Chapter 197

“Seeraa! It’s morniiing!”

“Seeraaa! Wake up!”

Cheerful voices that sounded like the chirping of sparrows rang like bells in the room.

Sera had woken up a little while ago, automatically waking up at the right time, but the bed was just so soft around her and wouldn’t let her go.

Unable to completely wake up, Sera covered her head with a blanket.

“Seeera! Wake up! It’s already morning!”

“Yeah. Sera, it’s time to wake up.”

As soon as she opened her eyes, she was greeted with the sight of two diligent baby birds who had run up to her, chirping once more now that they were at her bedside.

However, the sleepy tutor couldn’t get up because of last night’s incident. She burrowed herself further into her blankets.

“But you said good kids wake up early! We were looking forward to playing together with Sera all day long!”

When she opened her eyes a squint, she saw the twins puffing up their cheeks.

Feeling that it’s too bad to waste time, Rosé and Ferre exchanged a signal.

Clap!

As they gave each other a high five, they ran quietly towards the windows at the same time.

“Sunshine attack for the sleepyhead!”

Mimicking Helios’s occasional wake-up call, Rosé pulled a curtain open.

The summer sun was up in the sky for as long as possible, so even when it’s still just dawn, it was already so bright outside.

The dazzling sunlight entered the large window and illuminated the room at once.

In an instant, the room was filled with bright light, but the thick blanket was a powerful shield.

As Sera was still hiding underneath the blanket, it seemed like the sunshine attack proved ineffective, and she still wouldn’t respond.

“Then, roll cake attack!”

With a shout, Ferre stretched his arms out as though they were knives, then the naughty boy jumped into Sera’s bed right then.

As the bed went up and down, uuugh, uncomfortable groans flowed out from beneath the blanket.

“Let’s start rolling, Ferre! Now!”

Jovially, Rosé said these words to Ferre.

“Okay, Rosé!”

As soon as Ferre gave his answer, Sera was promptly rolled with the blanket.

Despite the rolling, the lethargic tutor had no intention of getting up.

“C’mon, wake up, Sera.”

“Wake up, Sera! Play with us, please? Pleeease?”

The twins whined a few more times. Soon after, the tutor’s face popped out from the blanket with some difficulty.

“This… Your Highnesses woke up too early. It’s not even seven yet.”

Sera murmured, still half-asleep. Her blue eyes blinked open.

“It’s not seven o’clock, it’s five thirty! Right, Ferre?”

“Yeah, yeah. It’s five thirty in the morning.”

“It’s just dawn at five thirty.”

With eyes that struggled to stay open, Sera grumbled but nonetheless smiled.

The broad-minded tutor understood a little bit of the children’s yearning to hang out with her.

Wiggling like a caterpillar, she tried to get out of the rolled-up blanket.

But as the blanket unwound under her, it rolled her right out of the blanket.

Huk! Rosé and Ferre gasped loudly.

“Sera! Are you okay?”

“Sera! Oh no!”

As she fell out of bed, Sera groaned for a short time.

Thud—

After Helios heard the sound, he quickly entered Sera’s bedroom.

Thinking it unusual that the door was open, he realized that the reason behind this was his younger twin siblings, who were standing next to Sera.

For some reason, Sera—who was still in her nightgown—was lying on the floor.

“Miss Popo? Are you alright?”

Helios’s flustered voice rang in her ears.

“I’m fine, Your Majesty. We were only playing a little when I fell.”

Sera waved her hands and assured that she was fine.

“What are you doing here, Rosé and Ferre?”

With a slight look of frustration, Helios rebuked the twins.

What else must they have done? They surely snuck away from the handmaids and came running to Helios.

“Heli Oppa, we came here because we missed Sera soooo much.”

“Hyuuung, I woke up early and came here right away.”

Still with eye boogers, Rosé and Ferre clung to his legs and looked up at him.

“But you can’t do that today. Absolutely not.”

With a stern rejection, Helios carried the twins at the same time.

The struggling little children tried to rebel, but Helios didn’t budge.

“Miss Popo needs to rest today.”

Lightly, he set his younger siblings down.

He placed a hand on Rosé and Ferre’s shoulders, turned them around, and gave them a push.

As the children reached the bedroom door, they soon complained how unfair it was.

“Oppa! Why! You’re here!”

“Hyung, whyyyy? Hyung’s here, but why can’t we stay?”

“You two need to sleep more. And Miss Popo needs to sleep more as well.”

They placed a lot of strength on their toes and tried their hardest not to be pushed out the door. However, the difference in strength between the twins and Helios was the same as the difference between heaven and earth.

With just a slight push on his part, the children bounced out of the door.

They gave him a look of resentment, but the bedroom door closed shut in front of them without mercy.

Helios went back and strode towards Sera.

Sera had risen from the floor some time ago and was now acting a bit differently as if the situation was embarrassing.

“Why don’t you sleep a little longer?”

Helios talked to her normally, not bringing up that she had fallen earlier.

“I was just about to wake up though…”

Pretending just like him, Sera told a clumsy lie.

She thought that she was convincing enough, however at the wrong moment, a languid yawn came up.

“I don’t think you mean that.”

Helios drew closer to her bedside with a low chuckle. He lifted the blanket on the ground himself.

“You went to sleep much too late last night. It would be better for you to sleep longer.”

“Yes, I was going to wake up. But since Your Majesty has made time for me to sleep more, I’ll do just that.”

“Good idea.”

Sera smiled brightly even when she was still very sleepy and not actually completely coherent.

Why is Your Majesty here? This question came to mind, especially the moment Helios picked up a thin book that was on the bedside table.

That book wasn’t there yesterday. She didn’t even remember bringing that here.

“Good night.”

His soft voice was like a lullaby to his ears.

Staring at Helios’s retreating figure as he left through the door in no time, she suddenly thought of this.

‘No way. You weren’t here the whole time, were you?’
