" Damn kid! You nearly killed me!" He didn't want to say he was more worried about Samuel that would only make him look uncool in his eyes. At least that's the logic he told himself.

" You should see the look on your face! Elise, don't you think Uncle Peter is funny?"

" Un! Hehehe."

" I almost got her alright! And you Sjors? Didn't I always visit and feed you with my own hands? How could you betray me?" Peter asked rhetorically not to ruin the kid's mood.

" I feed her more than you do but she never let me ride her." Grayson chimed in. He really admired his brother who could control Sjors effortlessly, it's like they understood each other.

Sjors faced away from both, trying to avoid them. It only made them laugh painfully at the reality that she would always like Samuel the most even if he rarely visited her.

" Now, now. It's not my fault that she doesn't warm up to strangers." Samuel patted her head and felt that she liked his touch.

" That's fine and dandy but why are you running around with a herd of horses this early in the morning."

" I am going to see mother. Apparently Elise has been calling her Aunt for some reason."

" Do you have to put your nose in other people's business all the time?"

" What can I say? What about you? Did you finish the morning routine? I heard they patched up the hole late last night. Are you tired?"

" I left it to Daniel to handle and came back home....wait! Oh my god! Is this the baby deer that you told me about?" Peter rushed closer to take a look at Fiona that was still standing closer to Sjors. She wasn't even tall enough to reach Samuel's dangling foot but it was close enough for her to feel more comfortable.

" We named her Fiona. She will be joining the family because I decided to adopt her."

" Did Daniel told you about it already?"

" You said you weren't there."

" I only said, I came back but not before finding the hole and you know..that. I never thought you would be so proactive to take care of her knowing that you hate animals now!" Peter took a light jab.

" I never said I hate animal!"

" Good, for your information they will be arriving in two days tops. It will be great if you could be there for the inauguration ceremony."

" Ceremony? We are holding a ceremony?"

" What's a ceremony?" Elise asked innocently.

" It's-"

" It's for the new animals coming soon! I am sure you will like them kid!" Peter gave a thumbs' up showing how excited he was.

" New animal!?" Samuel was scared to death seeing how much Elise liked the idea! Her going near wolves? Even the thought of it frightened him!

" He is only joking. There will be no new animal. Beside don't you have plenty of them already? You can't make more than ten animal friends at one time!" Samuel immediately activated his lying mode and tried to stir away the conversation that was becoming dangerous.

" Sami! You should-"

" Uncle please! Don't put strange ideas in her head!"

" Fine!" Peter backed down in the end. They started walking back to the main mansion with Peter jogging along the way. With his bulky body it was impossible for any ponies to withstand his weight.

They reached the back garden where most of the family member were sitting bathing in morning sun. Samuel arrived at the perfect time because it was almost time for breakfast. He did cook food but didn't have time to have any time to eat it.

" Oh my, look who decided to show up."

" Doesn't he look like my grandson? It's been so long that I can't seem to remember what he actually looks like."

His grandmother and mother passed comments as he entered the garden riding Sjors. Seeing so many people, Elise simply shrunk back in his embrace while Fiona did the same too hiding behind other horses.

King seemed unaffected surprisingly, he was a avid visitor because of Grayson while Moxie and Phoenix looked around curiously while Buckeye the meekest on in the group took backstage leaving the field open for Snowball who started running around to greet everyone.

" Grandma, it's only been two days. Are you going senile due to old age?" Samuel said climbing down from Sjors.

" Boy, don't disrespect my wife in front of me. She is not wrong to say you haven't been here since you moved out." Kenneth exclaimed.

" Now, now, don't be mad at him. They are just joking around." Donald took Samuel side as always.

" But the fact still remains that I was kicked out of the family home. What's more outrageous is that uncle Peter's idea of putting a literal jungle in my backyard but I bet you already know about it."

" Let him do as he wish, he has been clamoring about it for years now beside the land has been sitting there gathering dirt." Patricia defended her son's actions.

" That's right, don't pin the blame on me. I consulted everyone before doing it."

" Lands are suppose to gather dirt, that's their only purpose! If you didn't know, someone sneaked out of the enclosure yesterday. It's only a baby deer now, next could be a wolf." Samuel was awfully agitated which made his father speak for the last time.

" Sit down, did you have breakfast already? We can talk after you have your fill." For Samuel he was the ultimate authority. If he had spoken, Samuel didn't argue with him. It also made him realize that everyone already knew about yesterday's incident because their expression remained calmed throughout when he reported it.

" Yeah, I am starving. Elise, would you like some too?"

" Umm..."

" Sit with me, you can eat whatever you like." Laura called to her and she immediately rushed to her side.

" Why is everyone making a fuss in the morning?" His aunt Mary came out rubbing her eyes. It was almost eight but she was a night owl, it was surprising seeing her up so early.

" Oh, Sami is here! Are you here alone? Where are the others?" She looked around but didn't see the girls with him.

" Ah, they are still sleeping."

" Really, now I know why you haven't been here for two days. It should be tough job living in a separate house with your girlfriends!" Mary just said something outrageous.

Everyone looked at Samuel's blushing face to know that she hit the nail right on the head! Samuel was left speechless while everyone else started laughing looking at his reaction.

That's how his day started, soon maids came with plates full of food and everyone started eating. Instead of dining room they decided to hold a open air brunch! Elise and Grayson were chasing around Fiona while the other horses took turn getting in their fun game.

Sjors on the other hand, sat beside Samuel acting as his support as he sat on the ground. It was everyone's first time seeing Sjors so calm and how much deeper their bond was.
