105 Episode 103: Brave Stalker Extinction

The next day, Yayumi and I were visiting Tokyo again.

The city centre is quite hot and humid, albeit in the evening before the summer. It's still before the rainy season.

Arrive to a pre-checked location and park the bike in coin parking to find the desired building.

A slightly older miscellaneous building behind a tall office building, check the company name posted by the entrance and go inside.

"Other than that, it's a small office."

"Right. I thought it was a better place because there were so many famous voice-overs."

We were contacted yesterday by Mido, but we haven't heard anything yet.

Hi. It seemed hard to say on the phone, so I decided to meet and talk to him in person. When I told her about it at the breakfast table, Yayumi was so jealous that the promise was that she would come with me in the evening even after Yayumi had finished school.

When you take the elevator up to the fourth floor, the door with the sign 'Project Kanai'.

I don't see any call bells, so I knock lightly. I went inside because there was an immediate response.

As soon as I get in, there's a counter like a reception, and there's a desk lined up across from it.

When we get in, the woman in her forties or so who was in front of us gets up.

"Welcome. Do you promise someone?

"Uh, Mido called me. It's called Kashiwagi."

"Oh, I'm listening. This way, please."

The woman nodded quickly and prompted us to go back.

Watch the office at all costs while moving sideways.

There are three other people in the office besides the woman who spoke to me. All male, about fifties at a slightly larger desk in the back, a slightly fat round-faced person right in front of it, and a skinny, neurotic person in his late twenties next to the desk where the woman was sitting.

The man in the back gave me a slight smile when I met him. The fat man seems intrigued, and the narrow man casually throws his gaze as if to see the suspicious.

Subtly uncomfortable.

"I think Ai will be home soon, just give me a minute"

"Oh, yes, I'm fine"

Are you going out if you don't think Mr. Godo is here? Well, he said he was working in until the evening yesterday, and I guess he's prolonging it a little.

"I thought the entertainment office had a lot more talent and stuff."

"As an image, sure, but aren't the basic jobs of voice actors and talent outside studios and TV stations?

The reception room where Ayumi was guided? answer spilling as I looked around.

I don't even know if I'm gonna show up at the office every day in the first place.

"Other than that, it's plain"

Don't say that because you don't know who's asking.

About fifteen minutes of waiting while we're out of hand and whispering.

Finally, the door to the reception room was knocked and Mido's voice was heard.

"Sorry I'm late."

With all due respect, Mido, and the man in the deepest part of the office comes in from behind.

Me and Ayumi, who were sitting on the couch, also get up in a hurry.

"Oh, fine, fine, keep it up, keep it up"

A man waves a flickering hand as he says so and sits on the couch opposite him. Mr. Mido is next to the man.

As we sit down again, the door to the reception room opens and a skinny man comes in with tea.

I thought women do this a lot, but nobody seems to care if this is normal here.

Wait for a man, somehow only at me, to leave his tea (normally for others) ramblingly and leave the reception room, and cut the story out.

"Uh, so, do you have a consultation or something? Ah! If my sister asks, if she's awkward, I'll take her seat off."

I'll ask just in case.

"Huh? Oh, that's okay, but..."

Mido says it in a bit of a hurry before finally saying it.

"I'll explain. Oh, I'm late, but I'm the president of this office called Kanai."

I will also bow my head and introduce myself again to Kanai, the man who gives me his business card.

"In the meantime, I need to thank you first. Thank you for helping our hall at yesterday's event. I saw the footage then, too, but if you hadn't helped me, your hall would have been good and badly injured, if it had been worse, dead. I really don't know what to say and thank you for."

"Yes, no"

Oh, I knew you told the president about me, too. Even so, if that's the situation, how can we not talk about it?

"I also hear that you want to hide it. I hope you don't blame her because I overheard this. [M] And I'm the only one in the office who knows."

"No, I'm fine. I just want to avoid any trouble, and I know where the president stands."

Let's pretend things are clear here. Actually, to some extent, I was prepared.

"I'm sorry."

I repeat that I have no problem laughing at Mido, who bows his head in a strange manner.

"So, what I'd like to talk to you about this time, but I asked your hall, no, you think Kashiwagi is working out pretty well and used to rough things? Besides, I saw on the footage that I was dealing with a guy with a big knife that broke into the stage at my leisure, and I really wanted you to help me."

Kanai continues with a serious face, turning the look of her smiling calmly.

"I'll take care of it. Anything can help."

Say, hey!

Why would Yayumi take it on her own!

"Uh, first I want to talk to you, then, as far as I can, if you don't mind."

Hit Yayumi in the back of the head and leave her foolish sister alone to encourage her to continue.

"Well, you know, someone's been watching me lately, blackmailing me, something like that."

Mido takes over and says.

"Stalker, is it?

Sometimes I hear rumors that idols and stuff get stalked a lot. But you don't mean the man who's been intruding?

If I think so and ask, Mr. Kanai shakes his head and denies it.

"Apparently, the arrested man denies stalking. I've talked to the police before, and they've pursued it, but they totally deny it, and there's no contradiction in the statement."

I see. I get the point, but why me?

"Anyway, it's a fan's job to say it's an entertainment relationship. The police aren't so enthusiastic about it either. The boundaries between enthusiastic chase and stalking are vague in the first place, too. That's why I'm talking to the police, but it won't be easy."

"I know that, but I'm an amateur, right? Aren't you more sure you want to be a detective and a security company?

I have a college, too, so I can't escort you around four or six, and you don't know how to deal with those guys, do you? Well, the escort itself can be anything.

"Of course I'm not asking you to solve this. I'm asking for a detective's office that's familiar with stalking right now, so can you ask her for some sort of security detail while we get the results? I know it's a mistake to ask an otherwise unrelated Kashiwagi, but it seems to be quite daunting to hire a security company and useful for someone in the office. If you look, you'll have an armed escort or something, but those people are really expensive. I can't even thank you so much in such a small office..."

…………

"A major entertainment office can also send you to work and put up staff, because my place only has five staff, except for my talent and voice actors. And Kashiwagi-san, who you've known for a long time, says you can feel safe."

I don't remember you being so trusted at all.

It wasn't until yesterday that you found out that Godo was cosplayer Erica.

"Brother, no."

Ayumi looks at me jealously.

No, I know what you're trying to say.

"Okay. However, I also have a college, and I don't know if I can be with you guys, so if you can leave it to my friends instead,"

I thought about it for a while and that's what I ended up saying.

It's a boarded ship, and I think it was on TV a while ago that some underground idol had been injured by stalkers.

I knew you'd regret it in case someone you knew got hurt.

Most importantly, Yayumi's gaze hurts.

"Really? Are you sure?

Mido rides herself out and asks back.

Kanai-san looks horrible, too.

"Of course I don't mind that. But is that friend okay?

"Oh, you shouldn't have a problem with your arm. I don't care if you're a normal person with a blade or something."

Needless to say, it's about Leiria and Tia. Friends or family.

Strength is perfectly fine. Or so much so that you need to worry about them. And get on with it and use magic and full physical abilities... on the contrary, I'm getting anxious...

"Well, can you do me a favor? Essentially, when sending you to and from the workplace and other actions, the workplace is not allowed except by the person concerned, so it's okay during that time. I might ask you to do that each time, but it won't be long before your hall leaves home. 'Cause I'll adjust my work so it's not too late for the night."

After that, we will discuss the details and lay down the terms.

A good amount of money was offered as a thank you, but I don't know the market for this kind of thing in the first place, so I can't decide if it's a lot or less. First of all, I don't care about money because the motive is motive.

And the actual job started tomorrow. I plan to introduce Leiria and Tia then. Contact the two of you at once. Copy that.

"I'm sorry. I can't. But thanks."

"It's okay! Because even if my brother doesn't take his life, I'll protect you!

When I leave the office, Mr. Mido bows his head again, and I, not Ayumi, get eagle fried.

So why are you answering!

"As it is, well, I'll do everything I can, so you don't even think I meant to be on a big ship, but don't worry. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any sudden trips."

I answer with a bitter laugh as I eagle Yayumi's head and tighten it up critically.

I dragged Ayumi up screaming like a cat trampled on Shippo and left the office behind.

I left the Miscellaneous Buildings, and Yayumi and I are headed for the parking where we parked the motorcycle.

"Ugh, my brother's not terrible. What if I'm bald?"

"Weird"

There was resentment. Ignore Ayumi's gaze and think about the future.

As good as it is to escort you against stalking, I have my life too, so I have trouble prolonging it too long.

Even though it's loose, I can't be in charge of the circle so I won't be participating at all in the activities, and I want it to be time to meet Cedar.

I don't know how good the detective Mr. Kanai is asking for, but I guess I've never been there to solve it early.

Even Mido will want to get easier soon.

"Yayumi, I'll take your balls tomorrow."

"Mm. Copy that."

You figured out what I was trying to say, snort lightly.

I mean, I'm my subpoena.

Lately, it has completely turned into Yayumi's pet. When I'm at home, I generally sleep in Ayumi's room, and I'm totally fed with cookies and biscuits...

Whatever it is, I'm going to be busy tomorrow.
