Chapter 58: Suggestion From Aisha

Early in the morning, Yuuma, who was riding the train to work, was holding on the pole near the door while looking at the scenery outside of the train window.

Yuuma was looking at the flowing scenery outside the windows from the rather crammed train while pondering about his recent situation.

――Well, no one is gonna believe that the deepest dungeon appeared in the garden of my house anyway… Both the president and Tanaka-san had also told me that elevator type dungeons are just a rumor in the wild.

In the first place, the fact that I defeated monsters in such a deep dungeon seems to be too good to be true. That matter aside, the most important thing was magic.

After I used magic in the office, I went to 『Blue Dungeon』 with Tanaka-san and confirmed that I really can use magic.

Just as the president had said, magic was easier to use inside the dungeon.

Tanaka-san even praised my mastery of magic. He added that he’s gonna teach me more about the know-how to use magic tomorrow-which means today- when we’re visiting the dungeon again.

It seems I’m still lacking magical power since all I can do right now is changing the size of the waterball, conjuring and erasing the waterball seems to require a lot of training. Though, I really enjoyed those processes a lot.

Nevertheless, when I told Tanaka-san that I used magic in the office, the latter immediately dismissed that story, smiling as he told me that was impossible. Does that mean it requires some sort of talent?

Oh whatever, it seems I can use enchanted armament if I raised my “Magical Power of Water” a bit more and help the company to hunt more monster in the 『Red Dungeon』.

Yuuma got out of the train when it reached Kashiwa station, while revealing a rather weird smile on his face imagining his future adventurer.

「Yuuma, come with me to Aisha’s laboratory!」

「Eh? Aisha-san’s laboratory?」

The president unexpectedly had another plan for Yuuma who just arrived at the office. Naturally, his original plan was going to 『Blue Dungeon』.

「The result of your physical examination from a few days ago has come out. She asked us to come together since she seems to be wanting to talk something with both of us.」

「Ah, it’s the result of the measurement huh.」

I see. Surely, the president doesn’t tell me the details about how many mana indexes I have yesterday. Did she call us because it isn’t that easy to raise my mana index? Or is it simply because my mana index is hard to measure?

That matter was still a mystery.

I would be grateful since she would tell the details.

「Understood. Let’s go!」

Yuuma agreed immediately.

Since the company is located in Kashiwa city of Chiba, they need to drive for around one hour via the 6th highway of the capital to arrive at the laboratory which is located in Ota city of Tokyo.

After the car stopped around the laboratory, Yuuma came out from the car and looked up at the building.

The laboratory which used to be an old factory looks as dilapidated as before. Yuuma entered with the president and went up to the second floor via the stairs.

「Aisha, I came with Yuuma.」

「Excuse me.」

When they entered the room, Aisha had been waiting for them.

Her hand was inserted into the pocket of her white robe, standing silently as she looked at the two men.

Seeing her like that, Yuuma couldn’t help but agree that she had a slender and well proportioned body along with a well-ordered face. Though the dark circle under her eyes was a huge minus to her beauty, her sunny smile gave Yuuma a different impression compared to when they just first met.

「I’ve been waiting for you, Yuuma-kun.」

Yuuma who is still bewildered by the change in Aisha then follows her gesture to sit on the sofa.

Aisha was sitting in front of him, and the president was sitting beside her.

The president looked rather restless since a while ago, then he cleared his throat with a cough as he started speaking.

「Yuuma… Have you been hiding something?」

「Eh?」

Why did he suddenly ask about something like that!? Said Yuuma to himself since the question clearly came out of nowhere.

「N-No, I haven’t hiding anything though.」

What’s happened? Do they find something strange in my body!? Was what Yuuma wondered in his head. Seeing that, Aisha took her turn this time.

「In fact, I found something strange after seeing the result of your examination.」

「S-Something strange?」

Yuuma gulped his spit when Aisha told him so.

「You… Ate magic ore, right? And not in small number on top of that.」

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! MY SECRET GOT EXPOSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!! T-This is bad. I’ve to deceive them somehow.

「W-W-W-What are you talking about? I really have no idea about it…」

He felt really scared right now, he was sweating like a waterfall from his forehead.

But, it wasn’t the kind of secret that he could tell to others since once he told the other people about it, he might get arrested.

「Oi, Yuuma… You see~」

「Wait.」

When the president was about to say something, Aisha glared at him, telling him to stop.

「Can you let me to take care of this matter?」

「Y-Yes ma’am…」

The silent pressure emanating from her body forced the president to obey her.

「Yuuma-kun, you must have a reason for keeping this a secret from everyone. I know that asking you to reveal your secret is an extremely impudent request.」

Aisha spoke gently to Yuuma. But, Yuuma somehow felt like he was a frog being watched by a snake.

「Since that’s the case, it’s only natural for us to bear the risk.」

「R-Risk?」

Yuuma had no idea what Aisha was talking about. The president who was sitting beside her was equally surprised.

「You must be hiding something related to the dungeon. But as a researcher, I want to know that. That’s why――」

Aisha took a piece of paper and placed it on the desk.

「I’ve got a proposal for you. Mitaka Yuuma-kun」
