Now that Jin WoWo had turned into a small snail, the two of them couldn’t visit the energy veins as planned.

The environment of the Energy Star was very dry, which was not conducive to the survival of the little snail. Thus, Raymond decided to go back.

Although the humidity in the cockpit of the spacecraft could be adjusted. However, the humidity in the cockpit couldn’t be too high, or else the electrical equipment may become damp, thereby affecting aviation safety.

Raymond poured out some of the water in the container to prevent water from spilling out of the spacecraft when it took off.

Raymond carefully drove the spacecraft, taking off slowly. When the spacecraft reached a stable state, he turned on the autopilot.

The container with some water and the small snail were placed at the center of the console in front of Raymond.

Raymond stretched out his hand, trying to help the little snail by taking the ring hanging on his neck off, “The ring is sinking. I will help you carry it.”

The little snail swayed his tentacles slowly, “No, I can hold it.”

Except for how the little snail speaking slower and having a more laid back tone, it was no different from how Jin WoWo was in human form. Raymond could even imagine the expression on Jin WoWo’s face should he be in human form at this time.

Raymond didn’t know much about snails. He only knew that it was a shellfish mollusk that secreted mucus.

Raymond happily watched the little snail slowly shake its four tentacles happily. When the little snail tried to turn its head, it looked a little strenuous because of the ring hanging around its neck.

In Raymond’s eyes, however, the little snail just kept looking cuter and cuter. Finally, raymond couldn’t help but stretch out his fingers and gently touch the little snail’s head with his fingertips. With a “swish”, all four tentacles retracted, making the snail look like it turned into a bald head.

Then, the four tentacles of the little snail slowly stretched out.

“What are you doing?” the little snail asked, swinging its tentacles.

Raymond smiled softly. “Come on up to my hands.”

Raymond did not reach out to grab the shell of the little snail. Instead, he placed his hand in the container and let the little snail climb up by itself.

The little snail babbled and crawled along Raymond’s fingers for a long time before finally arriving to the the back of his hand.

The spacecraft quickly returned to Central Star. This time Raymond did not go directly to the Marshal’s Mansion but went to his private house in the city instead.

Jin WoWo’s current state could not be carelessly divulged. Raymond wasn’t sure if even his parents could accept it.

Although Doris and Ren knew that Jin WoWo was not a person of their world, they didn’t actually know that Jin WoWo was a beastman, even more so a male beastman.

A few days passed by, yet Raymond and Jin WoWo hadn’t returned from their trip yet.

Doris originally thought that her son had taken her future daughter-in-law to a two-person world (T/N like a honeymoon).Seeing as she was an elder, she couldn’t bother the young couple and endured days of no communication.

But today was the last day of Raymond’s vacation so she was a little anxious as the two had yet to send news about a return trip. (T/N back to the Marshal Mansion and to work)

After thinking about it, Doris sent a message to Raymond.

As soon as the message was sent out, it was answered in seconds.

A three-dimensional holographic video jumped out in front of her in an instant.

In the hologram, Raymond’s expression was stunned. It seemed that he didn’t expect the sudden connection of the video.

Doris was even more surprised.

Because Raymond was half-reclining on a chair. And, on his cheek was a palm-sized snail crawling up.

The snail slowly shook its tentacles, tilted its head, and touched the tip of Raymond’s nose with one of its tentacles, seeming to be testing something.

Doris: “…”

What was this situation?

Raymond immediately sat up from the chair but did not remove the little snail from his face. Instead, he spread out a palm and placed it under his face to prevent the little snail from falling off.

“Mother, what’s the matter?”

Doris: “You…what are you doing?”

Hearing the sound, the little snail tilted his head slowly, seeming to want to see Doris in the video.

Raymond kept guard of the small snail with his hand, “It’s nothing.”

“Nothing? Why did you grab a snail and put it on your face?” Doris asked suspiciously

When Raymond encountered a question that he didn’t want to answer or was difficult to answer, he would remain silent.

So Doris waited for a long time but did not hear her son’s explanation.

And so, Doris guessed, “Did you catch a snail as a pet? Or did you catch it to give to Jin WoWo?”

Doris thought that the latter had a higher probability of happening.

Doris learned about the “pet” from Jin WoWo. because prior to his introduction, the Beastman Empire did not have the concept of pets.

Doris guessed that in the world where Jin WoWo grew up, people like to keep a small animal around. So it was understandable for Jin WoWo to want to raise a small animal as a pet after coming to this world.

But, it was Raymond who put a snail on his face and let it crawl…

Doris knew Raymond’s character well, and didn’t ask any more questions about the little snail. So, she changed the subject and asked, “Where’s Jin WoWo? Why can’t I see him with you?”

Suddenly, Doris’s eyes opened wide. She noticed that the background of the holographic video looked a lot like Raymond’s private house on Central Star.

So they had already come back?

Pondering over Raymond’s words, Doris blinked at her son ambiguously, “Have you two done it?”

“Before you took off for the energy star, didn’t you have a ring customized? Did you propose?”

“Yes.”

“Did he say yes?”

“Yes.”

Doris clapped her hands in happiness, gave him a thumbs up, and said happily, “Great, I will choose a good day in a little bit. I will have the wedding ready for you as soon as possible!”

Raymond lowered his eyes and glanced at the little snail crawling so slowly it was almost motion on his face. The little snail swayed the two long tentacles at its front and seemed to be looking at him too.

Not mentioning how much Raymond wanted to have a wedding, with Jin WoWo as he is now…

Raymond: “Mother, don’t worry about the wedding. I want to discuss it with WoWo first.”

Raymond did not turn the little snail’s body over. Instead, he stretched out the fingertips of his free hand and gently caressed the underside of the little snai;’s body with a delicate touch.

A hint of a smile appeared at the corner of Raymond’s lips, and his eyes were overflowing with tenderness. He contrinued to gentry stroke the body of the little snail with his fingertips.

The little snail laughed even harder, shaking all over.

One person and one snail played for a while before Raymond took the golden snail to a spacious room.

Raymond took out several large glass barrels from the huge sterilization cabinet and placed the golden snails directly above the mouth of the glass barrel.

Then, a steady stream of snail liquid flowed down from the body of the small snail, that was less than a palm, until it filled the large barrel.

Seeing Raymond hold a snail in his hand, he asked curiously, “Marshal, will we be eating snail meal at noon? This snail is not small. Where did you catch it? How about I catch some more or something else? Otherwise, this little snail wouldn’t be able to even fill your teeth.”

As soon as Cory finished his words, he felt cold all over. It was as if the air around him had dropped by twenty degrees.

Cory looked up at the sky strangely. The sun was still hanging high in the sky, and the light and heat it emitted were no different from before his arrival.

When Cory retracted his gaze from the sky and looked at his marshal again, he found that the marshal’s eyes were scary.
