[Elira’s Point of View]

“How about a plan called…..?”

“That’s too much work for you, Shana.”

Shana proposed a certain strategy. However, that strategy would be too much of a burden on her. If it failed, her life would be in danger.

“Answer only if you think you’ll win or lose if it works.”

“…… It’s a pretty good strategy.”

If Shana’s strategy succeeds, she will be able to fight well even if her opponent is a demon.

“If so, that’s it. I’m going to go.”

I was so tired that Shana, who was more fatigued than I was, made a plan that would be the hardest for herself and began to act to carry it out. If that’s the case, then I have no choice but to stop talking about it and start working on the plan with all my might.

Me and Shana have never fought together. That’s why we don’t work well together. But the demon is not so naive that we can win by fighting together as we please. Of course, if I take only the vanguard, I am weaker than Shana. And Shana is also weaker than me if she takes the rear guard. So things got worse. But this was necessary. I had to think about what would happen after this and let Shana rest a little.

Shana said as she placed her hand on my shoulder once I had distanced myself from the demon. To be honest, I was about to reach my limit.

Shana’s clear blue eyes turned dark blue and she ran toward the demon.

“What the hell! You can do it if you try! Hurry up and get serious!”

Shana’s movements were completely different from before. Even the demon is having trouble with it. Shana avoided the attack of the demon by tilting her head.

I released my water spear into the space left by Shana’s move. The water spear hit the shoulder of the demon. It didn’t penetrate, but blood flowed. I was able to inflict damage for sure.

“Ku! How come you’re suddenly working in tandem!”

After that, the spirit magic that was released as if anticipating Shana’s avoidance hit the demon many times.

There is a reason why they suddenly became able to coordinate with each other. That is exactly what Shana’s strategy was.

First, I used almost all kinds of spirit magic when I was in the rear guard. Since they weren’t spirit advent attacks, I chanted them so that Shana could hear them.

Next, when I was in the vanguard, I was dealing with the demon while thinking about how to avoid such attacks like this and which spirit magic to use to attack in the space left by them. Even Shana, who can only read thoughts, had seen the magic names and effects with her own eyes just a few moments before.

And now, Shana was in the vanguard and I was in the rearguard, reading the thoughts of the demon and creating almost the same situation that she  had envisioned, and I would release my magic accordingly. This is the whole strategy that Shana has set up.

The weakness of this strategy was that if Shana forgot the situation she had assumed, or if she suddenly changed her behavior in the middle of a situation, my spirit magic would hit her.

However, I have already unleashed dozens of magic and not once have those things happened. That’s when I thought we might be able to win if It kept going like this.

“Damn…!”

“Elira! Run!”

Shana’s sudden loud voice made me try to keep my distance, but it was too late. Suddenly, both arms of the demon reached out and bit me on my left arm and side.

“He is a snake demon! His fangs have paralyzing venom!”

“It’s too late! Without her, you can’t do anything with just these low-powered attacks!”

I thought he was a lizard-man demon because he didn’t look that different from a normal lizard-man. I had no idea that his hands would turn into snakes.

“But…I caught you…..”

My eyes are already blurry from the effects of the poison. I can’t even use the magic sensing anymore. But I will complete this magic. Shana would surely avoid it.

“Oh, hey! What are you going to do with the water dragon behind you? Let go of me!”

“Water Dragon!”

“Gaaaah!”

I released the water dragon along the arm I was holding. That way the magic would hit him even if I couldn’t see it. I poured all my magic power, which was already slowing me down. If I had spiritualized, I wouldn’t have been poisoned any more, and I would have been free of the arm and could still fight. However, if I used spiritualization, I would lose almost all of my magic power. If I was going to lose my magic power anyway, I chose to injure my whole body with the water dragon rather than just injuring my arm with the spiritualization.

“Amazing…”

Elira’s water dragon was so powerful that it created a road with no trees in the deep forest.

“Damn …….”

I didn’t hear a voice, but I read a thought at the end of such a path. The thought was a grudge against Elira. At that point I knew immediately whose thought it was. It seemed that the demon was still alive even though it had been hit by that magic.

“I will definitely kill you…”

The demon that appeared was fully wounded. The arms that had been restored to their original state were nearly torn off. The magic of the spirit is not only in the body, but also in the mind. I no longer need to aim for the few wounds that were hit by the spirit magic in coordination as before.

The number of undead started to increase little by little from the time I started to coordinate with Elira. It’s coming closer with the sound of the water dragon that destroyed the trees earlier. Now Elira is struck by poison. It’s a paralyzing poison, so it’s not life-threatening, but if we don’t do something about the demon soon, the undead will kill us!

Even if it’s wounded to the bone, it’s still a demon. It’s hard to get an opening. The simple difference in status makes it impossible to attack. Besides, my time limit is approaching.

I rushed to Elira to make her drink the elixir. While I was on my way, I tried not to think about the last thing the demon was thinking about.
