「I’m getting hungry. How about we eat first?」

I looked at my watch and saw that it was just after noon.

I was glad I had my watch since my PHS had been confiscated before we entered the forest.

I had lost the habit of wearing a watch around the time I started to have a cell phone.

We entered the forest around 10am and we had been walking in a mountain for more than 2 hours.

Walking the mountain where there are not even any animal trails will consume more physical strength that walking at a maintained path more than one could imagine.

Sanada aside, Futaba is already showing some signs of fatigue.

As for Yui, her training seems to be paying off, so she’s fine as expected.

I jumped up to the top of a tree and followed the scent of the boar through the branches.

It took me around 5 minutes to hunt the boar and return.

I did not intend to use any magic that would greatly exceed human capabilities in this orienteering but I have to when hunting wild boar especially draining its blood in the river.

From downstream, I heard some screams of “Blood!”…..

「H-he really hunted a wild boar…..as expected of a camping expert….」

Sanada’s eyes widened in amazement.

「I’ve picked up some firewood and brought all the seasonings so let’s grill and eat it. Just be careful of wildfires.」

「We can’t eat that whole thing, right? However, if we carry the left over, it will stink.」

「I was thinking about what you had in your backpack this morning. So it was seasonings….」

「It’s alright. I left the majority of it in the river for chilling. I did not bring much here.」

We’ll just get the ones we left in the river after the orienteering is over.
