Chapter 52 - It's okay

His reply was right anyway. For a woman of her status, if she had inquired about her husband, finding out such news would be a piece of cake.

But she believed a relationship should be built on trust, and she would never suspect her husband for such things, that's how much she loved him.

She felt hurt, betrayed, cheated on, and lied to. Without saying anything further, she ended the call.

She left the company premises and began driving home, while she kept crying her heart out, and deep in thought.

She thought back to all the sweet words, happiness and many other things between them, making it so hard to believe that everything has been a lie all along.

He didn't love her. He had a mistress, or perhaps a second wife to put it clearly.

Tim clenched his fist as she listens to what happened from his mother. She doesn't even care about her present condition, and was all about how her husband has betrayed them and all.

There are some complications during the surgery, so she won't be able to stand on her own two foot again, not to talk of walking.

They have informed his father about this possibility before the surgery, and he signed the paper anyway.

Tim thoughts run wild immediately. Could it be that his father and the mistress is after the company? is that why he had approached his mother in the first place?

He felt disappointed, hurt, and angered.

Juliana saw the enraged expression on her son and spoke up, while her tears didn't cease falling. "it's fine though, I'm sorry baby but I need you to prepare to take over the company, as I won't let them have it their way, everything is yours." she said.

Tim didn't like where this is going one bit. His mother is giving up,  "mom, you need to worry about your health first, that can come later." he said.

"I'm fine dear, it's okay." she replied.

Tim shook his head in denial,  "no mom, you're not okay .. your... leg..  is." he stammered as his tears kept pouring out nonstop.

"I know dear, I'm not an idiot. I already discovered since I opened my eyes." Juliana said as if she didn't care, making Tim called her in exclaim.

"Mom!"

"It's okay." she said again.

That one sentence 'it's okay' is what always came out of his mother's mouth each time he met her shedding tears at a corner in her room.

She never got over the betrayal, even the night before she died, he had caught her with their family picture crying as usual.

Before he could make an attempt to console her, she said that one sentence again 'it's okay'.

Before she broke down completely, she makes sure to hand over all her shares and property to Tim, and announced him as her successor, making him one of the youngest CEO in the country then.

Hr has always had a quick temper from young, and thanks to his father, he became ruthless and dangerous to dared.

After his mother's death, the first thing he did was take over the little share his father posses and add it to his, leaving him with only the title, 'CEO's father.'

After that, he began feeling this sense of responsibility over women. If he saw any woman being hurt or in pain, he usually  felt like he his looking at his mother.

But humans will always be human. They started taking him for granted, and thanks to his exceptional look, he attracts a lot of women's attentions.

When he realises he has been making a fool of, he felt angry but he would never hurt a woman, if he did, he won't be different from his father.

There are some people who uses their daughter to get him help their company. Some of them who even go so far and hurt themselves in front of him to make him help, and he wouldn't be able to bear the sight and quickly render his help.

So instead of just being made a fool of, he decides to let them make a fool of each other, he abide to all their request and sleep with them in return.

He believes as long as he did not promise them love, he won't be hurting their feelings, it has now become a matter of mutual interest.

Slowly it becomes a habit, so instead of waiting for them to seek him out like they used to, he began seeking them out instead.
