Chapter 49 - Wanted her to speak with him

Speaking of the devil

Jerry and his right hand man Jimmy was sitting in his study. Jerry, a man in the early sixties, black low hair, with a slightly chubby body, also Leo's uncle, was fuming in rage, as he just got notifications from some of his people that got sacked about their outcome.

"That bastard! he dare go against me?" Jerry was very furious.

He slammed his hand on the table, his entire being shaking due to anger.

"Calm down sir," Jim, his right hand man said. He had a brown curly hair and was well built, despite being almost the same age with Jerry. The gap between their ages shouldn't be higher than 6.

He was also the man who trained all the boys at Jerry's disposal for his dirty work.

"Find out what that brat is up to, he must be up to something for sacking those people" Jerry said.

Jim spoke up, "actually sir, I have done my research." he said.

Jerry head snapped at the man beside him. "go ahead and tell me then, what the hell is he up to?"

Jim began, "he's holding a press conference in the next six days, he's going public."

Immediately Jim completed the sentence, Jerry's eyes went wide, "what! you useless thing! and you are just telling me now?" He growled and throw a kick at Jim's leg.

Jim winced and stood straight immediately,

"I just found out yesterday." he defended.

Jerry calm a bit, "what else?" he demanded.

"He accepted the invitation to the coming banquet and your son is back." Jimmy said and wanted to add something but changed his mind.

Jerry eyes darken and his whole body trembled. He has made plans for that banquet and his bastard cousin will be attending? If Leo go public, his existence wouldn't mean anything again, as he was only for the fun and didn't care much about business.

"Fine! since he wants to die so much, then I won't stop him. Prepare for the interview as well, I want to see how he will survive after I cut him into pieces, I'm sure you know what to do."

"Yes sir." Jim said and contemplated whether to tell him the last information he's holding back.

Seeing that he isn't leaving, Jerry shot him an angry look, "is there something else?" he asked.

Jim finally spoke up. He didn't want a situation whereby, Jerry will kick again for not talking earlier, "there is a woman staying at his residence."

Jerry: "a woman?"

Jim: "yes."

"We will deal with that later, tell that useless son of mine to come see me." Jerry said and Jim finally left.

*******

Clara was incharge of driving Leo to work now. Leo knew Jerry would have heard the news, and might attack anytime.

He wasn't afraid of that though, his main intention is to make Clara talk to him, but the girl wouldn't budge.

She has been driving him to work for the past three days now, and she always remain mute till she dropped him off, which is unlike her usual self.

He doesn't understand why he didn't like the fact that Clara is not willing to talk back to him in the manners she used to. Maybe because she's the only woman who has treated him that way.

He usually felt lonely, because not many could approach him. His two friends are all about having fun, but due to his condition, he couldn't go clubbing with them.

He was able to see Tim more often these days because of Clara, and the deal he lost because of him.

Mick on the other hand treated him as his master and always pick his words well with him. When he's in his parent mode, Leo would be the one to run away. Even though Clara was being provocative, he didn't want it to stop.

He looked at Clara serious side profile and decided to talk to her. Being a man without much experience with women, as Sharon had never stressed him during their dating, he didn't know where to start and he felt a bit nervous.

It is now he realise Sharon was really strange to begin with, he didn't go through any stress with her at all, it was as if Sharon was the boyfriend while he is the girlfriend.

"You know how to drive well," Leo said to Clara who has her eyes fixed on the road.

The previous Clara would have asked if they have been in an accident for the past three days she's been driving him, but now she nodded her head and said, "yes! as you can see."
