“Cheng Huo?” Shen Yin stared in shock at the man who had suddenly appeared beside her . She subconsciously glanced around the corridor, but did not see Lian Jing. Only then did she heave a sigh of relief. “Let me go so we can talk properly.”

But Cheng Huo refused to let go. He used his superior height to trap Shen Yin so that she could not move. “Yin Yin, how are you? If Lian Jing doesn’t treat you well, you can come to me anytime.”

“I’m fine.” Shen Yin pushed him helplessly. “Let go of me first. If anyone sees us, they’ll misunderstand.”

Cheng Huo’s seductive eyes were filled with loneliness. He said angrily, “Who are you afraid will see us? Lian Jing? So what if he sees us? I like you. I, Cheng Huo, will take responsibility for my actions.”

Shen Yin sighed softly and looked up helplessly. “What exactly do you like about me? Do you really like me, or do you just want a woman that’s hard to get?”

“Shen Yin, is that how you think of me?” Cheng Huo was so angry that he laughed, and a trace of hurt flashed across his eyes.

Why could Lian Jing enjoy her love so easily? Why couldn’t she love him? He was clearly very sincere too!

Cheng Huo himself could not explain why he had fallen in love with Shen Yin. It was as if he was destined to be with her for the rest of his life, right from their first meeting. That feeling was very subtle. Cheng Huo had not really fallen in love before, so he naturally thought that this was a sign of true love.

He thought of Shen Yin as his first love, like the moon, which he could never possess.

Shen Yin did not want to be entangled with him anymore and struggled to break free from his grip, but he was too strong. Instead, he pulled Shen Yin firmly into his arms. It was not until a low and sinister male voice sounded behind her that she suddenly realized something.

“Shen Yin, I’ve only been gone for a short while, but you can’t wait to meet your lover in private?”

The corners of Lian Jing’s lips curled up in a contemptuous smile. Looking at the two people hugging each other tightly, he seemed to hear the sound of his heart breaking. He subconsciously clenched his fists by his side and said angrily, “You had better let go quickly!”

Only then did Shen Yin react. She hurriedly pushed Cheng Huo away and maintained her distance from him. Just as she turned around and was about to explain to Lian Jing, she suddenly realized that Mo Ru was walking behind Lian Jing, obediently holding his coat.

How could this be? Why were the two of them together? Had Mo Ru gone to look for Lian Jing after she left?

Mo Ru seemed to guess her doubts. She walked to Lian Jing’s side and looked at him gently. Then, she tilted her head apologetically and explained, “I wanted to go to the washroom just now. I didn’t expect to bump into President Lian by chance, so I helped him dry his coat. Miss Shen, don’t misunderstand.”

Misunderstand?

Shen Yin looked up at Lian Jing in a daze. He had actually allowed the other woman to touch his clothes several times. That was really abnormal. His ruthless attitude towards Shen Luo was completely different from his attitude towards Mo Ru.

Thinking of what Lian Jing had said about the two of them knowing each other before, Shen Yin could not help but speculate.

However, Lian Jing looked at her impatiently and ground his teeth in hatred. “What are you thinking? Have I interrupted you and you haven’t had you fill of another man’s embrace? Shen Yin, I’ve really underestimated you. Since that’s the case, I’ll leave now. You can do as you please!”

“Lian Jing!” Shen Yin was really angry this time. She had already explained it to him last time. Why was he still unwilling to trust her? Wasn’t he worried that she had been compelled to do this against her will?

Lian Jing stopped in his tracks and turned his back to her as he said coldly, “Have fun, Shen Yin. Goodbye.”

If he did not leave now, he would not be able to control his anger. If he did not leave now, he would not be able to control his emotions. He had to leave immediately.

Mo Ru looked worriedly at the dejected Shen Yin. She clasped Lian Jing’s jacket and looked conflicted. “I’ll go and check on him for you. He’s not wearing his coat. I’m afraid he’ll catch a cold if he leaves now. Miss Shen, stay calm. I’ll go now.”

The corridor had been filled with tension, but in the blink of an eye, only Shen Yin and Cheng Huo were left.

Exhaustion instantly turned into turbulent waves that flooded her mind. Shen Yin leaned against the cold wall and narrowed her eyes into slits. “Are you satisfied now?”

Cheng Huo grinned at her, but his smile was a little ugly. “You saw it. He just let me have you, just like that. He’s not worthy of your trust at all!”

Shen Yin stood up straight and looked at him coldly. Her face was frighteningly pale. “Cheng Huo, if you continue like that, we won’t even be friends anymore. I hope that I will never see you again. Even if Lian Jing and I break up, I won’t forgive you. I will hate you forever.”

“Why!” Cheng Huo roared in disbelief. “I only helped you to realize that he’s man you cannot trust with your life. Why should you hate me?!”
