Chapter 218: Caught In Action

A huge hand blocked her mouth. Although her arm was twisted in a painful way to the back, she couldn’t let out a single sound of pain. After subdueing Leticia’s struggling body, the man waited for the queen and the maids to pass by completely. After they disappeared down the hall, the man spoke as if he really couldn’t believe it.

“I was suspecting it was you once I heard someone with similiar appearance entered this place. But to think that you would crawl into the palace grounds yourself like this. I am not sure whether to call you brave or stupid…”

As the man clicked his tongue in disgust, he let go of the hand that was blocking her mouth. Leticia turned and glared at Basil with murderous look in her eyes.

“… Let go of me!”

“Do you think I’ll let you go just because you asked? Please think before you speak, Madam Viscount Leticia Olbach.”

“What?”

“Shh. Please be quiet. Our queen is feeling pretty happy, and it’s been a while since that had last happened, so I don’t want to ruin this occasion for her.”

Basil studied Leticia’s face, and although it had changed a bit, her face was still the same as the one drawn on the wanted posters. He frowned his eyebrows.

“Why are people saying that you’re the most amazing beauty that there ever lived? You don’t look much at all to me.”

Leticia couldn’t find any words to speak at that moment. While stunned by that he said, Basil yelled at the soldiers nearby.

“Take this woman away. This is the criminal who tried to murder the queen!”

Leticia once again tried to scream and struggle, but that didn’t go too long either. Her lips were once again sealed by a cloth, and a black blindfold.

She was escorted by the guards and were forced to walk somewhere together with them. After entering a building, she would walk down a few stairs. She started to feel humidity, as well as disgusting smell. As she was in a state of not being able to see anything nor able to say anything, the fear in her mind grew even stronger.

After being forced into a room, she was made to sit kneeling on the ground. A long time had passed in that state. Only the sound of her breathing heavily rang out around the room. As a long period of time had passed and Leticia began to feel that she couldn’t stand it any longer, she suddenly heard an iron door opening with a creak.

Along with footstep sounds, someone approached upto her. Soon after, she heard a sound of presumably that person sitting down in front of her on a chair.

Leticia wished for them to immediately take off the black blindfold that was covering her eyes, but even as time went on, there was no response at all. Just as Leticia’s patience was about to reach it’s limit, a baritone voice rang out.

“Take it off.”

Right away, the black blindfold was taken off from her eyes. The torches that lit the room was so bright it blinded her eyes a bit. She saw a faint shape of a man sitting on a chair in front of her. As her sight started to return to normal, his voice rang out again.

“Untie the ropes on her hands as well.”

“Your majesty, that’s…”

“Do as I said. And all of you, leave this room.”

Hearing the words that came out from the man’s mouth, Leticia gulped down. She had finally realized who was the man in front of her who she couldn’t see properly due to the bright lights.
