Chapter 2 - Need a ride?

"I will fucking kill you if I see you at home, you better run away before I get there!" Sonya was on phone with Clara as she was on her way home inside a bus. Everyone inside the bus were staring at her weirdly after she said those words, but she was so angry that she didn't notice, as she was on her feet with her back facing the passengers.

"Die! die! die! you should just die, so I don't have to worry about you anymore, just dieeeeeee!!!" Sonya screamed, breathing heavily.

One of the passengers who was carrying her daughter that seems to be around four to five years of age covers her daughter's ears with both hands, but the kid still heard all Sonya was saying and burst into tears.

"Wu Wu Wu, mommy that aunty is weird,"  the kid said pointing at Sonya and crying. The woman quickly hugged her child.

Sonya, after hearing the kids words ended the call.

She wanted to apologise when she heard more cries, as Immediately she turned around; the three other kids that had been holding in all this while burst into tears, as soon as they looked at her face.

In the end, she was given back her money and chased out of the bus; due to the passengers threatening the driver to refund their money or chase her out.

"If I do not kill that girl today, then I will stop being Sonya and become Ayson." Sonya said.

"Need a ride?" she heard someone asking from behind, turning back she saw a handsome guy with this alluring blue eyes sitting on an expensive bike, his seductive smile is capable of throwing a woman into a fantasy world, where they will want to move closer and caress his face and captured the smile in their memory and treasure it.

Looking into his beautiful blue eyes; Sonya was about to respond to him, with her mood getting better when she saw the guy widen his eyes and speed off.

"What's going on?" she asked herself feeling disappointed, she just lost such a big catch, "is my face scary or what?" Feeling disappointed; she slowly took out a small mirror from her purse and gasped at her reflection, as her whole make up was smudged, her mascara had smudged all over her face due to her previously sweating, which left some tiny lines all over her face that looked like cracked wall.

"you've got to be f*cking kidding me!" she said out loud.

Getting home; she marched to Clara's room with an enraged expression, "oh my god, what happened to your face?" Clara asked immediately Sonya open the door to her room and looked at her.

"You still have the guts to ask me such a question? it's all because of you, dieeee!!" Sonya yelled, rushed towards her on the couch and pounced on her. both rolled all the way to the floor.

After their cat fight; both were breathing heavily with their appearance dishelved. Sonya burst out into tears, "Clara why are you doing this? this is so unfair." Sonya felt so wronged by her friend.

'You also need a loyal friend by your side, someone you trust, someone that can carry your secret with you. That way you wouldn't feel lonely in your world.' Clara recalled her grandma's words after Sonya started crying.

If she should confide in a friend, then Sonya is the right person. Clara knew how much it hurts the girl's feeling each time she found out she has losted her job again and again.

Also if that weird guy is actually her other piece, then she will need Sonya's help.

"You were worried and still remember to apply makeup? what a weird way to show your worries," she teased her.

"You think I will wish to remain single and continue staying under the same roof as you?, so you could give me a heart attack?" Sonya replied to her, cleaning the drops of tears on her face and calming her nerves.

"That was harsh" Clara whined,

"Harsh? you wanna know what's harsh? I lost a fucking big catch all because of you today, and I still ended up coming home like this after realising I've ran out of makeup wipes". Sonya blurted.

"I am so, so sorry." Clara pleaded,

"You say the same thing every time, I thought it's not your fault for losing those jobs, but after what I witnessed today, I take back all my pity.

I can't believe you gave me the look of what is going on after I warned you to behave when the boss is around. You must be insane! The more I look at this situation, the more it seems abnormal to me, are you cursed or what?" Sonya was exasperated now.

Not taking her words to heart "speaking of the boss, is he  out of his mind?" Clara asked

"How so?"

"What kind of person fire his workers just because of a little mistake?" Clara asked.

"Oh! And where have you ever heard of a boss that pays his cleaners such huge salary? we get double payment for our cooperation and you just f***ing lost an opportunity. A job where no one will mind your beauty or frame you for anything, all you have to f***ing do is clean and get paid." Sonya rebutted angrily.

"It actually makes sense now, I wasn't  entirely at fault though,'' said Clara.

"You are telling me he's at fault too?" Sonya glared at her.

"I need to tell you something Sonya, and I need you to listen to the end before asking any questions please," Clara said, suddenly looking all serious, making Sonya cringe, as it's rare for Clara to show this sort of expression.

"Just speak up, and stop with the weird look," Sonya said.

"I am serious Sonya, I am not who you think I am. I am the last guardian of earth, the only being that stands in the way of the evil being named Gregory," she paused to look at Sonya in the face to make sure she has her attention.

Sonya gave full attention to her, but deep down she is already thinking of how she will get her to a psychiatric hospital for a check-up.

Her guesses all this time were right, something is wrong with her friend's brain, but first, she needs to pretend and flow with Clara's every action to confirm how much she's sick in the head.
