Chapter 77: The Second Hunt (3)

Name:Human King Author:Zaysay
As soon as Dawn felt that he was being looked at by some unknown creature, he used his feeling to find the location of that creature.

He even retracted his focus that was used on his goblin to find that creature.

However, no matter how much he did it, he couldn't find the source.

He already used all the cards that he could just to increase his chances of finding that creature, but it just wouldn't come out.

He came to a stop and even erased his bodily senses, as he just tried to 'feel.'

However...

---I can't find it? How can that be...

Dawn was sure that he could find the creature in a jiffy. Even if the creature were just somewhat peeping, he would definitely leave a trace.

However, Dawn couldn't find it.

That was confusing Dawn in a different manner.

After all, Dawn could even find out how a battle was done just by looking at the goblin's muscles, wounds, breathing, anything that could be called as the result of the battle.

So finding a trace of someone should be much easier than what he did earlier with Mos and Wos.

The fact that he can't...only means one thing.

---Can he hide his presence?!

And when Dawn came to this realization, Dawn was utterly flabbergasted about it.

Of course, he knew that he could hide his own presence as well since he could feel.

However, Dawn didn't know that one could erase their presence completely like this.

After all, even when he infiltrated the goblin chief Vadu's house, he was sure that he would get find out easily.

So, this creature being able to hide from him was something that Dawn didn't expect.

Why? It was because he already evolved and increased his rank, bringing his strength, stamina, speed, and intuition...everything about him and his power was upgraded.

And it was not just some small upgrade either. It was a big one where he could even easily kill now the goblin chief who could use Great Force palm.

---Is he stronger than me?

Dawn came to ask this question when he couldn't find the creature once more.

If it were a creature that was stronger than him by all means, then Dawn would find it reasonable and all.

After all, it was stronger than him.

Not finding a stronger opponent even though he used his all would make it easier for Dawn to accept who has his pride as tall as the sky.

Well, Dawn just didn't want to admit that he was losing to some creature that was weaker than him.

After all, he knew that there were creatures that could hide extremely well but do not have the strength to fight back at all.

It was then.

As Dawn continued finding that mysterious creature, something unusual finally happened.

Dawn was about to retract his feeling that was used to search the area out when he felt that he came into contact with something.

---That's...

Dawn couldn't tell what it was just from the feeling. It was quite weird as Dawn could even find out his goblins' heart movements just by focusing on them.

However, Dawn had an inkling of what the mysterious object might be.

---It's not a living creature? Hmm...

Dawn thought as he basically covered that something with all his focus.

It was reasonable for him to think that it was not a living creature. After all, it didn't respond to him at all.

Even though he directed some killing intent as he felt it, there was no retaliation or what so ever from it.

It just accepted whatever Dawn delivered.

That was why Dawn retracted his 'feelings' and opened his eyes when he returned to his body.

His eyes were focused and sharp as a blade, and he looked over the thing or creature that he found.

---I'm still being watched...

Earlier, when he was finding the creature that was watching him, Dawn could feel the pair of eyes on him.

Now that he returned, he could still feel it. However, if the last time was just probing Dawn, this time it was for looking down on Dawn.

After all, Dawn couldn't find it.

The feeling of being watched was all over Dawn's skin that it made him shudder. Not in fear but due to annoyance and anger.

After all, Dawn knows what this was like.

The enemy was tilting its head up high just to look at Dawn and was trying to prove their gap in strength.

"Huuuuu." Dawn sighed as he calmed himself down.

Zhunggg!!

His Aura that was colorful and greater than before, covered his body as he moved.

---I don't need to play with him. Right now...

Right now, that something is my priority. Dawn thought as he whipped his head when he found the location of that thing that he felt.

After all, Dawn felt that the object is something that belongs to him.

That was why he ran towards its location.

With all his strength out in the open.

Boom!

He left some destructive noise as he destroyed the ground and trees as he moved.

"Hmmm." A humming noise escaped his mouth as if he were having a picnic of some kind.

****

When Dawn left his position and made some noise, all the goblins turned their heads at the source.

However, they didn't really pay it no mind as they were on a hunt. It was only natural for the king of a group or a tribe to go out to fight something.

If there were a goblin who was worried, it would be Karkas who was in charge of the goblins.

Well, it was quite obvious who would react the most when it comes to Dawn.

The Elder, too, seems to be quite worried for Dawn as he stood beside Karkas and spoke.

"What do we do? He's going in a different direction compared to our direction."

His voice sounded worried and grim, and he was having that same look when he terrified the three goblins back then.

After all, they wouldn't be there if ever Dawn is met with some kind of trouble if they continue in their hunt.

And if ever some kind of misfortunate fate fell on Dawn as he was separated with his goblins...that would be the most pathetic mistake the goblins could make right now.

And this fact made Karkas think so hard that his face was so crumbled right now.

'It was the king's orders that we hunt...and the king is over there.' Karkas thought as he bit his lips.

He didn't know what to do right now.

Dawn's words, for Karkas, was like an absolute order that should be followed no matter what.

And that absolute order said to hunt. To clean the monsters in the area of their village.

To sweep and destroy all the threats living here.

Those were the king's words. And now, that very same king was going in a different direction.

What should Karkas do in this situation?

To follow the king's words? Or to follow the king?

Either way, both are so important for him that he could die for both of them.

"Call Didi's and Hig's group!" Karkas shouted to no one in particular as the normal goblins would quickly do that for him.

And as expected...

"GaoOOOO!" The goblins shouted out simultaneously.

Although they were some indecipherable words, that was actually the goblin's language.

And the content was that Karkas was calling for the mentioned goblins.

And since the forest was full of goblins right now...

"GaoOOoo!"

"GaRAAAA!"

"GaOOOO!

The forest shook, and the trees vibrated as almost a thousand goblins shouted at the same time.

It was as if wolves were calling for their pack as they hunt.

It was truly a mesmerizing sight.

And because of that, Didi who was at the front of the group...

"Hmmm, Karkas is calling for me?"

And Hig who was cleaning up after Didi...

"An urgent situation?"

...both reacted at the same time. Of course, their subordinates were also aware of what was happening, so they stopped in whatever they were doing.

Didi then spoke to one of the goblins who have been blessed recently. He wasn't named, so he just called him.

"Hey, I'll take Una with me. Lead the group and stop here!" Didi shouted as he gestured for Una to come.

They didn't wait for the goblin to respond as they immediately ran towards Karkas' location.

Hig also did the same as he brought Ika and Dal with him.

Although they were far away from Karkas' location, they were able to reach him quickly as they rushed with all their speed.

And as soon as they got there, Karkas was waiting for them with a worried face.

"You're finally here." Karkas' face loosened a bit as he talked.

"What are we going to do now that they are here?" The Elder asked Karkas.

He didn't know what Karkas wants to do that he called for the leading group and Hig's group.

Well, it wasn't really their group but their core members.

As Karkas looked over the goblins, his face quickly turned serious, and he spoke with the same air he had when he faced Womo in a conversation.

The pressure felt from him rose, and the goblins that recently evolved and became stronger even felt threatened at some point.

Their throats swallowed some saliva as they continued to observe Karkas, who was not a battle-type goblin.

They carefully paid attention to his words as they knew what would make Karkas like this.

"We will go where the king went!"

Karkas declared his intention for all to hear.
