Yesterday night, after Samuel left, a few people were left dumbfounded by this development. After fending off their fans, Darren, Emma and Rupert were in the waiting room.

They were getting ready to enjoy a good meal and mingle after the party, but when they came back, no one was there. They could see a few people running around and asked the reason.

That's when they found out that Samuel had gone home first without even telling anyone, but what stumped them was the disappearance of Grace Generation members. Indeed, no one would be bold enough to venture backstage with bad intentions.

After getting a few more clues from the person, Darren let him go. He looked highly stressed, and it was not good to keep him here unnecessarily; he had already gotten more than enough information.

" It's not a kidnapping, right?" Rupert said seriously. He didn't think of it much, but seeing so many fans, there were bound to be some bad apples between them.

" It could be; I heard from Mr. Jean that they prioritize security over anything else. Could they have found some way to sneak in?" Darren, too, gave it some thought.

" What about calling them?" Emma asked, although she liked the boy group better and resented the other groups because of envy. These things didn't matter now; if anything wrong happened, everyone would be complicated!

" They should have tried it already. Now I understand why Miss Kim hurried off the stage while we were meeting the fans; it was not because-" Darren was about to say it was not his fault, but he immediately stopped.

He tried so hard to attend the event, and with Samuel's help, he even managed to meet his favourite idols, but upon closer inspection, it was a mistake to come here with Emma! It's not like he didn't like her, but every time he tried to 'fanboy', she would sneakily give him death stares!

Even though he constantly assured her, she would believe how he looked at them. How could he explain those were 'stares of admiration'? He knew his limits, unlike Samuel, who spoke god knows how many languages and could blend anywhere. Even his appearance was otherworldly; how was that fair!

Instead for him, they were scared away by his tall and bulky physiques. It might be fine here, but Korea went toward an ideal, not a more muscular body. He didn't have anything working for him!

" Not because?" Emma was smiling, but it instantly instilled fear in him when he looked at her.

" Not because she was getting tired!" Darren gulped a mouthful of saliva and thought for a few seconds before answering.

" She was scary!" He thought and began thinking about his life choices!

" Guys! It's not time to mess around. I think the situation worsened; I saw Mr. Jean entering the room. Should we go inside and see if we can help somehow?" Rupert reminded them once again. They were starting to steal his 'thunder' recently; he was supposed to be the group's funny one!

Two of them also saw that every member of the group and Manager Kim was also inside; even if they went inside right now, they would only hinder them. None of them had valuable suggestions, and being in a foreign land, they had little connections.

" Forget it, what about Samuel? Why did he just leave without saying anything?" Emma asked; she could only think of one person offering any valuable resource.

" That's right, aren't a dozen people always following him around? They might have spotted something odd; I heard they are not allowed to act or interfere with him in any way, only to protect him from shadows." Darren commented.

Emma and Rupert had also heard about these mysterious people before but had never seen them in person. Samuel had commented about it in the past but never disclosed much; there was nothing to be said. He only told them that they were reliable and had tested their capabilities himself during sparring sessions at his estate, nothing more.

It sounded ridiculous when they first heard about it, but also put them in a strange dilemma. It sounded like a movie plot that such people existed, but what's more astounding was Samuel could go toe to toe with them?

" It could work..but still, something feels wrong, like we are missing a piece of the puzzle," Rupert said while pondering for a second.

"" Ah!"" Emma and Darren exclaimed simultaneously like they had a sudden epiphany.

" They must have gone out with-"

" Samuel, that cheeky bastard! I knew he was up to something!" Darren cut Emma off to vent his frustration. It all beginning to make sense in his head!

Samuel coming here was on Darren's invitation, and Siwon's unfortunate accident created a perfect plan for him to show off! He must have taken this chance to invite them out with ulterior motives! Darren, as the number one fan of the group, couldn't let that happen! He must find them and do something!

" I must do something!" He shouted but felt an ominous aura from his side. Emma already guessed what her 'musclehead' of a boyfriend was thinking. It wasn't hard, but it was incredibly infuriating!

" Eh, nothing. I was just worrying about him not being able to."

" Not being able to what?" She asked again.

Darren couldn't say anything. Fortunately, Kim Bo-mi came at the right moment to give him a chance to escape! She also wanted to say something, so naturally, it was his 'job' to help a damsel in distress, right?

" Miss Kim, is everything fine?" Darren ignored Emma and asked her directly. He was afraid because he didn't know if she understood English correctly. Idols usually were trained in several languages; it was mandatory and was counted as an essential skill. The agency never knew who would become popular overseas.

Many idol groups could not break into the Western market yet, but they did have sufficient success in the Asian market and were only beginning to grow. Due to extreme competition, they could expand substantially overseas and not have a significant following inside Korea. Thus, the agency had to use these methods to heighten its future profits.

" No, there is little Sami?" She somewhat understood him but asked an explosive question in broken words. Darren already knew everything was wrong when he heard 'little' and 'Sami' together! When did they get so familiar to give each other nicknames?

Emma and Rupert were the same; they knew he helped them in performance, but there shouldn't be so much synergy between them to call each other fondly like this. Could there be some truth to Darren's worries?

" We don't know, but why are you asking us? Did everyone really leave with him?" Darren didn't think it was quick to come to conclusions like this. Maybe they went out for a meal or something, and he was about to give him a call to join?

Having a meal with his favourite stars? How could he not look forward to a situation like this? He vowed to forgive Samuel's 'indiscretions' if it was the case.

Bo-mi nodded and said, " Left together home." It was even worse than before, but Darren immediately felt the pain in his heart. It was okay till 'left' 'together, but what did she mean by 'home'? He started to feel uneasy, but still, he held some hope.

" He might have taken them for a meal or something; he doesn't have a home here. Don't you know he had been staying with Mayra?" Darren tried to reason with his own 'teammates' out of desperation.

Samuel didn't bring Mayra and Kayla because they were busy, and another reason was Elise would have to tag along, too. She was not used to this many people, so Samuel decided against it.

" Fuc-" Darren was about to curse, remembering something, but seeing Bo-mi here stopped himself. He did hear something about the people Samuel left with; he was too busy worrying about Mi Sun and others that he didn't factor in his mistake.

Earlier, The person told him about two pretty ladies he left with; at first, he didn't find anything strange in his statement. After all, Grace Generation members were all beauties, but now that he thought about it. He knew he was wrong in his assessment!

" I know why he didn't inform us before we left. It was because Mayra was here; I am sure of it." Darren said helplessly. His best friend didn't betray him; he betrayed by his own words!

Darren repeatedly told Samuel not to let him anywhere near Mayra. He didn't give him any reason, but Samuel thought he must have offended her by hitting on her. It was not far from his usual self to do it, especially considering Mayra's extreme appearance. Still, the latter didn't want anything to do with her because he was psychologically tortured by her during his college years!

Whatever Samuel thought had nothing to do with him, he only wanted space, and now that he had given it to him, he couldn't complain about it!

" You are right. He must have another reason, too; he wanted to hide his identity."

" Yeah, there were too many fans at the meeting too. Someone was bound to recognize him!" The other two also made their own reasoning, which made sense, too.

" Umm.." Bo-mi didn't know what they were saying, but she was extremely frustrated! How could they leave her here alone!? Weren't they BFFs?

"I take Little Sami?" She pondered and said with some difficulty, and looking at their changing expression, they must have understood me, right? She thought and smiled happily.

But the problem was no one knew where Mayra lived, it was a big problem! Darren took out his phone, and just as he was about to call him, he received a message from him. Emma and Rupert also had new messages.

" I am sorry, guys. I don't know what happened, but we are hosting girls I performed with earlier. I can't talk because they are making too much noise. We are having a small feast, so I must cancel our dinner arrangement. It is also very late, but don't worry, enjoy the food on my behalf. I will talk to you later." It was simple and precise text, but Darren felt inexplicable pain as he read through it.

Party? Feast? Girls? My perfect dream! He broke down and almost cried, but because of Bo-mi's presence, he steeled himself from pain temporarily.

Ultimately, they couldn't help, but the mood was significantly elevated since no one was in trouble. Other people also came out, and since it was their first meeting, Emma suggested they stay with them. Samuel had already booked the whole floor due to privacy, and many rooms were collecting dust; they could tour the city together, too!

In a way, Emma's dream of getting closer to her 'Oppas' was realized without effort. Manager Kim was hesitant at first, but when Jean told them they couldn't enjoy such luxury even if they paid for it, he agreed.

Everyone had suffered enough for today, so why didn't he take her offer and treat all group members, including the SK delegation? Emma did mention they booked the entire floor, and there were ample rooms!

With such a joyous atmosphere, no one noticed Darren debating about his life goal in the corner of the room.
