I came out of the bathroom with wet hair when I heard the sound of thunder striking all of a sudden. I dropped my towel from the shock.

To think it actually rained.

No wonder it felt so stuffy and I woke up sticky and sweaty all over.

Sitting on the edge of my bed, I stared blankly out the window that was loud from the heavy rain. I tried to forget the scene from my dream through self-hypnosis.

It’s all fake, it’s all fake, it’s all fake, it’s all fake…

Dreams are the opposite of reality, dreams are the opposite of reality, dreams are the opposite of reality, dreams are the opposite of reality…

I’m not bent, I’m not bent, I’m not bent, I’m not bent…

Fuck, it’s not working.

The images in my head not only did not disappear, but they became clearer instead.

Even the sensation of the kiss – the strength and temperature I felt from when that vixen pushed me down – were exactly the same and as real as it can be.

The lower half of my body, little Xia Xiao Zhi who stood up indisputably was also so fucking real.

That’s right, I jerked off twice in a day because of that guy. Who would fucking believe that?

This matter has progressed to such a serious state that I could no longer turn a blind eye on, so I decided to ask for help.

The phone under my pillow just happened to vibrate twice. I reached out to check, and it was a reply from my childhood friend. “What’s wrong, Xia Xia? I just woke up.”

Before going into the bathroom earlier, my mind was in disarray so I subconsciously texted her without thinking. To think it took her so long to reply. She never had the habit of taking afternoon naps, so I knew she must have forgotten to unblock me after doing so.

But right in this moment, I didn’t have the energy to think about all that. The strong sense of crisis made me go straight to the point, “I think I might be bent really soon. What do I do?”

Once I sent that text over, I nervously stared at my phone screen, not knowing whether or not being so direct would scare my childhood friend off. After all, not even myself would believe in what I just said…

“What do you mean soon? Aren’t you already bent?”’

“…..”

Fuck, what’s wrong with her? Why isn’t she following the script?

“I thought you’d stay in self-denial for the rest of your life. Why did you suddenly embrace it now?”

I consciously ignored the first half of her message and briefly replied, “I had a dream.”

“Oh~ a wet dream~”

I refused to give in, “It’s not! And I don’t think this dream necessarily meant…I’m bent already.”

“Let go of your stubbornness as a straight man, Xiao Xia. Do you really want to wait until you’ve been thrusted down there, only will you sob and admit that you’re bent?”

Her words were so graphic that I winced.

Clearing out the mess in my head, I felt as if I had gotten some kind of epiphany. I made up my mind and asked, “Do you have any films?”

“Films? What kind? I haven’t been watching any movies lately.”

I gritted my teeth, “I meant AVs!!”

“Xiao Xia?? You…got enlightened so quickly…I really didn’t expect that…”

I was too lazy to explain it to her, only urging her a few more times for some files. Once I’ve gotten them, the dorm immediately resounded with strange sounds.

Although it wasn’t the first time I’ve watched films in the dorm, but watching AVs was still a first. Despite the purity in the purpose of doing so, I still pulled the curtains out of guilt and draped my blanket over my body, sneakily peeking out of it to watch. Frowning, I stared at the two men on the screen doing the deed.

Half an hour later, my ears started ringing from all the continuous screaming and moaning coming from my earphones. Somehow, I felt like laughing for some reason.

What’s going on, wasn’t I bent already?

Or could it be that the quality of this film is too poor?

""

I pressed on with a persistent mentality and clicked on the remaining videos. The result was that I didn’t even have a reaction, let alone able to finish any of them.

Hah! I’m still straight, aren’t I!

Overjoyed, I immediately told my childhood friend yet received a reply like this:

“Have you ever thought that you might only react to a particular person?”

What the hell, do gays only bent in a certain direction?

I didn’t agree with her at first, but after thinking about it for some time, I couldn’t help but break out in cold sweat.

I can’t be…bent only by that Shen guy, right?

“Xiao Xia, do you like that first year?”

“Impossible!!”

I have only known him for a few days!1 How can there be such a casual love!

Furthermore, he’s…such a scammer. Taking advantage of me every day with new tricks, teasing people in such familiar ways, he can’t be any good guy—!

Even if I’m bent, to the point of a paperclip, it still absolutely mustn’t be with that guy!

After I have firmly stood my ground, my phone rang.

It was my female senior who called. The meeting ended early today and she called for my help.

The rain outside was still pouring down, much heavier than when it started earlier. I couldn’t find an umbrella even after rummaging my room for a long time. Seeing I was about to be late, I had no choice but to run downstairs first, took the broken umbrella by the entrance and left.

It took about ten minutes to run from the dorm to the university building. I greatly overestimated the umbrella’s sheltering ability and ended up completely wet from the rain that flowed down the tattered surface. By the time I arrived, I looked like a huge mess.

It wasn’t too late in the evening yet, but the sky was extra gloomy today. In my flip-flops and my broken umbrella, I went around searching for half a day, but still couldn’t find Shen Die in the group of people.

Damn it, don’t tell me he left on his own.

Just as I was about to make a phone call to ask him, I felt a warm, metallic touch from the back of my neck. I turned around and found him standing right there.

He held up a black umbrella, his suit clean and not wet at all. He shoved a can of hot coffee into my hand without saying a word.

I put away my broken umbrella and rushed to get under his, couldn’t care less about being polite as I opened the can and took a sip. It was so bitter that I winced, forgetting about the cold then.

He looked at me with a sullen face, as if he was in a bad mood. “Why are you so drenched?”

The bitter aftertaste was still lingering in my mouth. I pursed my lips and answered, “My umbrella broke.”

He glanced at the plastic umbrella in my hand and said, “You call this an umbrella?”

I quickly changed the subject, “Alright already, let’s go. I’m freezing to death here.”

I wore a white T-shirt when I came out, which had gotten all wet with water dripping down my collar all the way to my thighs. The wind was so cold that I felt like I was going to be blown away. I’ll have to take a shower when I get back later at night, how exhausting.

The guy in front of me stared at me for a bit before frowning. Then he took his umbrella and shoved it to me before taking off his jacket and threw it over my head.

The familiar scent wafted over, which made me freeze up for a second. After he took back all the things in my hands, I peeped my head out of his jacket and asked hesitantly, “You’re not wearing it?”

“I’m not cold.” He said in a monotone, stable voice. After feeling his pocket out to no avail, he reached out and used his shirt sleeve to wipe the water off my face.

I was a little stunned as I remembered the dream I had in the afternoon. Suddenly, I didn’t dare to look him in the face so I lowered my head and walked to the parking lot. When I turned around, I found him downing that can of coffee.

“Didn’t you give that to me?”

Yet he finished it all by himself!

He threw the empty can accurately into the trash can two meters away and turned around, “Didn’t you not like it?”

“I…Forget it.”

I no longer want to waste any energy on this matter so I walked forward through the puddles in my flip-flops. But he tugged on my arm and stopped me, taking that broken umbrella from my hand.

“I’ll go back by myself. Go back to your dorm and take a shower.”

I was still holding his umbrella in my hand. Stunned, I asked, “You don’t need your umbrella anymore?”

He raised his hand and waved the object he was holding, “I’ll use this.”

Who was the one who laughed at that umbrella five minutes ago?

I wasn’t too happy about that. It felt like I was taking advantage of him, so I said, “It’s fine. I’ll go back with you. Another time won’t make any difference.”

He raised an eyebrow as a hint of smile flashed in his eyes. “Shower in the hotel? That works too.”

“No! I-I-I mean…”

He suddenly reached out and brushed the corner of my mouth, causing me to freeze up for a moment.

The rain was still falling around us, hitting the surface of the umbrella with a dull sound. It was slowly turning dark. He stood with his back against the rain, his features somewhat blurred from that. Yet, his low hanging gaze was still directed straight at me.

I opened my mouth hesitantly, clenching my fists a little. It was as if I could only hear my own heartbeat then.

He kissed me under the umbrella, once again disregarding where we were currently at. I let out a nervous whimper and some vague protest, but they were all forced down by him. I had no choice but to try pressing down the umbrella lower, futilely shielding us as much as possible.

He took the opportunity to lean down closer, wrapping an arm around my waist and deepening the kiss slowly. It had the bitter aftertaste of coffee.

The only thing remained in the small space under the umbrella was the shared ragged breaths of the two of us. It was blurred and also wet. My legs gradually began to go weak. Up until I could no longer hold up the umbrella properly, only did he release his hold on me.

He reached out and wrapped his jacket around me tightly, lowering his head and kissing the dimple of my face before saying in a low, husky voice, “Alright, let’s go back.”

I nodded in a daze and was pushed forward with his arm around my shoulders. The rain started letting up a little.

Only when I returned to my dorm that I snapped back to my senses.

Fuck, did I just get played by that guy again?!
