[The End of the Fierce Fight]

Madeline’s grand reversal counterattack.

It overturned the prediction of the knights who were convinced of Raul’s victory—or at least, it should have.

“Hmph!”

Raul dodged the counterattack at the last minute.

It wasn’t a coincidence.

After all, Raul had seen through Madeline’s plan from the very beginning.

“Wha?!”

When Madeline thought that victory was in her grasp, he pulled the rug under her.

The impatient Madeline lost her balance, which left her completely open.

“Uooooooooooo!!!!!!!”

Raul didn’t miss the chance.

He slashed at Madeline with all his might, fully releasing the power of the Demon Sword.

Immediately after, Madeline’s slender body whirled in the air.

If the damage hadn’t been nullified… Raul’s counterattack was so perfect that I was afraid to continue that train of thought.

Madeline’s HP instantly dropped to zero, and thus, Raul’s comeback victory was confirmed.

“““““Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!””””

Raul’s comeback caused the venue to bursting into cheers.

It was no wonder. Reversal after reversal happened in the span of merely a few seconds—how could the audience contain the thrills, the excitement?

“Winner! Raul Lorenz!”

As the cheers of the audience grew even louder after the victory was declared, Raul responded by having his hand with a shy smile on his face.

“…I’m glad for you, Raul.”

In the original storyline, Raul’s wasn’t a very enjoyable school life.

Although he met the Holy Knight Klaus and Tayte, he was continuously harassed by the great villain (original) Barrett and his henchman (original) Jarvis.

Those around him didn’t treat him too kindly, either.

No one extended their hand to Raul for he was chosen by the Demon Sword.

And look at him now.

The original and the current Raul had it totally different.

There Raul was despised by the entire academy for being bestowed the Demon Sword, whereas here, he was receiving huge cheers.

…I wondered why.

Although it had nothing to do with me, warmth filled up my chest.

Maybe it was something that only a fan who read the original storyline would understand.

Madeline, on the other hand, got up immediately, but when she found out that her HP had been reduced to zero, she plopped back down to the ground.

“I… lost, huh.”

Though she whispered so, her expression seemed somewhat radiant.

Defeated after giving her everything… it was a total defeat. It might have been a refreshing result for Madeline.

—No, for Madeline, it wasn’t simply a total defeat.

“Congrats, Raul!”

“Eureka!”

Eureka and Raul embraced each other, celebrating his victory, while Madeline stared at them.

Perhaps… this also marked the end of Madeline’s feelings for Raul.

“…Well, looks like it’s finally our turn.”

A voice sounded from behind me as I sighed in relief.

“Jarvis…”

“I know I’ve said it so many times, but please don’t go easy on me. Give it your all.”

“Oh, I sure will.”

Jarvis and I exchanged a firm handshake.

And then…

“Let’s move on to the fourth match! 2nd year light element class Barrett vs 2nd year light element class Jarvis!”

Our names echoed throughout the venue.
