495 Twenty-two Days of the Yellow Moon ② - Appetizers, Juicy, Fuwano

Name:Isekai Ryouridou Author:Eda
"This is an appetizer, which I call 'cylinder grilled'"

At the dinner party in Castle Town, there existed a lesson that the cook would unwind the commentary one item at a time.

Polearth nods "Hmm" to the words of Varcus, who is not emotionally felt in a different way than the people of the east.

"'Cylinder Grill'? Sounds like sweets to me."

"Yes. It was originally a cooking method I devised to make confectionery. This dish consists of cooking and grilling fuwano dough over iron skewers."

A small plate is left in front of twenty guests. Siri-Low, who brought the food in the trolley, and the old lady who helped him, had a paycheck job.

What an odd dish it was on that plate.

It has a thickness of 1,5 cm and a length of 10 cm, which is a black brown cylinder. Because of the size of the hole, the thickness of the fabric seemed to be only about three or four millimeters.

Its cylindrical object is layered on a white ceramic plate, in the shape of a cross. This was certainly a shape and texture reminiscent of cookies and the like.

"If you use a spoon or something, it will crumble, so eat in the woven fabric you have on hand"

A woven fabric was, in short, a table napkin.

When Polearths and Merrim grabbed the dish with it, the Ai-Fa and Vina-Lou clung to the woven fabric as well.

From all over, the modest voices "Hmm" and "Oh" sound.

Hearing that, I had to bring the dish to my mouth, too.

It has a texture that reminds me of cookies, just like it looks.

Moreover, due to this shade, the fabric appeared to be made of less viscous black fuwanos.

But it's not sweet, so it's not sweet.

The first thing I felt was the flavor of seafood.

I guess a crustacean body is used that reminds me of that amazing shrimp. Besides, the flavor was so rich that I could be sure that seafood stock was also used in the water to refine the dough.

Also, there's no way Varcus doesn't use vanilla. While highlighting the flavors of those seafood, I also felt a tingling aftertaste and flavor that eliminated the bad smell.

Furthermore, the more you chew, the richer the flavor will feel. I miss this too, it was Varcus' manoeuvre.

Perhaps this is made in the same way as Baumkuchen. Apply dough to iron skewers and apply new dough when baked. That repetition makes the fabric a thin layer.

So, as I imagine, a different kind of ingredient or vanilla is refined for each layer of that fabric. These meticulous tasks make it possible to create this delicate flavor change.

From the appetizer, I could already feel the bottomlessness of Varcus.

This is the dish of the Varcus without exception. To put it in a conceited way, I was comfortable finally seeing Varcus again in the true sense of the word.

"This is delicious. I know it's obvious because it's an appetizer, but it's gone in no time."

Polearth smiled and said so freshly as he folded the woven fabric he had finished using.

"Besides, there's nothing to go out to the right of Lord Varcus if you let him handle the fish!... Lord Kukuruel, how's the taste?

"Very tasty. And it's a very strange dish. We also often speak of river fish in our hometown, but we have never spoken of strange dishes like this."

"Hmm? I was wondering if I was going to serve Sim dishes, but wasn't that what it was?

With his eyes turned to Pol Earth, Vulcus nodded "Yes".

"I said I wanted to give my thoughts to those who are born in the east, but I have never worked on anything called pure sim dishes. If you misunderstand me, I will say the words of the devil."

"No, although you don't need to be frightened of anything. Then why did you want the East people to give you their thoughts?

"That, of course, could be considered delicious by those in the east, or we wanted to make sure of that. I have been trained to make sure that any birth is considered delicious."

With a blurry, faceless look, Vulcan said so.

"Also, many Sims ingredients are used in my dishes. On top of that, I want to make sure that Sims think that my dishes, which are made in a different way than Sims dishes, are also delicious."

Two voices, "It's delicious," also rose from the opposite table. It is the voice of the members of the Black Wind Cut Feather.

"Me too, delicious, I think. And the vanilla, the flavor I know so well, I don't know which vanilla I think. That's very strange."

"Really?" said Schmiral, Varcus nodded.

"I guess that's how it works because I use multiple herbs. If you thought it was delicious, I'm glad."

"Yes, very, very delicious"

Now only Alishna was involved with Sim, who has not shared his thoughts.

In the wake of Polearth's gaze, Arishna is quietly nodding.

"Very delicious. But I, Sim, don't know much about cooking, so I think the West feels the same way."

Shmiral looked back at Arishna in disgust.

Alishna's strange eyes, reminiscent of the lake at night, stare back at Schmiral in distress.

"I'm Sim's kid, but my homeland, I've never stepped on it. My grandfather's generation, his clan, his exile, he gave birth to me, Selva."

"Exile Sims?... Are you, Mafraruda, a clan?

"Yes, it's me, Alishna-Ji-Mahlaruda"

Schmiral nodded, as he was good at it.

"Was I? I, once, was Mr Ji-Sadumtino. Mr. Moribe, to become a family, I threw it away."

"... Polearths, talking, listening. I've been taking care of Genos for years."

"I see.... is your family, magnificent?

Alishna shook her head, "No," unchanged her expression.

"It's me, Mafraruda, my last family. The lord of" Di, "as you wish, the blood of Mafraruda, this will stop you."

"Really? Mafraluda, the power of astrology, so strong, that it became the fate of non-work, to bear. I'm sorry, I think."

"No. This too, Oriental God, must be a thought."

Two black eyes stared at you with different thoughts.

Next to such Schmiral, Vina-Lou is shaking herself to a laid-back.

"… so here's the next dish," Varcus declared without any impression.

With that voice, Siri-Low pushes the trolley again.

It seemed like Siri-Low was the one with many eyes from earlier but not even a dust.

"The lid item is the juice dish. The name will be 'Totos Egg Chilled Juice'"

Some of the guests were clearly surprised this time.

The next item also looked quite strange.

The dish poured into a deep dish was translucent and waved as sifted as jelly.

"Is this the juice dish? It's also quite unusual to say that it's not a warm juice dish!

"Yes, I hear cold juice dishes are not uncommon in Jagal, which is hotter than Selva"

Varcus also has a comrade from the people of the south named Bozzle, so I guess your knowledge is fully utilized.

Still, it's an odd dish. It was apparently the white body of Totos' eggs that was waving like jelly.

The white body of Totos's eggs does not get very white even when heat is applied, and remains translucent. I was aware of that, but it was the first time I had ever seen it used as a culinary subject.

To be sure, this is like having a lid on top of the soup with the white body of a toss egg. Moreover, it is highly transparent and sifty like jelly, so it is probably a semi-ripe heat condition.

Even at the bottom, which looks clear, there is no such thing as materials. It consists only of a white body of translucent eggs and a transparent soup, and it is said to be cold. I had no idea what it tasted like anymore.

"... I'd like to ask the people who were born Sims..."

And, ai-fa spoke to the lid.

I didn't expect Ai-Fa to open her mouth here, so I look back at you unexpectedly, too.

"I hear that the people of the east are very skilled at manipulating Totos because there are many Totos living in the meadows of Sim. Is it true?

"Yeah, it's the truth. We see our riding tototoss as part of our family."

In Kukuruel's reply, Ai-Fa frowned, "Well."

"I also live with Totos and consider myself a family member. Therefore, to mouth something called the egg of Totos, no more resistance is created... Is it the same thing that the people of Sim eat of Totos as we eat of Giva?

"Same as Gibba?... Oh, the people of the woods think Gibba is the same Morga Forest child."

Kukuruel narrowed his eyes softly as he understood something.

"I don't think that means much to me. We don't eat tototoss meat that we see as family. If Totos is old and summoned to his soul, he will return it to the earth just like a human being."

"Yet do you eat eggs, the son of Totos?

"Yes, because most eggs do not grow in tototos."

I = fa got a decent face.

"What does it mean not to grow up? Do birds and snakes come from eggs?

"Yes, but Totos is an egg-laying being, even if it doesn't connect. However, I remember that Kimmus was of the same nature."

With Kukuruel's eyes on him, Vulcus said yes.

"Otherwise, Kimmus won't lay eggs off like he does every day. Instead, most kimus should be kept separately from males and females in order for the periodicity of laying eggs to become irregular if they are to be followed. Isn't that the same thing, Totos?

"Exactly. Even in Sim's meadow, males and females are raised in separate places until they are married. In the meantime, we speak of eggs that do not grow as tototosses."

"I don't know, man. How could an egg not raised as a child be laid off?

"In the meadows, it is considered a grace not to starve friendly humans. Or maybe you're practicing to have kids sooner or later."

Kukuruel narrows his eyes to a calm sensation again.

In doing so, his sharp eyes softened and turned into very gentle eyes.

"Whatever it is, this is the grace that Totos brought. Isn't it the right thing to do to help ourselves without letting it rot?

"... phase understood. Let me apologize for making you stop eating for me and others"

"No, no, no," waved Polearth, looking at the interaction with interest.

"If eating tototoss eggs is not contraindicated for the people of the east or for the people of the woods, fortunately. Don't worry, let me taste Lord Varcus' arms."

Then Varcus nodded, "Yes," too.

"Totos meat is not much liked in the west because it is flavorful. But eggs seem to be a different and better ingredient for Kimmus."

Because of this, Ai-Fa, who had regained his serene expression, was to twist Vulcus on the side. Well, it would be more impossible to order Varcus to take into account the mood of the people of Ai-Fa and the East.

Either way, we decided to get a spoon every day.

The size of the deep dish is about the size of a small tea bowl, so it is a small amount.

When I spooned on that jelly-like surface, Totos' eggs were split without much resistance.

And from there, the inner soup smudges.

I shrugged up the clear soup of every tortoise egg I broke off and carried it to my mouth.

Even when it comes to refrigeration, it is a genous without the presence of refrigeration equipment. It was slightly colder than human skin and at any natural temperature.

First, Totos' eggs tend to slip through his mouth.

At the same time, the taste of the soup spread.

This is also seafood stock.

But it wasn't the seagrass or smoked fish flavor I knew.

I think it's probably fish, but it's sweet and flavorful. Now, it feels more elegant and refreshing than the smoked fish stock I know.

Furthermore, the stock was coloured with multiple herbs.

Since nothing has been added as ingredients, I probably simmered the vanilla in this stock. That, too, probably just got a little distracted in a short time. The scent that I remember smelling somewhere drifts only for a moment, and then disappears.

So when I finally chewed the eggs, the semi-ripe white body was gone to melt.

The strange taste is unfortunate, and I immediately put my hand up to the lid's mouth.

The small deep dish dishes were quickly gone.

Somehow, it is comfortable as if I was spared the feeling of hunger.

You thought the same thing, Tolst was giving a faint voice of "hmm".

"This is another incredible dish, too. I have no other ingredients than eggs, but I feel like having them on a large plate."

Tolst's face, reminiscent of an old pug dog, gives me an awesome look.

"Not at all," Polearth laughed.

"When I had previously spoken of Lord Varcus's dishes, I remembered that I had been given this feeling in an appetizer. They make you feel more hungry than you did before."

"Yes, depending on the dedication, you may also serve this chilled juice as an appetizer. Today, we decided to add more juice and finish it as a juice dish because the dishes after this are slightly heavier."

With the words of Vulkas who responded that way, now Tartumai showed up.

He is an elderly cook with long, light black skin and Sim's blood. The trolley that Turtumai had pushed was a lot bigger, and the next dish with a silver lid was on it.

All the plates for the number of people are covered with a crochet-like lid. From after Tartumai, Siri-Low and the old woman, who had exited at some point, pushed the same trolley back.

"It's three dishes, fuwano. … but this will be a dish called Sim's Chaska"

Shaska, Sim's noodle dish, which I've been hearing about for a long time, will finally be revealed.

with the people of the castle town, and Rimi-Lou was shining his eyes in anticipation. At the other table, the Raina-Lou and the others must have the same look.

Three servants line up plates for each basin, and at the same time only the lid is removed.

So, Shaska was exposed before us.

(I see. This is definitely a noodle dish)

Chaska and ingredients were served on a blackened plate.

The ingredients were made of ground beef and coarsely chopped vegetables, which at first glance had a sichuan-style juicless tangerine noodle-like finish.

Chaska is glossy white and the dough is only about 1mm thick. In my knowledge, it looks similar to bare noodles. On top of that, there is a reddish brown material hanging on it.

The moment the lid is opened, the fragrance is spicy. It was also a factor reminiscent of the dandandan noodles.

Plus, Turtumai and the others leave their adorable little bowls in front of everyone.

There was a powder of spices in the same reddish brown colour as Chaska's ingredients.

"… I don't really like condiments. However, in this dish called Chaska, we have prepared your spices because it seemed to have very different preferences in the east and west. If you feel there is not enough spiciness or flavor, please use it."

"So does this mean pure sim dishes?

When Eurifia inquired from the next table, Varcus shook his head "No".

"It releases my taste so that those who are born in the west may think it delicious. Therefore, I wondered if people in the east might feel weak in spice and flavor when they speak."

"I see. Whatever it is, it's an appetizing scent."

Polearth smiled and took a triple fork.

"Besides, thanks to dishes like the one revealed by Lord Asta, he's having trouble eating. Like this with this guy, should I wrap it around?

"Yes. Even in Sims, such practices seem to dominate. Depending on the land, they're eaten by the clues."

Vulcus had stated so, but the Kukuruels all had their forks in their hands, too.

Of course, I have a fork in my hand to challenge Chaska.

When I broke down on the edge, I got a heavier response than I expected.

It is a thin noodle with only one millimeter thickness, but this seems quite cosy.

Tease the noodles with the ingredients and try to carry the crackling amount to your mouth.

My impression that it looks like noodles in a way had hit me and was off in a way.

The spiciness of chitty fruits and ira leaves reminiscent of chili peppers, the flavors with acidity and bitterness, and the taste of ingredients dominated by ground beef, seems pretty close to Sichuan-style tanzawa noodles.

Beyond those strong flavors and flavors, however, even a mellow sweetness was felt.

Not sugar or honey. It is the sweetness of fruit. Perhaps a lamam similar to an apple and a minmi similar to a momomo were both used.

And it is Chaska.

That one was more noticeably out of my mind.

That noodle, which had a bare noodle-like appearance, had a surprisingly moist texture even though it was so thin.

When I'm chewing, I feel sticky like rice.

That, coupled with the complexity and depth of the ingredients, gave me a great deal to eat.

And apparently, the taste is also loose on the chaska itself.

Or maybe it's the flavor of Chaska itself, but it's a taste that feels so visionary. At least, I never thought that legumes like Hoboi and Lamampa might be worked out together.

"This does seem to be a very different flavor from what we know of Chaska"

Kukuruel said that quietly.

"But it's delicious. It's very surprising that so many vanilla can be used so far in the West Kingdom."

"As for vanilla, I also have some advice from Turtumai"

To Vulcus' words, Tartumai nodded snowly.

"You can also leave it to Tartumai in the task of boiling the chaska. So it depends on me not having to go back to the cook."

"You must have been a western people, Turtumai?

"Yes, I have the blood of Sim, and when I was younger, I fell through the eastern territories, but I was born in Selva, a western people."

Tartumai graciously left the room with the trolley.

Kamihito did not try to give his feelings to the people of the east, but he was also oblivious.

"Me too, delicious, I think. Also, Chaska, it's crackling, so I'm very happy, I think"

When Schmiral raised his voice like that, Vina-Lou looked over at you on the side.

"... you were eating these dishes in your hometown, Schmiral...?

"Yes. Taste it, it's different, but it's a dish of chaska, sim. I miss you so much, I think."

"Hmm......" Vina-Lou laid her eyes down.

Schmiral stares at Vina-Lou a lot more carelessly.

But Vina-Lou wasn't caught up in negative emotions or anything.

"You were born in a place called Meadows... I never left Genos, although I'm not sure what kind of place it is... Imagine you had a toddler's age too and were eating these dishes with your family... kind of funny..."

Schmiral was just staring at Vina-Lou, not even knowing what to answer.

Vina-Lou, who noticed it, shakes his head loosely with a face like he was about to smile.

"On the other hand, you just said what you came up with, so you don't have to answer anything...?

"... Yes. Thank you."

"... I wonder what the hell you're thanking...?

Vina-Lou began to carry Chaska into his mouth again as he shrugged his shoulders colorfully.

I guess Vina-Lou is more concerned than usual because he has the nobles in front of him. It was kind of fresh because it is Vina-Lou, who is often disturbed in front of Schmiral.

(Now that's the funny thing about Schmiral feeling more like he's losing his normal mind. Will these two one day be able to talk in nature like Sheila-Lou and Dalm-Lou)

With that in mind, I added just a little bit of spice to the chaska.

Really, Ai-Fa, he leans over like a little.

"Hey. Are you going out of your way to strengthen spiciness even though it's tongue painless spiciness because of it?

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I wanted to see how the flavor changes."

Besides, it seemed like it would be just about as spicier if it were the dandandan noodles eaten in Japan.

From what I saw, it seemed like me and Kukuruel were the only ones getting their hands on the spices in the back at this table.

Familiarize the ingredients with discreetly thrown spices to see one taste.

The spiciness, bitterness and acidity seemed to have intensified so well.

Chaska's solid diet neutralizes it, so I might prefer this.

Whatever it was, although the texture of the Chaska body was unique, it was a dish that was not difficult to eat at all.

When it comes to complexity, it has no more complex flavors, but I can feel it is purely delicious. From what I can tell, it seemed like everyone by the woods was eating this dish satisfactorily as well.

"Speaking of which, what meat is used in this dish?

Asking his chest about his great satisfaction, Varcus' blurred gaze has been pointed at him.

"What kind of meat do you think Asta uses?

"Right. I don't think there's any mistake in being a caron...... is it per caron breast meat?

"Yes, I use caron breast meat per fat"

Apparently I didn't have to let Varcus down.

But it was half Yamakan as far as I'm concerned because it's been carved so far and even used with plenty of spices.

(Still, if you try Varcus, I wonder if it's the idea of understanding and taking for granted. He's going to disappoint Varcus when he poorly asks questions)

Together, today's cuisine was finally a turning point.

My hunger and anticipation hadn't bottomed out yet, even when I finished eating Chaska, which is quite a treat.
