Chapter 30: Horizon (end)

Name:Human King Author:Zaysay
The goblins were moving faster than expected and so they were able to reach their destination with just three days of walking.

The place awaiting them looks just the same with the previous village if not better. The goblins didn't mind it however as the comfort of space was the only thing that they needed here.

After arriving, they immediately tried to kill the surrounding monsters but perhaps Raen was good at managing his territory or this place was just deserted; there were no monsters stronger than them.

They stabilized this place with just but a hundred goblin. What's more is that they have done it in just a single day, making the king satisfied with the results.

And now, the upper brass of the goblins was having a meeting. The reason being was that…

"It's just I have told you. I don't know the meaning behind it but I have the title 'the fake king of the goblins'."

The goblins were shocked at this revelation of the king. There's no way the blessings of the battlefield would make a mistake. That's what they thought before and it will remain the same.

"B-but king, you have the king's symbol. You can't possibly be a fake!"

The one who answered as such was the hot-headed Didi. And the one to follow up was Karkas.

"Indeed. If I may be so frank here, we have no clue as to what title will the blessings of the battlefield give to the king. Meaning, that may be the official title; the fake king of the goblins"

As Karkas have become a goblin thinker, a rank that was so unusual that even the Elder didn't know anything about it, without him noticing it, his mind has become much sharper than before. He spoke unbelievable words with a profound reasoning.

Didi responded to Karkas' statement.

"That's true that we do not have a single clue about the title of the king but it is just preposterous to name the king as fake!"

The king is the king because he is the king. It sounds simple and in all actuality, it is simple. That's why for the blessings of the battlefield to beat around the bush is just strange. It didn't have to give a title that has an ominous part to it such as the 'fake' part.

Furthermore, the king is a being akin to a god for the goblins. For the blessings of the battlefield to not recognize him is just blasphemy.

"You have a point. Just what is going on?"

Overlooking the exchange between Didi and Karkas was the Elder and the other goblins who have been blessed. They didn't speak as they knew that they don't have a single answer to the problem.

The king gave a word to those two.

"That's not all. I also heard that I have not met the required assessment to have another title. I can't seem to remember what title that is though."

There, the Elder muttered an "Ah!' as if remembering something. The surroundings immediately gathered eyes on him and they saw that the Elder was thinking about something.

Judging that it would be better if the Elder remembered it, they didn't speak a word.

After some time of silence, the Elder finally broke it with a "king!" then he continued.

"If my thinking is correct, then the reason why you have that kind of title is the five great clans. I also believe that they are the ones holding the key to your other title."

The other goblins and even Karkas nodded their heads. All of the knowledge passed down in the Strayman was mostly about the clansman, the five great clans. The reason being was that they needed to be able to help them when the king is born. As such, they knew that the goblins closest to the king and with the most knowledge about the king are the five great clans.

Karkas offered his advice strongly to the king.

"I believe it may be for best that the king meets them. No, it's best that the king meets them."

The king nodded his head at those words.

"Indeed. After we get more used to this place and we increase our numbers is when we will go. Prepare yourselves for when we march to the five great clans!"

"Yes!"

They replied with unison. And with that, the meeting came to an end with each of them going on their way. Karkas was the only one to stay behind.

The king knew from his atmosphere that Karkas had something to say. So he urged Karkas to say his business with a "what is it?" after looking at his direction.

Karkas immediately answered to his question.

"There is something that I would like for the king to see. We have discovered it and I have a feeling…no, I am sure that the king needs to see it."

The king was mildly amazed at Karkas' opinion on that something that he needs to see. Thus, he decided to just see what it was and went with Karkas to see that something.

****

"W-what the…what is that?!"

The king shouted at the sight in front of him. He was bewildered. Karkas who brought him here was silently watching the king from behind. He felt as if his mission in life was to bring the king here. That's the kind of feeling that he had when he heard the king's reaction.

Standing atop the lands that looked to be a moderately sized hill, the king once again shouted.

"That's…just big!"

For the first time in his life, the king felt small. His pride that was as high as the sky wasn't even countering his feelings of being small. Perhaps due to the truth or maybe for some other reason, his pride was satisfied at seeing the sight in front of him.

After all, the scene that the king is seeing is the world itself! The beautiful land that ended after some point and the bountiful sea that the blackish eyes of the king couldn't see the end was that big and the king felt his heart pounding faster. He felt excitement at this sight.

What's more is that the sun is about to rise. The goblin's dark vision could see well in the dark but with the appearance of the sun, the orange light that it gave off felt satisfying. Hitting the sea and lighting the world, the king muttered.

"I want…"

He shouted.

"I want that!"

Karkas immediately answered.

"If it is for the king, we shall bring that to its knees."

He definitely answered but the king wasn't listening.

The king had his sights set on the horizon where the sun meets the sea. The sunrays protruding from the sun was just romance. With the addition of the night sky that still had the stars shining, the king once more said to no one in particular.

"I want this world!"

He continued but this time, he spoke to Karkas.

"Karkas, I want to rule this world!"

"The goblins will make it so."

Karkas replied coolly but the king didn't pay any attention to him anymore.

His excitement was reaching new heights. His excitement during battles couldn't even be compared. With that tension evident in his mind and body, the king declared boldly.

"I will name myself after the sight that I am seeing. To remind me of this sight, I will name myself Dawn!"

And so, the king…no, Dawn has set his sights on the world.
