Chapter 11 - A trump card

Gregory has felt the guardian's power. He felt that it's not yet strong and traced it to that environment but he was late as Clara was gone before he arrived.

Sonya looked him in the eye immediately she felt his hand on her neck and gasped, but couldn't utter any statement nor blink. She just kept looking at him like she was being hypnotized.

Suddenly, Gregory gave an evil smile and releases Sonya without doing anything to her.

"I can't believe my luck with all these foolish guardians, hahahahah." he couldn't contain his happiness and laughed out loud.

Sonya regained herself and kept looking at him.

'Maybe I shouldn't have killed this curious one, he might have come here for the same reason.' he thought.

'If the guardian is so concerned about this human to the point of wiping her memory, then she just delivered a trump card right into my hand. This cutie must be so important to her.'

"I will use it well," he said before looking back at Sonya in the eyes, "we will meet again soon dear, take care." he added and moved closer to Sonya again, like he wanted to kiss her. Sonya quickly closed her eyes and turns her head sideways.

After waiting for a few minutes. Feeling no movements from him; she opened her eyes and couldn't find him anywhere along with the corpse of Matthew.

"Hello Timothy!" Mick said as his call got connected.

"Hi Mick, how are you doing? why are you calling? don't tell me the chicks over there are missing me already." Tim said.

"Wait! you are outside town?" Mick asked

"I'm outside the country, what's wrong? why do you sound so serious?" Tim asked

"It's Leo." Mick replied

"What's wrong with him, did he had another attack?" Tim asked worriedly.

"No, it's worse." Mick replied.

"Worse? can you please just tell me what's going on and stop talking one by one." Tim demanded.

"He barely eat nor sleep, and he has not left the house for the past five days now. He's acting weird and I've suggested that he visit the hospital, but he refused." Mick explained.

"Did that bastard contact him?" Tim asked.

"No, he has not contacted him for a while now" Mick replied.

"I will be back in two weeks, I need to seal these deals, it's important and I'm sure you're exaggerating. He's a man now and no longer a kid. you should worry less about him, he will be fine." Tim said.

"Two weeks? and I'm not exaggerating, it's really serious. Can you at least give him a call and persuade him to invite a doctor over please?" Mick plead

"Oh Mick, I'm sorry but I can't. Trust me, he will be fine, as long as that bastard is not involved." Tim assured.

"Ok, when will Ella be back?" Mick asked. If Tim did not take him seriously, Ella might, she's a woman after all.

"Ella will be back next month. Don't worry, immediately I return; I will come to find him." Tim assured again.

Around 9pm the next day; Mick brought an envelope that contains Clara's information to Leo's room.

"Sir, here is the woman's details." Mick said, as he entered his room. Looking around; his face turned serious and filled with worry. The scent of tobacco filled the entire room, while the remains of the cigarette were scattered on the floor.

Leo stood up and took the envelope from him and tore the seal. After going through the details; he placed it on his bed and started pulling off his clothes.

Mick looked at him in shock not knowing what to do next. Seeing that he's about to pull his trousers as well, he quickly retreat and went outside.

After a while, Leo came out. "I will be back in a while." he said making his way out.

"You are not taking your guards with you?" Mick questioned him as they both headed towards the garage.

"I will be back soon, I don't want anyone following me please." Leo said.

"But...but." Mick stammered, not willing to comply.

"Please, I said I would be fine." Leo said and got inside one of his cars and drove off.

As he was driving; his mind kept wandering through a lot of things, like what on earth is that woman and why he can't get her off his head.

He stopped at a red light and was still deep in his thoughts. Unknown to him, the light has turned green. The cars behind him started hitting their horn repeatedly to get his attention.

The noise caught him off guard and before he knew what's going on, his head started hurting and he his body started failing him.

The cars behind him keep hitting their horns nonstop, after a while, they started manoeuvring and left his back.
