Chapter 134: Back to Village (3)

Name:Human King Author:Zaysay
When Dawn was able to kill the hydra, the fight became extremely easy for the goblins.

After all, the monsters just lost their boss, the bone, and now even the hydra was killed all of a sudden.

Even if there were some strong monsters out of the norm, they wouldn't be able to beat the goblins alone.

Besides, there were still strong goblins like Didi and Razta.

The moment that the bone monster died, it was just a certain defeat for the monsters.

"Hmm." Dawn hummed as he looked at the monster's corpses.

Although there were many monsters at the beginning, it couldn't compare to the corpses right now.

And that could only mean one thing.

"They ran, huh." Dawn said as he thought about it.

The monsters who were still alive probably ran right after seeing their boss get killed.

Or maybe even when the attack started, they already ran.

Either way, this was a good result for Dawn as that would mean there are fewer dead goblins.

It was then that Dawn heard a voice coming from his back.

However, Dawn didn't need to see who it was. After all, the voice was familiar to him.

And that goblin was Didi.

"King!"

Didi was running while he shouted, but due to his speed, he was able to reach his destination much faster.

And when he reached Dawn, he spoke as he bowed his head.

However, one couldn't deny the activeness in his voice.

"We finished scouting the area, and there are no more monsters."

"What shall we do?"

Didi said as he reported what his goblins have done.

It was true that there were no more monsters in this area as the goblins have already cleaned it up.

Even though the battle was so short, the impact it had was huge for the surroundings.

After all, Dawn was participating in it. There's no way those monsters wouldn't be able to feel it.

"Good. Clean it up."

"Also, call over Karkas."

Dawn said with a serious tone.

Although the job was done with this monster massacre, Dawn didn't want to rest.

After all, there were many things to be done. There were many issues that were left behind when he was defeated by the Warmen.

And the number of the goblins was one of his problems.

What's more, that problem was the most important thing in a goblin's village as that would literally dictate how strong the village was.

That was why Dawn was getting impatient about how they number so little.

"Yes, king." Didi said as he disappeared.

It was only a matter of time until Karkas would appear by Dawn's side, and that was true.

After all, one could already see Karkas running towards Dawn from afar.

Of course, Dawn could 'see' that with his senses as it was just that advanced.

It didn't take Karkas a long time to reach Dawn, and when he did, he quickly spoke.

"What is it, king?"

"Make three goblin units who could move well. Center those goblins around Hig, Una, and Dal."

"After you've done that, make them roam the further down south, north, and west."

"I'll let you decide for how much distance."

And when Dawn finished saying all that, Karkas widened his eyes.

After all, Dawn didn't participate, nor did he think about these kinds of stuff.

It was more normal and more reasonable for Karkas to be the one to do this kind of thing.

However, it's not like this is a bad thing. In fact, Dawn thinking things like this were something that should be celebrated.

After all, Dawn was now making commands.

The king taking control of all the goblins is something that should happen.

A goblin who is trusted by the king cannot control the goblins.

There is only so much that the goblins could take, and even they would betray Karkas.

However, not the king.

If the King of Goblins were personally ordering it, there is no one who would dare disobey.

And that is why Karkas had a smile on his face right now.

After all, the king giving orders is a step that must be taken by the king himself.

"Yes, king. Are we going to attack the villages located there?"

Karkas asked with a voice that seems to be peaceful.

However, Dawn didn't care about that as he continued speaking.

Of course, Dawn knew what Karkas was thinking.

After all, Dawn already planned to take care of the goblins in the future by doing it himself.

His plans were just messed up by what happened with the Warmen.

"Yeah. Also, I want the village to be stable enough so we can have children."

"Children, king? Are you thinking of supplying our numbers with new births?"

"Yeah. I don't think it would be realistic if I keep supplying our numbers with outside forces."

Indeed. What Dawn did to make his village big was just to make the enemy goblins become his.

However, he was now hitting that limit as he was losing them with no way to get it back.

That was why Dawn thought that it would be better even if there would be some female goblins out of the battle for a while.

After all, they would come back with another goblin with them.

And that would boost their strength, numbers, and power overall.

And that was much more realistic than expecting that there would be another village that Dawn could just conquer.

"I will see to it, my king. I shall give you a proper number by the end of the day, and I will report to you when I've finished making the goblin units."

Karkas said as he bowed his head even deeper.

"Good. I'll call for you if I have something else." Dawn said as he began walking.

And when Karkas could feel that Dawn was no longer there, he raised his head.

He spoke as if his wish has just been fulfilled.

"The king is different...but that is all for the better."

****

While his goblins were cleaning up the village and Karkas doing as he ordered, Dawn was currently walking.

He was walking in the village, and he was just observing his goblins work.

Of course, he didn't do that just to spite them, but because he wanted to see for himself.

Just how much did the goblins change just because of a single defeat.

---So empty...

Dawn thought that the place was so empty even though there were a lot of goblins working here and there.

After all, his goblins went from a thousand to half a thousand.

No, it may even be less than that as they just battled monsters.

And Dawn, who was used to that thousand goblins, felt lost in this small number.

What's more, Dawn could even see goblins who were working with injuries all over their bodies.

It was quite obvious, but they were just from a battle.

There's no way they would escape unscathed. That was why Dawn could even see a single-armed goblin working with another single-armed goblin.

And for Dawn, who was their king, this was...tragedy.

Just because of his one wrong decision to go to the west, his goblins were affected way so much more than he was.

Although Dawn was close to losing his life, his goblins literally lost their lives.

Although Dawn had his pride broken due to having lost against the Warmen, his goblins were literally broken.

Although Dawn paid for his mistake, his goblins suffered much more than him.

And that was all because of a single decision.

---What more in the future...

Dawn had insecurities about himself. He knew that he couldn't be perfect, but Dawn just wouldn't allow that.

When it comes to his goblins, Dawn wanted to be perfect.

Dawn wanted everything to be perfect for his cute little goblins.

In a way, Dawn was even more insane for the goblins rather than how the goblins are insanely loyal to him.

However, it's not like Dawn would just get down because of this.

After all, Dawn is a goblin.

Although he made mistakes, Dawn could just admit to it and be better next time.

He didn't have the complexity of the humans, and he didn't have to mind his mistakes at all times.

After all, no one would judge him for it. His goblins would even beg just for him to continue ruling them.

That was just how special of a goblin Dawn was.

---To make sure that this won't happen again...

I just have to get stronger. Dawn thought as his steps became quicker.

What Dawn thought was right. If Dawn were stronger, he wouldn't have lost to those Warmen.

If Dawn were stronger, he wouldn't have lost so many goblins right now.

If Dawn were stronger, he wouldn't have to experience what he was experiencing right now.

In the end, it all boils down to his weakness. It all boils down to the reason he is weak.

And to get stronger, there was only one thing that goblins rely on.

And that was the Blessings of the Battlefield.

However, Dawn didn't think that he needed the Blessings of the Battlefield for that.

After all, he just received a blessing from the battlefield.

That was why Dawn was sure.
