Chapter 23 [The Bath is Cleansing the Mind] Part 1

“Chise-san! I created a map!”

“Thank you…… I see, these are the fields and the well is in the center. If that’s the case, the river is west of the village.”

Additionally, a bucket was lying around the old, broken unused well, and you could see a cold bath there.

“Let’s put off repairing the old unused well and head to the riverside first.”

“What are you really planning to do this time!?”

“I’m going to build a laundry room and a bathhouse. I’ll seriously require some aid and labor here.”

I took Tet and Gash-san up to nearby the river.

There was plenty of water in the river with reasonably sized rocks scattered about.

“Tet, can you create a bathtub, waterway and a laundry room? The height should be… up to around my thighs.”

“Yes~ nanodesu!”

Tet arranged the riverside rocks in the same way as when she made the house at first and created a waterway, bathtub and laundry room.

Immediately after creating it, the water from the water flowed and filled it, so I created a channel with a molded stone slab to stop the drainage opening. After the bathtub was filled with water, I dammed up the water intake opening the same way as the drainage this time.

“Ohh, the laundry room is completed! That’s amazing! But, why did such a skill earth magician come to this reclamation village?”

“Hm? Simply because I was interested.”

“It’s because Majo-sama chose to come!”

Gash-san made a disagreeable face at us who didn’t inform him what we were going to do numerous times.

“Anyways, Gash-san. As for the reclamation goods, you have axes, hoes, food and other clothes, right?

“Eh, ah yes. We do, but……”

“Is that so, then you won’t be needing to wear those dirty clothes —-<Fireball>>!”

I fired a fireball at the bathwater that was drawn from the river. The water bursted into steam instantly, and the surroundings were dyed in white.

“I’m just preparing the bath. Ahh, but the bathwater decreased, so I made it too hot. I guess I should adjust the temperature by putting in cold water.”

I drew in the river’s water numerous times, adjusted my mana power in order to regulate the temperature of the water, and fired a weakened fireball into the bathtub.

Then, the adventurers moved from tents to houses in the village, but they were running around to see whether or not a monster appeared.

“……What are you doing, Jou-chan?”

“Ahh, I’m making a bath. It’s just right now, so try entering. Go get the new clothes from Gash-san. Also, when you return to the village, collect all the dirty clothes. I’ll wash them clean in that laundry room over there.”

I one-sidedly spoke to the dumbfounded adventurers.

“Well, it’s particularly fine whether or not I enter the bath though…… Also, we have a guy in our party that can use <<Clean>> magic.”

“Get in. That’s an order.” 1

In order for the senior adventurers to listen to what I have to say, I released my magic to overwhelm them and everyone was startled.

Then, I stopped overwhelming them and explained the reasoning as a matter-of-fact.

“How many times is it necessary to fully clean one person with <<Clean>> magic? Also, do they have enough mana to clean all the adventurers in the reclamation village?”

“W-Well……”

“See? That’s why everyone should take a bath. You guys should be dirty from the blood and sweat from the reclamation works and subjugating the monsters. That’s why you should clean yourself up.”

I persuaded the adventurers and they took a bath.

Everyone couldn’t enter at the same time, so they were divided into several groups: entering the bath group, guarding the bath group, and gathering the clothes group.

Everyone had an dissatisfied expression on their face that said ‘why us’, but they all held the baskets I created with [Creation Magic] and collected their dirty clothes.

“Well then, the dirty clothes…… They really left the blood and filth as is. It won’t come off after a single wash.”

After seeing the terrible smelling clothes that I picked up, I let out a sigh.

“—-<<Creation>> Detergent. —-<<Wash>>!”

Using the riverside’s water, I created a waterpolo and tossed in the detergent I created in the middle, threw in the clothes one by one, and washed them in the whirlpool created in the waterpolo.

“As expected of detergent. The filth is coming off.”

The blood and dirt filth have fallen off considerably, but there were still light traces of filth left.

That being said, the clothes should be much cleaner now.

I rinsed and washed the clothes with the smell of detergent attached in a separate clean water.

“Well then, it’s a lot of work to air out the laundry of the clothes I washed. It can’t be helped. —-<Dry>>!”

This time, the clothes were dried by the hot wind blowing in.

“The material of the clothes will get damaged when dried with excessive warm heat, but it can’t be helped I guess.”

Like that, I sorted the washed clothes, and there were many clothes that had holes or worn out.

“Haa, I can’t use these, but I can reuse them by applying it to the worn out clothes. I can use these, and…”

It seems like the adventurers continue to wear dirty clothes for around a week and then change into new clothes.

Inside were ones that couldn’t be used and one’s that could be used after mending them mixed in.

“Ooi, Jou-chan. We got out of the bath.”

I sorted the clothes that Tet and I washed, and the adventurers who received a new change of clothes from Gash-san called out to us.

The degree of how much filth comes off in <<Clean>> magic is different depending on the skills of the user.

Maybe it was due to the filth that could not come off with their companion’s magic finally coming off, or shaving their beard with a knife, but along with their new clothes, their appearances were neat now.

“You’ve freshened up, haven’t you? You seem like actual adventurers now unlike your previous bandit selves.”

“Ain’t that a bit too cruel!”

The guys had a wry smile at my harsh words, but it changed into a docile expression.

“We were impatient, thinking that we had to hurry up and complete the reclamation village and then settle down. We forgot about properly living like normal people. Thanks for reminding us.”

“……No need, I’m just completing the request that I received.”

“Majo-sama, you’re embarrassed~nanodesu~.”

Tet poked fun at me, and I pulled over my hood in order to hide my embarrassment.

“Well then, after the first group of people get out, I’ll draw out the water and refill it with new water.”

“Ahh, that’ll save us the trouble. But…… is your mana power fine? You’ve kept using magic ever since before right?”

“I’m fine. I have a lot of mana after all.”

I’m not creating water from nothing, but just using it to heat the river’s water and divert the water plus laundry, so the amount of mana I consumed was nothing to worry about.

Then, I discarded the bath water into the river. Once again, I amassed water and threw magic at it, making it hot water.

Since this was the second time, I understood roughly how much magic was to be used to make it the suitable temperature and immediately prepared the bath.

“Well then, I better prepare dinner. Gash-san, where’s the ingredients?”

“T-There’s… none.”

“Haa? There’s no ingredients?”
