Chapter 69: Encounter

Name:Human King Author:Zaysay
In the north, where the Big Tree was located and where Prawler's army was stationed before, there were two figures walking through the destroyed land.

Dust that rose from the clustered rocks and trees that fell on top of one another disturbed their vision.

Well, that is if they were normal people.

The blood that flows on the ground hasn't touched their feet as they walked through it.

It parts when the feet land on the ground and comes back when they push off the ground.

It was quite a mysterious happening, but it was quite a common sight in this world where magic was prevalent.

The bits of flesh stuck on the blood were also disappearing as they walked.

The bones scattered on the ground were turned into dust, joining the already-risen dust.

These bones were from monsters in this area or, rather, inside the premises of the Big Tree.

The two weren't from here and just entered the forest when they encountered the packs of different monsters in one spot.

That event was quite weird because it was obvious that the monsters were gathered, but it was still easily destroyed by the two figures.

And as the two continued walking, they soon exited the dust that rose.

And as soon as they emerged from the dust, the enemies waiting for them was still there.

It was the remaining monsters.

It wasn't many, but that was because the two already killed most of their numbers.

"May, take care of it for me." The woman in front, who was wearing a veil over her face, said nonchalantly.

"Yes, my lord." May replied as such, her pink lips barely moved.

Shuuu!

With her hands in front cupped together to make a sort of cup, some sort of abstract thing was gathered there.

It had the color of gold, and its pressure was immense. No, it was the winds that were disrupted by it that were causing the pressure.

That color of gold gathered and gathered until it became...small.

A small, gold marble was resting on top of May's palms.

Then, May pushed the marble towards the group of monsters.

Of course, all of that happened in just a second.

Shoooong.

Pwak! Plak! Pwak!

When the marble lowered until it reached the monsters, its golden light became brighter, and it exploded!

However, the surroundings weren't damaged.

Splash.

It only targeted the monsters remaining.

Well, they are all gone now.

Then, after seeing that the monsters were gone, May returned to her lord's side as if nothing important happened.

"Good work." The woman said as she kept walking with her face looking in front.

Then, as if the May from before wasn't here now...

"N-no. I thank you for your praise."

...she said meekly as she lowered her head.

Well, her reaction was only normal. After all, her lord only praises people when she was in a good mood.

Meaning, her lord, right now, despite being in such a disgusting and horrifying scene, was in a good mood.

They continued walking slowly, making the obstructions disappear on the ground.

And, as they continued to walk, a new presence butted in, and a voice was heard by the two of them.

"Oh, what's this?" The new voice said as he appeared in front of the two.

His red eyes and black hair could be clearly seen by the two women walking in front of the man.

There wasn't much distance between the two of them, but any one of them could easily close the distance.

Then, after they took in the man's appearance, another man entered from behind the first man who appeared.

The second man had a big body, and a bald head could be seen shining from the rays of light of the sun.

The second man just looked at the two without saying anything.

Well, it wasn't his role to say anything here and now because he couldn't. Even if he does force it, a strange wouldn't understand him.

"What should we do, my lord?" May asked the woman in front of her.

According to her judgment, she could easily kill the two, but she needed to ask for permission.

"Do nothing, those two are...Warman." The woman said simply without a change in her emotions.

"W-Warman?! Why are they here?"

May was shocked to hear that a member of the tribe Warman, was here in the Raoz forest.

Then, the first man...Red spoke as if what the two were talking about doesn't matter to him.

Well, it doesn't really matter to him.

"Did you guys...do this? You know we've been collecting these, right? Right!!" Red's voice was so angry, but his face was still of leisure.

It was actually better this way. If the hunting dogs were gone, then they would have to be the ones hunting.

After all, this was a mission they have to accomplish at all costs.

Their allies and comrades scattered in the forest must have received the same order to gather and start the hunt by now.

Red wanted to be the first one to hunt for that goblin king. Well, Boss also wanted to start the hunt as soon as possible.

It was then.

May finally recognized the two after her lord mentioned that they were Warman.

It was easy to know, especially the big guy, who he was.

She said as she examined the two with careful and interested eyes.

"Hmm. Boss the silencer."

"!'

When they heard what May said, Boss' eyebrows perked up a little bit.

It was his nickname when he was in a war, battle, fight, or battlefield of any form.

After all, any Warman who has debuted in the outside world was famous even in other parts of the world.

Their strength was just that amazing and needed, but also their strength was hard to forget.

Warman's specialty is the killing of another man.

They bisected their enemies' bodies as they laughed. They tore, ripped, smashed every part of the body as they pleased.

They killed hundreds, thousands of men as they rampaged on the battlefield.

They killed and destroyed many lives in a war.

Their fighting style, which made their enemies' blood run every time their sword, fists, arrows, or whatever their weapons are, was that memorable for all.

There was a saying in the human world that if a Warman participates in a war, it will be bloody as hell.

And since Boss was a veteran, May could easily remember him.

"So you know Boss. That's right. Now, how about we ask for some compensation for the damage you have done?"

Red moved his tongue in a gruesome way as he looked at the two ladies. Their figures were just his type, and the face of May with her dark black hair was alluring.

He didn't even have any doubts about their victory. After all, it was the personality of the Warman to be proud and confident when standing against enemies.

Seeing those actions and the attitude of Red, May whispered to the woman in front of her.

"What shall we do? I can take care of them..."

"It will be annoying if an Elder comes to take revenge for them. Just give them a light greeting and ask them what they are doing here."

The woman just replied as such. It seems she didn't want to fight the two here.

"Yes, my lord." May replied cooly as she bowed.

She then walked forward in front of the woman and stood tall before the two men.

As she took step by step...

Zhuuuung!

She gave off a pressure that couldn't be felt before.

Even Boss was feeling the pressure as his sweat dropped to the floor.

Boom!

Golden lights sparkled all over May, striking the ground and the air itself!

Zhuuung!

Her hands held some bolts of golden lights, and when she squeezed, harsh and stronger lightning sparks resounded out in the area.

Whooooooo.

"Answer my question. What are you doing here?"

Her voice backed with her lightning sounded thunderously in the men's ears.

Zhunngg!

Her image as the golden lightning was exactly like that of a thunder incarnate!

However, her enemies weren't naive.

Swooosh!

In fact, they were battle-hardened warriors that trained all their life for fights like these.

They separated when they saw the thunders try to strike them and tried to encircle her when suddenly Boss stopped.

Boss then turned one more time to look at May's face.

'Hmmm.' Boss thought while leisurely avoiding the thunder.

And when he realized who it was, he became shocked, and his head was full of suspicions.

Why is she here? If she was who Boss thinks she is, why is she attacking a Warman member?

These thoughts were circulating when Boss decided to ask directly.

Well, he would ask Red to ask for it because he couldn't.

He then raised his hand and directed some of his power to Red.

When Red noticed it and turned around, Boss quickly gave some hand signals that only Warman could recognize.

Red was reluctant to do what Boss asked him to do, but since Boss was the boss, he couldn't reject it.

"Got it." Red muttered.

Red then used the Insignia embedded on his right palm, and right after that, his eyes turned red, and he moved fast enough to dodge the thunderbolts instantly.

Swooosh!

But, he didn't.

Zhuuu! Boom!

He deflected them away with his sword and destroyed them one by one.

After a while, his efforts paid off as the thunders stopped coming after him.

The area around May seemed to have calmed down too.

And when the golden eyes and the red eyes met, the pressure increased as Red spoke.

His voice was solemn, unlike his usual attitude.

"Why is the World Lord Lavnera's servant, Warlord May, here?"
