

The man was not bad looking. He was tall, handsome, clothed in a custom made suit and thus definitely belonging to a powerful family. His prideful temperament revealed that he was definitely not used to being ignored.

Chen Yi smiled. She didn't even spare him a glance. The smile looked so tempting on her lips.

"I'm talking to you, Chen Yi." The man frowned. Why was she ignoring him?

Chen Yi simply raised the vine glass, took a sip and very elegantly placed it back feigning perfect impassiveness to Fu Jianguo's presence.

Her whole movement was sophisticated and refined like some lady of noble birth. And the people in the club couldn't help but gape at her from time to time. indulging themselves in such a pleasant view to their eyes.

A bitter smirk unfolded on her cherry red lips. She continued to take another sip.

Fu Jianguo's face twisted with displeasure.

"Yi'er I know you heard me clearly. Stop acting like you didn't" Fu Jianguo's voice was loud and reprimanding. 'Just because she is beautiful does that mean she can ignore me?'

"I don't recall allowing you to call me Yi'er, Mr. Fu. It's better if you don't drop the honorifics." Her voice was calm yet strong.

Fu Jianguo was startled at her change of attitude. 'Dammit! The bitch has grown some guts, hasn't she?' He was annoyed at her arrogance. He wanted to hit her right then. But then he was reminded he was in public. It was not like before when he could hit her whenever he wanted. He had to take a deep breath and calm himself.

'F**k it! If not for his mother, he wouldn't even bother to spat at that bi*ch!'

He claimed a seat beside her. He leaned in closer to her. He didn't want anyone else to see this and tried to stay as quiet as possible as he grabbed her elbow.

"What do you want?" Chen Yi snapped at him. Her heart thumped for a second and her soul wavered with fear. Events of the past circulated in her mind. Those days that haunted her. But she was not that weak now. This time, instead of fear, her eyes held coldness. She steadied her heart gradually.

Her strong expressions surprised Fu Jianguo. But next second, he smirked.

"Do you think you have the right to act like this after everything you have done? You should be ducking your head down in shame instead of acting to be strong." Fu Jianguo laughed. "Even if you have feelings for me now..."

Disbelief appeared in Chen Yi's eyes as she tried to get her elbow free from his hold. But his hold was strong. And she was a woman besides she didn't want to create drama in the club.

"Why? Are you shocked? Are you going to pretend you don't know? Are you going to play your innocent card once again?"

Chen Yi finally freed her arm from his grip angrily. Red finger marks covered her pale skin. Her eyes stung from tears. But she was determined never to let them fall. She was determined never to let this man see her weakness.

She smirked, hiding her pain under her charm. "Mr. Fu if loving someone means wishing for that man to suffer a thousand times more than hell then I sure love you. And I will continue loving you for an eternity."

Fu Jianguo was speechless for a second.

"Are you trying to hide everything under your smart words. You might have learnt a few things in the last two months you were away but you can't hide anything from me, Yi'er."

"I don't need to hide anything from you. Whatever there is left between you and me and whatever I feel towards you is clear as water."

"Don't try to play with words" Fu Jianguo once again tried to grab her but Jing Lihua avoided his touch by ducking away. Her eyes were cold. "If not for you having feelings for me, why would you even care for my sister life?"

"And you are under the assumption that I saved Fu Liying because of you?" Chen Yi guessed it all. She had a mocking smirk on her lips as she chuckled lightly and took another sip of the vine.

The taunt in her tone was clear. Fu Jianguo felt like he was losing his temper. "Chen Yi! Are you still going to pretend that you had nothing to do with my sister's accident two month's ago?"

Chen Yi didn't say anything. She kept her face down.

"I'm not here to argue with you about the past. We both know it is you who can use such underhand tricks. You might have thought I would forgive you if you saved my sister but no, I'll never forgive for the vicious things you did..."

"So why are you. State your purpose and leave please" She waved her hand.

Fu Jianguo was speechless at being insulted like that. He observed she was getting bolder and bolder.

"Chen Yi, you know how much I despise you for all you did. No matter what happens that hate would never go away. No matter how you go and suck to my relatives. And no matter how you beg. I love Chen Ying and nothing will ever change my heart." Fu Jianguo paused. Chen Yi was impassive, not showing any reaction. "But I am not here to fight about the past as I said before. I am here on behalf of my mother. Because if not for you, Fu Liying would have suffered serious consequences. As a token of gratitude from Fu family you are welcomed back into our home."

Fu Jianguo waited for her response. He had expected her to smile. He had expected her to cry with happiness. After all, he still remembered how she had begged him for days o forgive her after she was caught red-handed.

When she didn't show any response, Fu Jianguo frowned: "And I might also forgive you if you check your attitude." After a pause he said. "But don't get your hopes high. You should know Chen Ying is the one and only in my heart."

All it earned was a cold face from her.

"If you are done now, please leave." She took another sip.

"Chen Yi!"

"If you are not leaving then I'll leave." Chen Feng felt a tinge of self-hatred. Self-hatred for the fact that her naive self of the past had been in love with this guy for the past five years and she had been eagerly degrading herself to please him.

She simply got up, smiled at him, turned and walked away.

"What was the meaning of that smile?" It left a deep impression on Fu Jianguo. It felt like his words didn't mean anything to her at all. Why was she not happy for being forgiven by him? Could it be she really hated him now?

Fu Jianguo scoffed. "She must be running because I said my heart belongs to Chen Ying."

He got up and followed her with a smirk.

"Chen Yi!"

She scurried through the crowd trying to get away from that bastard as fast as her feet could have taken her. Tears gathered in her eyes but she quickly wiped them away.

"No, I'm not going to cry again. I have done this mistake once. I'm not going to degrade myself again."

"Chen Yi stop right there!" Fu Jianguo didn't like to be the one chasing her. If he had called her, she should have stopped. When they were sufficiently away from the crowd he yelled. "Now what? Do you want me to get together with you? I only love Chen Ying. I hope you make this clear in your head. I'm already allowing you back to my family. Is that not enough?"

Anger burned in Chen Yi heart. She took deep breaths to get a hold over that inflating fireball of anger inside her that was ready to burst any moment. Her breathing intensified. She didn't know if it was her or the alcohol acting. She slowed down and Fu Jianguo quickly caught up to her.

"I was here just to convey my family's goodwill for saving my sister's life. That's all. Why are you being so difficult? Though I know that clearly you never did it because you care for Xiao Liying. You did it purely because deep inside you thought it would help you get my heart back."

Chen Yi almost couldn't believe it.

"What I did for Fu Liying had nothing to do with you!" She finally turned and yelled back. Her eyes were red but there were no tears. She took a deep breath. Under the moonlight, her features were greatly amplified. Her skin looked even more white and flawless. And those big brown orbs held the reflection of the round moon in them that could charm anyone's heart.

She laughed bitterly.

"Why the f**k are you so full of yourself? What is so good about you?" She said in a cold, unwavering tone. for once, her tone didn't shatter in front of him. "Listen clearly because I'm going to tell you this only once." Her eyes glinted dangerously as she stepped towards him almost scaring him with her cold aura, forcing him to step back. "I no longer have any feelings for you. The only feelings I'm left with for you are pure hatred and disgust " She enunciated clearly, stressing on each word, to make it past his mind.

Fu Jianguo was truly shocked this time. Wasn't she a demure, quiet girl who wouldn't even talk with someone in a loud tune let alone confront them using vulgar language? His face was puzzled.

The girl in front of was the same demure Chen Yi he knew yet she felt so unfamiliar to him. He felt a strange feeling creeping into his heart when Chen Yi said she hated him.

That beautiful woman was once head over heels in love with him. She would do anything to please him. And it continued for straight five years.

"Chen Yi you are refusing your feelings for me because you think it will make me want you. But doing this only makes me hate you" Fu Jianguo suddenly declared.

"Mr Fu, I have made it clear that I have no feelings for you. If you don't want to admit then that's your problem." Chen Yi voice was getting chillier. "Why are you getting so worked up over it? Shouldn't you be happy now that I have nothing left for you?" Chen Yi wanted to use today as an opportunity to end everything with him. "Besides, I would prefer it if you called me by my surname. We are not this close to being using the first name." She started to walk away but Fu Jianguo stopped her.

"Stop trying to avoid me." The lack of emotions in her tune was frustrating to him for some reason. "If you really want things to end then why would you always be flattering my mother all the time?"

Chen Yi almost couldn't believe it. Why would he not let it go? "I never flattered her. I just paid her a visit when she was hospitalized because of a heart attack. And that's only because she had always been nice to me even after you..." Chen Yi trailed off. She matched his gaze with her strong one. "Mr Fu, you know all that."

"Is this your excuse?" Fu Jianguo wasn't going to believe her word so easily. "Then what excuses you have for all those times when you showed up in my office?"

Chen Yi almost couldn't believe this guy. "Do you really believe that it was you who I intended to meet? Like are there no people other than you in this world?" Chen Yi was too stunned at the level of his delusion to laugh.

"There can't be so many coincidences, Yi'er. The harder you try to make me believe you don't have anything for me, the more it proves you do. If it wasn't so, you would have gotten yourself someone by now."

Chen Yi couldn't understand what this guy wanted.

Under the starry sky, two of them were almost alone on the pavement. It was late at night so there was hardly anyone. Her lips curled up into a seductive smile as her eyes spotted a man standing nearby.

"Why would I not get anyone?" She laughed and glanced at Fu Jianguo before calmly walking to that stranger.

"What are you doing?"

Chen Yi grabbed his collar, pulled his face down and kissed the hell out of him.

Oh well, she could always blame it on the alcohol.
