Chapter 261: Take Your Life

“6 years ago…”

Leticia mumbled to herself with a shaking voice. He had definitely said it back then. He said that he would have killed her 6 years ago.

That leads to one of two possible outcomes. Whether both of them are out of their minds, or they are actually speaking the truth.

Leticia felt her strength completely leave her body as she slumped onto the floor. While Leticia was still filled with confusion in her mind, Rihannan stepped close to her.

“If there is a difference between you and us, then it would be the fact that we still have kept our memories of the past.”

Leticia chewed on her lips and violently raised her head back up. Tears were welling up in her eyes. “Then that’s unfair. If what you are saying was all true, then of course you both would be much more advantageous since you retained your memories!”

“If you had your memories of the past, then would it be a different scene right now? Would you have lived differently?”

“Of course, I would have acted completely differently if I knew everything of the past!”

“Leticia, what do you think you would do if you were to retain your memory and return to the past?”

“Well I would of course…”

“Get rid of everything that would be an obstacle to you. Whether it’s a human or whatever, you would have completely wiped everything clean that had got in your way.” Rihannan gave a bitter smile. “And what difference would that be to the life you’re living now?”

Leticia realized what she had said was all true. Even if she were to return to the past while retaining all of her memories, she would have definitely lived a similar life like she had done so this time. She knew of this fact better than anyone else.

“That’s right. If you knew what would happen in the future, you would have killed me and my father much earlier. However, even if you do, the end outcome wouldn’t have changed much at all. You haven’t changed yourself, so what difference would it make to live your life a second time, or even a third time.”

“Just who are you to blabber on as if you understand everything!” Leticia wailed loudly as she cried. Even if Rihannan acts smart like that, in the first place she is born as the daughter of a reputable noble household, and already enjoyed twice the luxury of becoming a queen. On the other hand, how was Leticia’s, her own’s? The moment she was born, she was to go through h*ll, being accused of being an illegitimate child at every moment. All because of that woman’s mother! “You never experienced contempt from anyone in your life. You never felt how it is to live being dirt poor! Do you even understand what it is like to live a life together with a father who’s gone insane with gambling!?”

“So that’s why you had killed your father with poison?”

“That’s right, I killed him! Because there was no other way than that!”

“No, Leticia. There were definitely other ways as well. Not everyone tries to get over a crisis by murdering the problematic person. You simply didn’t even bother trying to find a different way to solve the problem. What you have said just then was simply a lame excuse.”

Rihannan brutally continued reprimanding Leticia with her cold voice.

“You resenting me just because I had kicked you out is also a foolish thing as well. Whether the life I had was supposed to be yours as well or not, you ruined your own life in the first place after all. But you probably will never admit that. Yes, I know, that everything that I am saying to you now is completely meaningless.” Looking down at Leticia for a moment, Rihannan spoke, “Tomorrow, you will be sentenced to death by decapitation.”

Leticia’s face that was filled with malice was completely gone in a single moment, and her face became deathly pale.

“D-Decapitation?”

“I heard that the evidences of your attempts to murder me was so clear that the guilty verdict was given quickly.”

Leticia looked up at Rihannan with a glazed look in her eyes. It seems that no one could hide their fears from hearing that their death is coming.

“I will give you a chance to take an option.”

As Igor stood beside Rihannan and heard her words, he frowned hard and bit down on his mouth. In truth, he still didn’t like the decision that she had made.
