Even though Gu Yanshu knew what the other person meant was that others couldn’t see him anymore, he still sensed a limp and painful feeling in his heart, as though it was kicked without warning. 

It was aching so badly, yet it also felt immensely comforting. 

He wanted to push Shen Jue away, but strangely enough, he felt that he couldn’t move. 

He simply leaned quietly against the wall, enveloped by Shen Jue’s coat, enjoying in the darkness the familiar body heat and scent.

That gangster-like voice sounded authentic enough, and the bill of his cap and the face mask had perfectly covered his face. That close to 1.9m height and the broad coat had completely enveloped Gu Yanshu within. Through the narrow shadow, Shen Jue looked the part of a young hoodlum who was pressing his little lover against the wall for a kiss. 

When the two young ladies following them saw this scene, they didn’t suspect anything. Blushing, they hastily walked off, but they were still whispering and discussing as they left.

“They haven’t gone far. What if they turned back?” 

Shen Jue said it in a just and self-righteous tone, but inside, his intentions were purely selfish. 

Gu Yanshu was very skinny, but he wasn’t the scrawny type. Yet, there was a right amount of pitiful frailness when he was in Shen Jue’s embrace, and there was also a mild fragrance emitting from his body. Shen Jue simply wanted to legitimately hug him for a while longer. 

However, Shen Jue barely had three seconds of proper hugging when his thigh was bumped hard by Gu Yanshu’s knee in a quick, accurate and steady blow. 

Shen Jue sucked in a cold breath of air from the pain. 

Yet, Gu Yanshu didn’t soften his stance. He shoved Shen Jue aside, then spat out two words coldly, “Thank you.” 

He was really heartless. 

Shen Jue was about to educate someone about the virtue of being grateful when his gaze unwittingly swept across someone’s crimson little ears and the flash of pink on his neck that was peeking out from his collar. Immediately, he felt that the knock on his thigh didn’t hurt anymore. 

Concealing that urge to smile, Shen Jue replied, “It’s fine, there’s no need to thank me. But why are your ears red?” 

The reply continued to be frigid, “The coat was too warm.” 

The tips of his ears turned another shade redder. 

Shen Jue couldn’t resist it anymore, and the corners of his lips curled up in a smile. 

Gu Yanshu was immediately infuriated. Just as he was about to turn around and walk off, ignoring the other man, the follow PD and VJ arrived. 

The expression of Wang Yang, the PD, wasn’t too good. “The both of you didn’t get discovered, did you?” 

Gu Yanshu had regained his calm demeanour, “No.”

Wang Yang’s expression brightened up. “That’s good. Just now, we saw two people acting sneakily, and they were carrying cameras. We thought they were strange, but we didn’t have any evidence. If you both weren’t discovered, then let’s go. Xiao Xia has already paid the bill, and we are meeting at the underground carpark.” 

“Alright.”

Gu Yanshu’s answer was calm, but actually, he didn’t even hear a word that Wang Yang said. 

He only heard that they could leave, so he pulled down his cap and walked briskly out, trying to leave Shen Jue and those uncontrollable thoughts at the back of his mind. 

Shen Jue observed Gu Yanshu’s back view as the latter escaped in a panic. He then controlled his smile, as he cocked his head to the side and whispered to Wang Yang, “Broadcasting that part just now could stir up quite a bit of controversy, so it shouldn’t be included.” 

Shen Jue was supported by the largest investor. 

Wang Yang quickly agreed, “Sure.” 

And then, he meticulously marked it down onto the script supervisor’s book. 

When they reached the neighbourhood, there seemed to be someone squatting by the north gate, where they usually entered and exited from. 

The car made a smooth turn and made another round before it entered by the south gate. 

Gu Yanshu was feigning sleep in the backseat, so he didn’t notice anything. 

Once they returned to the villa, they placed all the big and small bags on the table. Xia Qingqiao’s expression was gloomy. “After buying all these, we are now bankrupt.” 

Not only were they bankrupt, but when they were paying the bill, they were five dollars short, and he had to trade a candy box that he always had on him with a five year old girl for the money. He felt ashamed as he recalled that moment. 

Xu Fangfang consoled him, “That’s alright, all these staples can last us for three or four days. If we can serve our guest well today, won’t we get more money?”
